1 ੧ ਫਿਰ ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਸਾਫ਼, ਹੇਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਦੂਥੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਲਈ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਰਬਤਾਂ, ਸਿਤਾਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਛੈਣਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਗੰਮ ਵਾਕ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਹ ਸੀ,

David and the leaders of the army selected some of the sons of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun to prophesy with harps, with stringed instruments, and with cymbals. Here is the list of the men who performed this service:

2 ੨ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜ਼ੱਕੂਰ ਤੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਤੇ ਨਥਨਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਅਸ਼ਰੇਲਾਹ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ। ਉਹ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਮੁਤੀਹ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਅਗੰਮ ਵਾਕ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ

From the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph, under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied under the king's supervision.

3 ੩ ਯਦੂਥੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਗਦਲਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਸਰੀ ਤੇ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ, ਹਸ਼ਬਯਾਹ, ਤੇ ਮੱਤਿਥਯਾਹ ਛੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਯਦੂਥੂਨ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬਰਬਤ ਨਾਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਤੇ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਗੰਮ ਵਾਕ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ

From the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six in all, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who played the harp for giving thanks and praising Yahweh.

4 ੪ ਹੇਮਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਬੁੱਕੀਯਾਹ, ਮੱਤਨਯਾਹ, ਉੱਜ਼ੀਏਲ, ਸ਼ਬੂਏਲ, ਯਰੀਮੋਥ, ਹਨਨਯਾਹ, ਹਨਾਨੀ, ਅਲੀਆਥਾਹ, ਗੱਦਲਤੀ ਤੇ ਰੋਮਮਤੀ-ਅਜ਼ਰ, ਯਾਸ਼ਬਕਾਸ਼ਾਹ ਮੱਲੋਥੀ, ਹੋਥੀਰ ਤੇ ਮਹਜ਼ੀਓਥ

From the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shubael, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.

5 ੫ ਇਹ ਸਭੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਅਗੰਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਨਰਸਿੰਗਾ ਫੂਕਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਣੀਆਂ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਹੇਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਚੌਦਾਂ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਧੀਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ

All these were the sons of Heman the king's prophet. God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters to lift up his horn.

6 ੬ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੈਣਿਆਂ, ਸਤਾਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਰਬਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗਾ ਵਜਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਆਸਾਫ਼, ਯਦੂਥੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੇਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ

All these were under the direction of their fathers. They were musicians in Yahweh's house, with cymbals and stringed instruments as they served in God's house. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the king's supervision.

7 ੭ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਭਜਨ ਗਾਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਖਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਸਨ, ਦੋ ਸੌ ਅਠਾਸੀ ਸਨ।

They and their brothers who were skilled and trained to make music to Yahweh numbered 288.

8 ੮ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੇ, ਕੀ ਨਿੱਕੇ, ਕੀ ਵੱਡੇ, ਕੀ ਗੁਰੂ, ਕੀ ਚੇਲੇ, ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਪਰਚੀਆਂ ਪਾਈਆਂ

They cast lots for their duties, all alike, the same for the young as well as the old, the teacher as well as the student.

9 ੯ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਰਚੀ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਲਈ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੀ ਨਿੱਕਲੀ, ਦੂਜੀ ਗਦਲਯਾਹ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਤੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਜਣੇ ਸਨ

Now regarding Asaph's sons: The first lot fell to Joseph's family; the second fell to Gedaliah's family, twelve persons in number;

10 ੧੦ ਤੀਜੀ ਜ਼ੱਕੂਰ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the third fell to Zaccur, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

11 ੧੧ ਚੌਥੀ ਯਸਰੀ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the fourth fell to Izri, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

12 ੧੨ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਨਥਨਯਾਹ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the fifth fell to Nethaniah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

13 ੧੩ ਛੇਵੀਂ ਬੁੱਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the sixth fell to Bukkiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

14 ੧੪ ਸੱਤਵੀਂ ਯਸ਼ਰੇਲਾਹ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the seventh fell to Jesarelah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

15 ੧੫ ਅੱਠਵੀਂ ਯਸ਼ਆਯਾਹ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the eighth fell to Jeshaiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

16 ੧੬ ਨੌਵੀਂ ਮੱਤਨਯਾਹ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the ninth fell to Mattaniah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

17 ੧੭ ਦਸਵੀਂ ਸ਼ਿਮਈ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the tenth fell to Shimei, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

18 ੧੮ ਗਿਆਰਵੀਂ ਅਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the eleventh fell to Azarel, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

19 ੧੯ ਬਾਰਵੀਂ ਹਸ਼ਬਯਾਹ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the twelfth fell to Hashabiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

20 ੨੦ ਤੇਰ੍ਹਵੀਂ ਸ਼ੂਬਾਏਲ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the thirteenth fell to Shubael, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

21 ੨੧ ਚੌਦਵੀਂ ਮੱਤਿਥਯਾਹ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the fourteenth fell to Mattithiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

22 ੨੨ ਪੰਦਰਵੀਂ ਯਿਰੇਮੋਥ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the fifteenth fell to Jerimoth, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

23 ੨੩ ਸੋਲ਼ਵੀਂ ਹਨਨਯਾਹ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the sixteenth fell to Hananiah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

24 ੨੪ ਸਤਾਰਵੀਂ ਯਾਸ਼ਬਕਾਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the seventeenth fell to Joshbekashah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

25 ੨੫ ਅਠਾਰਵੀਂ ਹਨਾਨੀ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the eighteenth fell to Hanani, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

26 ੨੬ ਉੱਨੀਵੀਂ ਮੱਲੋਥੀ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the nineteenth fell to Mallothi, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

27 ੨੭ ਵੀਹਵੀਂ ਅਲੀਯਾਥਾਹ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the twentieth fell to Eliathah, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

28 ੨੮ ਇੱਕੀਵੀਂ ਹੋਥੀਰ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the twenty-first fell to Hothir, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

29 ੨੯ ਬਾਈਵੀਂ ਗੱਦਲਤੀ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the twenty-second fell to Giddalti, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

30 ੩੦ ਤੇਈਵੀਂ ਮਹਜ਼ੀਓਥ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ

the twenty-third fell to Mahazioth, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number;

31 ੩੧ ਚੌਵੀਵੀਂ ਰੋਮਮਤੀ-ਅਜ਼ਰ ਦੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ।

the twenty-fourth fell to Romamti-Ezer, his sons and his relatives, twelve persons in number.
