< Ibroota 5 >

1 Tokkoon tokkoon luba ol aanaa namoota gidduudhaa filatamee waan Waaqa ilaallatu irratti namoota iddoo buʼee sababii cubbuutiif kennaa fi aarsaa dhiʼeessuuf muudama.
For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
2 Inni mataan isaa iyyuu waan dadhabbii keessa jiruuf wallaaltotaa fi warra karaa irraa jallataniif garaa laafuu ni dandaʼa.
The high priest can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness.
3 Sababii kanaaf inni cubbuu ofii isaatiif, akkasumas cubbuu namootaatiif aarsaa dhiʼeessuu qaba.
Because of this, he must offer sacrifices for sins for the people, as well as for himself.
4 Nama akkuma Aroonitti Waaqaan waamame malee, namni kam iyyuu ulfina kana ofii isaatiif hin fudhatu.
Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was.
5 Kiristoosis akkasuma luba ol aanaa taʼuuf of hin ulfeessine. Waaqni garuu, “Ati Ilma koo ti; ani harʼa si dhalcheera” jedheen.
So also Messiah didn’t glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father.”
6 Iddoo biraattis, “Akkuma sirna Malkiiseedeqitti, ati luba bara baraa ti” jedha. (aiōn g165)
As he says also in another place, “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn g165)
7 Yesuus yeroo lafa irra jiraachaa turetti iyya guddaa fi imimmaaniin isa duʼa isa oolchuu dandaʼu sanatti kadhannaa fi waammata dhiʼeeffate; sababii inni sodaa Waaqaa qabuufis kadhannaan isaa ni dhagaʼameef.
He, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,
8 Inni Ilma taʼu iyyuu dhiphina isaa sana irraa ajajamuu barate;
though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered.
9 erga kan mudaa hin qabne taasifamee immoo warra isaaf ajajaman hundaaf burqaa fayyina bara baraa taʼe. (aiōnios g166)
Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation, (aiōnios g166)
10 Akka sirna Malkiiseedeqittis luba ol aanaa jedhamee Waaqaan waamame.
named by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
11 Nu waaʼee isaa waan jennu baayʼee qabna; isin garuu waan hubachuutti dadhaboo taataniif isinii ibsuun rakkisaa dha.
About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing.
12 Isin yeroo kanatti barsiistota taʼuu qabdu ture; isin immoo nama waaʼee dhugaa dubbii Waaqaa kan jalqabaa irra deebiʼee isin barsiisutu isin barbaachisa. Nyaata jabaataas utuu hin taʼin aannan isin barbaachisa.
For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the revelations of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food.
13 Namni aannaniin jiraatu kam iyyuu waan amma illee daaʼima taʼeef dubbii qajeelummaa hin beeku.
For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby.
14 Nyaanni jabaataan garuu namoota bilchaatoo kanneen waan gaarii fi waan hamaa gargar baasanii beekuuf of leenjisaniif taʼa.
But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
