< Hisqiʼeel 42 >
1 Sana booddee namichi sun karaa kaabaatiin gara oobdii alaatti na baasee gara fuullee dareewwan oobdii mana qulqullummaa fi gara fuullee ijaarsa alaa kan karaa kaabaa jiruutti na fide.
The man took me out through the north gate to the outer courtyard into the rooms on the far side of the Temple courtyard by the northern external wall.
2 Ijaarsi balballi isaa gara kaabaatti garagalu sun dheerina dhundhuma dhibba tokkoo fi balʼina dhundhuma dhibba tokko qaba ture.
The building with the north-facing door was a hundred cubits long and fifty cubits wide.
3 Kutaa oobdii isa gara keessaa kan dhundhuma digdamaa keessaa fi kutaa fuullee madabii oobdii kan gara alaa jiru keessa sadarkaa sadiin darbiin tokko darbii kaanitti garagalee ture.
It had three floors of open halls on both sides, one facing the twenty-cubit area of the inner courtyard and one facing the pavement of the outer courtyard.
4 Dareewwan sana fuula duraanis karaan mana keessaan nama baasu kan dhundhuma kudhan balʼatee dhundhuma dhibba tokko dheeratutu ture. Balbalawwan isaaniis karaa kaabaatiin turan.
In front of the rooms was an inside walkway ten cubits wide and a hundred cubits long. Their doors opened to the north.
5 Sababii darbiiwwan sun iddoo dareewwan kanneen gara gadii irraa fi gamoo isa gidduu irraa qabatan caalaa dareewwan olii jalaa qabataniif dareewwan olii dhidhiphoo dha.
The upper rooms were smaller because of the space taken up by the open halls on the lower and middle levels of the building.
6 Dareewwan darbii sadaffaa irra jiran akka oobdiiwwanii utubaawwan hin qaban ture; kanaafuu darbiiwwan gara gadiitii fi walakkaa jiran caalaa lafa xinnaa qabu ture.
Since they didn't have pillars like the courtyards, the upper rooms were set farther back than the lower and middle levels.
7 Keenyan karaa alaa tokkos dareewwanii fi oobdii gara alaa fuullee jira ture; innis dareewwan sana fuula duraan dhundhuma shantamaa dheerata ture.
An external wall ran in front of the rooms for fifty cubits long parallel to the outer courtyard.
8 Dheerinni dareewwan oobdii alaatti aananii tarreedhaan jiranii dhundhuma shantama, tarreen mana qulqullummaatti aanee jiru immoo dhundhuma dhibba tokko dheerata ture.
The rooms on the outer courtyard extended for fifty cubits, but those that faced the Temple were a hundred cubits long.
9 Yommuu oobdii alaatii ol seenanitti, balballi karaa baʼaatiin gara dareewwan gadiitti nama seensisu tokko ni argama ture.
Below these rooms was an entrance on the east side coming from the outer courtyard.
10 Karaa kibbaatiinis dheerina dallaa oobdii gara alaa qabatee, oobdii mana qulqullummaa qabatee fuullee dallaa gara alaatiin dareewwan
Along the wall on the south side of the outer courtyard were rooms next to the courtyard and opposite the building.
11 fuula isaanii duraan karaa namni irra darbu qabantu ture. Dareewwan kunneenis akkuma dareewwan karaa kaabaa sanaa turan; isaanis dheerinaa fi balʼina, karaa ittiin gad baʼanii fi guddina wal fakkaatu qabu turan. Balbalawwan karaa kaabaa
There was a walkway in front of them, just like the rooms on the north side. These rooms had the same length and width, the same doors, floor plan, and exits.
12 balbalawwan dareewwan karaa kibbaa wajjin wal fakkaatu turan. Karaa namni irra darbu kan dallaa gara baʼaatti ijaarameen wal cina deemuun fuullee jiru kan ittiin dareewwan seenan tokkotu jira ture.
Similarly there was an entrance under the rooms on the south side of the building, coming from the east side.
13 Ergasiis inni akkana naan jedhe; “Dareewwan kaabaatii fi kibbaa kanneen gara oobdii mana qulqullummaatti garagalanii jiran sun dareewwan lubootaa, iddoo itti luboonni warri fuula Waaqayyoo duratti dhiʼaatan aarsaa aarsaa hunda caalaa qulqulluu taʼe nyaatanii dha. Isaanis aarsaa aarsaa hunda caalaa qulqulluu taʼe jechuunis kennaa midhaanii, aarsaa cubbuutii fi aarsaa yakkaa achi kaaʼu; iddoon sun qulqulluudhaatii.
The man told me, “The north and south rooms that face the Temple courtyard are holy rooms where the priests who go before the Lord will eat the most holy offerings. They will place the most holy offerings there because the place is holy, and include the grain offerings, the sin offerings, and the guilt offerings.
14 Luboonni iddoo qulqulluu sana takkaa seennaan hamma uffata ittiin tajaajilan sana of irraa baasanitti gara oobdii gara alaatti hin baʼan; wayyaan sun qulqulluudhaatii. Isaan utuu iddoo uummataaf ramadametti hin dhiʼaatin uffata biraa uffachuu qabu.”
Once the priests have entered these rooms, they are not to go to the outer courtyard before leaving their priestly clothes, because these are holy. They must change into other clothes before go where the ordinary people are.”
15 Inni erga waan mana qulqullummaa keessa jiru safaree xumuree booddee karaa balbala baʼaatiin na baasee naannoo sana hunda safare.
After the man finished measuring inside of the Temple area, he took me out through the east gate, and he measured the surrounding area as well.
16 Kallattii baʼaas ulee ittiin safaraniin safare; wanni inni safares dhundhuma dhibba shan taʼe.
Using the measuring rod he measured the east side. It was five hundred cubits long.
17 Kallattii gara kaabaas safaree safarri sun ulee safaraatiin dhundhuma dhibba shan taʼe.
He measured the north side. It was five hundred cubits long.
18 Kallattii kibbaatiinis safaree safarri sun ulee ittiin safaraniin dhundhuma dhibba shan taʼe.
He measured the south side. It was five hundred cubits long.
19 Ergasii inni gara kallattii dhiʼaatti garagalee safaree, safarri sun ulee ittiin safaraniin dhundhuma dhibba shan taʼe.
And he came around and measured the west side. It was five hundred cubits long.
20 Kanaafuu inni iddoo kallattii afraniin jiru safare. Iddoon sun dallaa iddoo qulqulluu, iddoo xuraaʼaa irraa addaan baasu kan dheerinni isaa dhundhuma dhibba shan, balʼinni isaas dhundhuma dhibba shan qaba ture.
So he measured all four sides. There was a wall surrounding it, five hundred cubits long and five hundred cubits wide, separating the holy from the common.
