< Faarfannaa 36 >
1 Dura Buʼaa Faarfattootaatiif. Faarfannaa Daawit Garbicha Waaqayyoo. Ani waaʼee cubbamootaa, ergaa Waaqa bira dhufe garaa koo keessaa qaba: Waaqa sodaachuun ija isaanii dura hin jiru.
“To the chief musician, by the servant of the Lord, by David.” Saith vice itself to the wicked—so I feel it within my heart— that he should have no dread of God before his eyes.
2 Akka cubbuun isaanii ifatti baʼee hin jibbamneefis, isaan ijuma ofii isaanii duratti akka malee of saadu.
For he flattereth himself in his own eyes [too much] to find out his iniquity to hate it.
3 Dubbiin afaan isaanii jalʼinaa fi gowwoomsaa dha; isaan ogummaadhaan hojjechuu fi waan gaarii gochuu dhiisaniiru.
The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, to do good.
4 Siree isaanii irratti iyyuu isaan hammina xaxu; karaa cubbuutti of kennu; waan hamaas hin lagatan.
He deviseth wickedness upon his couch; he placeth himself on a way that is not good; evil he despiseth not.
5 Yaa Waaqayyo, araarri kee samiiwwan bira, amanamummaan kees duumessa bira gaʼa.
O Lord, into the heavens reacheth thy kindness, thy faithfulness even into the skies.
6 Qajeelummaan kee akka tulluuwwan gurguddaa ti; murtiin kees akkuma tuujuba guddaa ti. Yaa Waaqayyo, ati namaa fi bineensa ni jiraachifta.
Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy acts of justice like the great deep: man and beast dost thou ever help, O Lord.
7 Yaa Waaqi, jaalalli kee inni hin geeddaramne sun akkam ulfina qabeessa! Ilmaan namootaa, gaaddisa qoochoo keetii jalatti kooluu galu.
How precious is thy kindness, O God! And the children of men that seek shelter under the shadow of thy wings, —
8 Isaan badhaadhummaa mana keetii nyaatanii quufu; atis laga gammachuu keetii irraa isaan obaafta.
These will be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and of the stream of thy delights wilt thou give them to drink.
9 Burqaan jireenyaa si bira jiraatii; nu ifa keetiin ifa argina.
For with thee is the source of life: in thy light shall we see light.
10 Jaalala kee warra si beekaniif, qajeelummaa kees gara toleeyyiidhaaf ittuma fufi.
Draw down continuously thy kindness unto those that acknowledge thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
11 Miilli of tuultotaa natti hin dhufin; harki hamootaas dhiibee na hin fageessin.
Let not come against me the foot of pride, and let not the hand of the wicked chase me off.
12 Warri waan hamaa hojjetan kunoo kufanii diriiraniiru; gad darbatamaniiru; kaʼuus hin dandaʼan!
There are fallen the workers of wickedness: they are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.
