1 Utuu Gooftaan iddoo aarsaa bira dhaabatuu nan arge; innis akkana jedhe: “Akka buusaawwan balbalaa raafamaniif fiixee utubaa dhaʼi. Mataa nama hundaa irratti gad isaan harcaasi; warra hafe immoo anatu goraadeedhaan fixa. Tokkoon isaanii iyyuu baqatanii hin baʼan; isaan keessaa namni tokko iyyuu hin miliqu.

I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.

2 Yoo isaan boolla qilee qotatan iyyuu harki koo achii isaan fuudha. Yoo isaan samiitti ol baʼan iyyuu ani achii gad isaan nan buusa. (Sheol h7585)

Though they dig into hell, from there shall my hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, from there will I bring them down: (Sheol h7585)

3 Yoo isaan fiixee Qarmeloos irra dhokatan iyyuu, ani achii adamsee qabee gad isaan nan fida. Yoo isaan galaana jala na dhokatan iyyuu, ani akka inni achitti isaan idduuf bofa itti nan ajaja.

And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out from there; and though they are hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, from there will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:

4 Yoo diinonni isaanii boojiʼanii isaan fudhatan, achitti goraadee isaan fixxu itti nan ajaja. “Ani waan gaariidhaaf utuu hin taʼin waan hamaadhaaf ija koo isaan irra nan buusa.”

And though they go into captivity before their enemies, there will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set my eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

5 Gooftaan, Waaqayyo Waan Hunda Dandaʼu lafa ni tuqa; isheenis ni baqxi; wanni ishee irra jiraatu hundinuu ni booʼa; biyyattiin guutuun akka laga Abbayyaa ol kaati; ergasiis akka laga Gibxi gad galti;

And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell in it shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a river; and shall be drowned, as by the river of Egypt.

6 inni darbii isaa ol dheeraa samii irratti ijaarratee hundee isaa lafa irra dhaabbatu, inni bishaanota galaanaa waamee fuula lafaa irratti gad roobsu sun maqaan isaa Waaqayyo.

It is he that buildeth his chambers in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.

7 “Isin Israaʼeloonni anaaf akkuma saba Itoophiyaa mitii?” jedha Waaqayyo. “Ani Israaʼeloota biyya Gibxiitii, Filisxeemota Kaftoorii, warra Sooriyaa immoo Qiirii baasee hin fidnee?

Are ye not as children of the Cushites to me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel from the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?

8 “Dhugumaan iji Waaqayyo Gooftaa mootummaa cubbamaa irra jira. Ani fuula lafaa irraa isa nan balleessa; taʼus ani guutumaan guutuutti mana Yaaqoob hin balleessu” jedha Waaqayyo.

Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.

9 “Ani ajaja kennee akkuma midhaan gingilchaadhaan gingilfamee iji tokko iyyuu lafa hin buune sana saboota hunda gidduutti mana Israaʼel nan gingilcha.

For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as grain is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the smallest grain fall upon the earth.

10 Cubbamoonni saba koo gidduu jiraatan hundi Warri, ‘Balaan nu hin argatu yookaan nutti hin dhufu’ jedhan hundi goraadeedhaan dhumu.

All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, who say, The evil shall not overtake nor fall upon us.

11 “Ani bara sana keessa dunkaana Daawit “Kan kufe sana deebisee nan dhaaba. Kan tarsaʼes walitti nan supha; diigamaa isaa iddootti deebisee akka duraatti nan ijaara;

In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up its breaches; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

12 kunis akka isaan hambaa Edoomii fi saboota maqaa kootiin waamaman hunda dhaalaniif” jedha Waaqayyo, inni waan kana hojjetu.

That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, who are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.

13 Waaqayyo akkana jedha; “Kunoo, barri itti namni haamu tokko isa qotu qaqqabu, “namni wayinii dhaabu immoo isa cuunfu qaqqabu tokko ni dhufa; Daadhiin wayinii haaraan tulluuwwan irraa ni coccopha; gaarran hunda keessaas ni yaaʼa.

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.

14 Ani saba koo Israaʼelin boojuudhaa nan deebisa. “Isaanis magaalaawwan diigaman deebisanii ijaaranii keessa ni jiraatu. Isaan wayinii dhaabanii, daadhii wayinii isaanii ni dhugu; isaan biqiltuu dhaabbatanii ija isaa ni nyaatu.

And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine of them; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

15 Ani Israaʼeloota biyya ofii isaanii keessa nan dhaaba; isaan biyya ani isaaniif kenne keessaa lammata hin buqqifaman,” jedha Waaqayyo Waaqni kee.

And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.
