ଯିରିମୀୟ 8
1 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜାଗଣର ଅସ୍ଥି ଓ ତାହାର ଅଧିପତିଗଣର ଅସ୍ଥି, ଯାଜକଗଣର ଅସ୍ଥି, ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଗଣଙ୍କ ଅସ୍ଥି ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ନିବାସୀଗଣର ଅସ୍ଥି ସେମାନଙ୍କ କବରରୁ ବାହାର କରିବେ।
At that time, sayeth the Lord, they shall bring out the bones of the Kings of Iudah, and the bones of their princes, and the bones of the Priests and the bones of the Prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Ierusalem out of their graues.
2 ଆଉ, ସେମାନେ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ, ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ଓ ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳସ୍ଥ ସୈନ୍ୟଗଣକୁ ଭଲ ପାଇଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କର ସେବା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗାମୀ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ତାହାସବୁ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ କରି ପକାଇବେ; ସେହି ଅସ୍ଥିସବୁ ଏକତ୍ରୀକୃତ କିଅବା କବରରେ ପୋତା ହେବ ନାହିଁ; ସେସବୁ ଭୂମିରେ ଖତ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେବ।
And they shall spread them before the sunne and the moone, and all the host of heauen, whom they haue loued, and whome they haue serued, and whome they haue followed, and whome they haue sought, and whome they haue worshipped: they shall not be gathered nor be buried, but shall be as doung vpon the earth.
3 ପୁଣି, ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଏହି ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ବଂଶକୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ତଡ଼ି ଦେଇଅଛୁ, ସେସବୁ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଥିବା ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଜୀବନ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ବରଞ୍ଚ ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁ ବାଞ୍ଛନୀୟ ହେବ।
And death shall bee desired rather then life of all the residue that remaineth of this wicked familie, which remaine in all the places where I haue scattered them, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
4 ଆହୁରି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ପଡ଼ିଲେ, କʼଣ ଆଉ ଉଠେ ନାହିଁ? ବିପଥରେ ଗଲେ, କʼଣ ଆଉ ଫେରେ ନାହିଁ?
Thou shalt say vnto them also, Thus sayeth the Lord, Shall they fall and not arise? shall he turne away and not turne againe?
5 ତେବେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମସ୍ଥ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନେ ଚିରକାଳ ବିପଥଗମନରେ କାହିଁକି ବିପଥଗାମୀ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି? ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରବଞ୍ଚନା ଦୃଢ଼ ରୂପେ ଧରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଫେରିବାକୁ ଅସମ୍ମତ।
Wherefore is this people of Ierusalem turned backe by a perpetuall rebellion? they gaue themselues to deceit, and would not returne.
6 ଆମ୍ଭେ ମନୋଯୋଗ କରି ଶୁଣିଲୁ, ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ଯଥାର୍ଥ କଥା କହିଲେ ନାହିଁ; ‘ହାୟ ହାୟ, ମୁଁ କʼଣ କରିଅଛି! ଏହା କହି କେହି ଆପଣା ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା ସକାଶେ ଅନୁତାପ କରେ ନାହିଁ;’ ଯେପରି ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱଶ୍ୱାସରେ ଅଶ୍ୱ ଯୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଦୌଡ଼େ, ସେପରି ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଲୋକ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପଥରେ ଦୌଡ଼େ।
I hearkened and heard, but none spake aright: no man repented him of his wickednesse, saying, What haue I done? euery one turned to their race, as the horse rusheth into the battell.
7 ହଁ, ଆକାଶଗାମିନୀ ଚରଳ ଆପଣାର ନିରୂପିତ ସମୟ ଜାଣେ; ଆଉ, କପୋତ, ତାଳଚୋଞ୍ଚ ଓ ସାରସ ଆପଣା ଆପଣାର ଆସିବାର କାଳ ରକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି; ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ନିୟମ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
Euen the storke in the aire knoweth her appointed times, and the turtle and the crane and the swallowe obserue the time of their comming, but my people knoweth not the iudgement of the Lord.
8 ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ଅଛି, ଏହି କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କିପରି କହୁଅଛ? ମାତ୍ର, ଦେଖ, ଅଧ୍ୟାପକମାନଙ୍କର ମିଥ୍ୟା ଲେଖନୀ ମିଥ୍ୟା ଗଢ଼ିଅଛି।
Howe doe yee say, Wee are wise, and the Lawe of the Lord is with vs? Loe, certeinly in vaine made hee it, the penne of the scribes is in vaine.
9 ଜ୍ଞାନୀମାନେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଘାବରା ଓ ଧରା ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି; ଦେଖ, ସେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ଆଉ, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଜ୍ଞାନ କି ପ୍ରକାର?
The wise men are ashamed: they are afraid and taken. loe, they haue reiected the word of the Lord, and what wisdome is in them?
10 ଏହେତୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଗଣ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ଅନ୍ୟ ଅଧିକାରୀଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର କ୍ଷେତ୍ରସବୁ ଦେବା; କାରଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କର କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ରଠାରୁ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ମହାନ ଲୋକ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ହିଁ ଲୋଭାସକ୍ତ, ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଠାରୁ ଯାଜକ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ହିଁ ମିଥ୍ୟାଚରଣ କରନ୍ତି।
Therefore will I giue their wiues vnto others, and their fieldes to them that shall possesse them: for euery one from the least euen vnto the greatest is giuen to couetousnesse, and from the Prophet euen vnto the Priest, euery one dealeth falsely.
11 ପୁଣି, ଶାନ୍ତି ନ ଥିଲେ ହେଁ ସେମାନେ ‘ଶାନ୍ତି, ଶାନ୍ତି’ ବୋଲି କହି ଆମ୍ଭ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ କନ୍ୟାର କ୍ଷତ ଉପରେ ଉପରେ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରନ୍ତି।
For they haue healed the hurt of the daughter of my people with sweete woordes, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.
12 ସେମାନେ ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି କʼଣ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେଲେ? ନା, ସେମାନେ କିଛି ହିଁ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ମୁଖ ବିବର୍ଣ୍ଣ କଲେ ନାହିଁ; ଏହେତୁ ସେମାନେ ପତିତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପତିତ ହେବେ; ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତିର ସମୟରେ ସେମାନେ ନିପାତିତ ହେବେ।
Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not ashamed, neither coulde they haue any shame: therefore shall they fall among the slaine: when I shall visite them, they shall be cast downe, sayeth the Lord.
13 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିଃଶେଷ ରୂପେ ସଂହାର କରିବା; ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାଲତାରେ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାଫଳ, କିଅବା ଡିମ୍ବିରି ବୃକ୍ଷରେ ଡିମ୍ବିରି ଫଳ ରହିବ ନାହିଁ ଓ ପତ୍ର ମ୍ଳାନ ହେବ; ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯାହା ଦେଇଅଛୁ, ସେସବୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଛାଡ଼ିଯିବ।”
I wil surely consume them, sayth the Lord: there shalbe no grapes on the vine, nor figges on the figtree, and the leafe shall fade, and the things that I haue giuen them, shall depart from them.
14 ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ତୁନି ହୋଇ ବସୁଅଛୁ? ଏକତ୍ରିତ ହୁଅ, ଆସ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରାଚୀର-ବେଷ୍ଟିତ ନଗରମାନରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରୁ ଓ ସେଠାରେ ନୀରବ ହେଉ; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ପାପ କରିଅଛୁ ବୋଲି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ନୀରବ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ବିଷବୃକ୍ଷର ରସ ପାନ କରିବାକୁ ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି।
Why doe we stay? assemble your selues, and let vs enter into the strong cities, and let vs be quiet there: for the Lord our God hath put vs to silence and giuen vs water with gall to drinke, because we haue sinned against the Lord.
15 ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶାନ୍ତିର ଅପେକ୍ଷା କଲୁ, ମାତ୍ର କିଛି ମଙ୍ଗଳ ହେଲା ନାହିଁ; ଆରୋଗ୍ୟ ସମୟର ଅପେକ୍ଷା କଲୁ, ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ଆଶଙ୍କା ଉପସ୍ଥିତ!
We looked for peace, but no good came, and for a time of health, and behold troubles.
16 “ଦାନ୍ ନଗରଠାରୁ ତାହାର ଅଶ୍ୱଗଣର ନାସା ଶବ୍ଦ ଶୁଣା ଯାଉଅଛି; ତାହାର ବଳିଷ୍ଠ ଅଶ୍ୱଗଣର ହିଁ ହିଁ ଶବ୍ଦରେ ସମୁଦାୟ ଦେଶ କମ୍ପୁଅଛି; କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଆସିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ଦେଶ ଓ ତନ୍ମଧ୍ୟସ୍ଥିତସକଳ ନଗର ଓ ତନ୍ନିବାସୀଗଣକୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି;
The neying of his horses was heard from Dan, the whole lande trembled at the noyse of the neying of his strong horses: for they are come, and haue deuoured the land with all that is in it, the citie, and those that dwell therein.
17 ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟକୁ ସର୍ପ, କାଳସର୍ପମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇବା, ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଂଶନ କରିବେ,” ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି।
For beholde, I will sende serpents, and cockatrices among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall sting you, sayth the Lord.
18 ଆହା, ମୁଁ ଯେବେ ଦୁଃଖ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ସାନ୍ତ୍ୱନା କରିପାରନ୍ତି! ମୋର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ମୋʼ ହୃଦୟ ମୂର୍ଚ୍ଛିତ।
I would haue comforted my selfe against sorowe, but mine heart is heauie in me.
19 ଦେଖ, ଅତି ଦୂର ଦେଶରୁ ମୋʼ ଲୋକଙ୍କ କନ୍ୟାର ଆର୍ତ୍ତନାଦ; “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କʼଣ ସିୟୋନରେ ନାହାନ୍ତି? ତହିଁର ରାଜା କʼଣ ତହିଁ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ନାହାନ୍ତି?” “ସେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ଖୋଦିତ ପ୍ରତିମା ଓ ବିଦେଶୀୟ ଅସାର ବସ୍ତୁ ସମୂହ ଦ୍ୱାରା କାହିଁକି ଆମ୍ଭଙ୍କୁ ବିରକ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି?”
Behold, the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people for feare of them of a farre countrey, Is not the Lord in Zion? is not her king in her? Why haue they prouoked mee to anger with their grauen images, and with the vanities of a strange god?
20 “ଶସ୍ୟସଂଗ୍ରହର ସମୟ ଗତ ହେଲା, ଗ୍ରୀଷ୍ମକାଳ ଶେଷ ହେଲା, ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ହୋଇ ନାହିଁ।”
The haruest is past, the sommer is ended, and we are not holpen.
21 ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ କନ୍ୟାର ଦୁଃଖ ସକାଶୁ ଦୁଃଖିତ; ମୁଁ ମଳିନ; ବିସ୍ମୟତା ମୋତେ ଆକ୍ରାନ୍ତ କରିଅଛି।
I am sore vexed for the hurt of ye daughter of my people: I am heauie, and astonishment hath taken me.
22 ଗିଲୀୟଦରେ କʼଣ ଔଷଧ ନାହିଁ? ସେଠାରେ କʼଣ ବୈଦ୍ୟ ନାହାନ୍ତି? ତେବେ ମୋʼ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ କନ୍ୟା କାହିଁକି ପୁନଃ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟଲାଭ କରୁ ନାହିଁ?
Is there no balme at Gilead? is there no Physition there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recouered.
