< Hisqiʼeel 35 >
1 Ergasii dubbiin Waaqayyoo akkana jedhee gara koo dhufe:
Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2 “Yaa ilma namaa, fuula kee gara Tulluu Seeʼiiritti deebifadhu; isaan mormuudhaanis raajii dubbadhu;
Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
3 akkanas jedhiin: ‘Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: Yaa Tulluu Seeʼiir ani sitti kaʼeera; ani harka koo sitti hiixadhee onaa fi gatamaa sin godha.
And say to it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I [am] against thee, and I will stretch out my hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.
4 Ani magaalaawwan kee nan diiga; atis ni onta. Ergasii akka ani Waaqayyo taʼe ni beekta.
I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD.
5 “‘Ati sababii haaloo diinummaa durii garaatti qabatteef bara rakkina isaanii keessa jechuunis yeroo adabbiin isaanii dhuma irra gaʼetti Israaʼeloota dabarsitee goraadeetti kennite;
Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed [the blood of] the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time [that their] iniquity [had] an end:
6 kanaafuu ani jiraataadhaatii, jedha Waaqayyo Gooftaan; ani dhiiga dhangalaasuutti dabarsee sin kenna; ati dhiiga dhangalaasuu jalaa hin baatu. Ati waan dhiiga dhangalaasuu hin jibbineef dhiiga dhangalaasuu jalaa hin baatu.
Therefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee to blood, and blood shall pursue thee: since thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.
7 Ani Tulluu Seeʼiir onsee duwwaa nan hambisa; warra dhaquu fi deebiʼu achi irraa nan kuta.
Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.
8 Ani tulluuwwan kee reeffaan nan guuta; warri goraadeedhaan ajjeefamanis gaarran kee irra, sululawwan kee keessaa fi lageen kee hunda keessa ni ciciisu.
And I will fill his mountains with his slain [men]: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword.
9 Ani bara baraan sin onsa; magaalaawwan kees lafa jireenyaa hin taʼan. Ergasii akka ani Waaqayyo taʼe ni beektu.
I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.
10 “‘Sababii ati, “Waaqayyo achi jiraatu iyyuu, saboonni lamaan kunneenii fi biyyoonni lamaan kunneen kan koo ni taʼu; nus isaan dhuunfanna” jetteef,
Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:
11 ani jiraataadhaatii, jedha Waaqayyo Gooftaan; kanaafuu ani akkuma ati aarii fi hinaaffaa jibba isaaniif qabduun argisiifte sanaatti gatii kee siif nan kenna; anis yeroon sitti murteessutti isaan gidduutti of nan beeksisa.
Therefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thy anger, and according to thy envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.
12 Ergasiis akka ani Waaqayyo wantoota ati tulluuwwan Israaʼelitti, “Isaan onanii duwwaa hafaniiru; akka nu nyaannuufis nuu kennamaniiru” jettee tuffiin dubbatte hunda dhagaʼee jiru ni beekta.
And thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD, [and that] I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.
13 Ati afaan keetiin natti of jajjee oduu natti baayʼifteerta; anis waan kana dhagaʼeera.
Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard [them].
14 Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: Yommuu guutummaan lafaa gammadutti ani sin onsa.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.
As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do to thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Edom, [even] all of it: and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.
