< Isaayyaas 29 >

1 Yaa Ariiʼeel, yaa Ariiʼeel, magaalaa Daawit keessa jiraate, siif wayyoo! Waggaa irratti waggaa dabalaa; ayyaanonni waggaas ittuma haa fufan.
Woe to Ariel! Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year; let the feasts come around;
2 Taʼus ani Ariiʼeelin marsee nan qaba; isheen boossee ni wawwaatti; isheen anaaf akka Ariiʼeel taati.
then I will distress Ariel, and there will be mourning and lamentation. She shall be to me as an altar hearth.
3 Ani karaa hundaan naannoo kee nan qubadha; gamoowwaniinis sin marsa; tuullaa biyyoos sitti naannessee nan dhaaba.
I will encamp against you all around you, and will lay siege against you with posted troops. I will raise siege works against you.
4 Ati gad deebifamtee lafa irraa ni dubbatta; haasaan kee biyyoo keessaa guunguma. Sagaleen kee akka sagalee ekeraa lafa keessaa baʼa; haasaan kees biyyoo keessaa hasaasa.
You will be brought down, and will speak out of the ground. Your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will be as of one who has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech will whisper out of the dust.
5 Diinonni kee hedduun garuu akka awwaara bullaaʼee, gara jabeeyyiin baayʼeenis akka habaqii bubbeen fudhatee taʼu. Akkuma tasaa utuu hin beekaminis,
But the multitude of your foes will be like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like chaff that blows away. Yes, it will be in an instant, suddenly.
6 Waaqayyoon Waan Hunda Dandaʼu, bakakkaadhaan, sochii lafaatii fi waca guddaadhaan, bubbeedhaan, bubbee hamaa fi arraba ibidda waa fixuutiin ni dhufa.
She will be visited by the LORD of Armies with thunder, with earthquake, with great noise, with whirlwind and storm, and with the flame of a devouring fire.
7 Ergasii tuunni saboota hundaa kan Ariiʼeeliin lolu, kan ishee fi daʼoo ishee jajjaboo dhaʼee marsee qabu, akkuma abjuu, akkuma mulʼata halkan keessaa taʼa;
The multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, will be like a dream, a vision of the night.
8 kunis akkuma namni beelaʼe tokko akka waa nyaachaa jiru abjuudhaan argee yeroo dammaqutti garuu amma illee beela qabu sana, yookaan akkuma namni dheebote tokko akka waa dhugaa jiru abjuudhaan argee yeroo dammaqutti garuu amma illee dheebuudhaan gaggabu sana taʼa. Tuuta saboota hundaa kan Tulluu Xiyoon lolu irrattis akkasuma taʼa.
It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger is not satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.
9 Rifadhaa; dinqisiifadhaas; of jaamsaatii nama waa hin argine taʼaa; machaaʼaa; garuu daadhii wayiniitiin hin taʼin; gatantaraa; garuu dhugaatii jabaadhaan hin taʼin.
Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
10 Waaqayyo hirriba cimaa isinitti buuseera; ija keessan raajota, cufeera; mataa keessan ilaaltootas, haguugeera.
For the LORD has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, the prophets; and he has covered your heads, the seers.
11 Mulʼanni kun hundi isiniif dubbii kitaaba maramaa irratti chaappeffame malee homaa miti. Yoo isin kitaaba kana nama dubbisuu dandaʼu tokkotti kennitanii, “Maaloo mee waan kana dubbisi” jettaniin inni, “Sababii kitaabichi chaappeffameef ani dubbisuu hin dandaʼu” jedhee deebisa.
All vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is educated, saying, “Read this, please;” and he says, “I cannot, for it is sealed;”
12 Yookaan yoo isin kitaaba maramaa kana nama dubbisuu hin dandeenye tokkotti kennitanii, “Maaloo mee waan kana dubbisi” jettaniin inni, “Ani akkamitti akkan dubbisu hin beeku” jedhee deebisa.
and the book is delivered to one who is not educated, saying, “Read this, please;” and he says, “I cannot read.”
13 Gooftaan akkana jedha: “Uummanni kun afaan isaatiin natti dhiʼaata; hidhii isaatiinis na kabaja; garaan isaa garuu narraa fagoo jira. Waaqeffannaan isaan na waaqeffatanis seera namni barsiisu qofaan tolfame.
The Lord said, “Because this people draws near with their mouth and honors me with their lips, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught;
14 Kanaafuu ani amma illee dinqii irratti dinqii dabalee uummata kana nan dinqisiisa; ogummaan nama ogeessaa ni bada; hubannaan hubattootaas ni dhokata.”
therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden.”
15 Warra karoora isaanii Waaqayyo duraa dhokfachuuf jedhanii qileetti gad buʼaniif, warra hojii isaanii dukkana keessatti hojjetanii, “Eenyutu nu arga? Eenyutu beeka?” jedhanii yaadaniif wayyoo!
Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from the LORD, and whose deeds are in the dark, and who say, “Who sees us?” and “Who knows us?”
16 Kun jalʼina keessan, suphee dhooftuu akka supheetti ilaaltu! Wanni tolchame tokko nama isa tolcheen “Inni na hin tolchine” jedhaa? Okkoteen tokko suphee dhooftuudhaan, “Inni homaa hin beeku” jechuu dandaʼaa?
You turn things upside down! Should the potter be thought to be like clay, that the thing made should say about him who made it, “He did not make me;” or the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?
17 Libaanoon yeroo gabaabaa keessatti lafa qotiisaa gabbatte hin taatuu? Lafti qonnaa gabbataan sunis bosona hin fakkaattuu?
Is not it yet a very little while, and Lebanon will be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field will be regarded as a forest?
18 Gaafas duudaan dubbii kitaaba maramaa ni dhagaʼa; iji nama jaamaa dimimmisaa fi dukkana keessatti ni arga.
In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness.
19 Namni gad of qabu ammas Waaqayyotti ni gammada; rakkattoonnis Qulqullicha Israaʼel sanaan ni gammadu.
The humble also will increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
20 Gara jabeeyyiin ni badu; warri namatti qoosan ni barbadaaʼu; warri hammina hojjechuu jaallatan hundinuu ni balleeffamu;
For the ruthless is brought to nothing, and the scoffer ceases, and all those who are alert to do evil are cut off—
21 warri dubbiin yakkamaa nama godhan, warri namicha mana murtiitti namaaf falmu dura kiyyoo kaaʼanii sobaan dhugaa baʼuudhaan murtii qajeelaa nama yakka hin qabnee jalʼisan ni balleeffamu.
who cause a person to be indicted by a word, and lay a snare for one who reproves in the gate, and who deprive the innocent of justice with false testimony.
22 Kanaafuu Waaqayyo inni Abrahaamin fure sun mana Yaaqoobiin akkana jedha: “Yaaqoob siʼachi deebiʼee hin qaanaʼu; fuulli isaas siʼachi hin dukkanaaʼu.
Therefore the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, says concerning the house of Jacob: “Jacob shall no longer be ashamed, neither shall his face grow pale.
23 Isaan yeroo gidduu isaaniitti ijoollee isaanii hojii harka kootii sana arganitti, maqaa koo ni qulqulleessu; isaan qulqullummaa Qulqullicha Yaaqoob ni beeku; Waaqa Israaʼelis sodaachuudhaan ni jiraatu.
But when he sees his children, the work of my hands, in the middle of him, they will sanctify my name. Yes, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.
24 Warri dogoggoran hubannaa ni argatu; warri guungumanis qajeelfama ni fudhatu.”
They also who err in spirit will come to understanding, and those who grumble will receive instruction.”
