1 Syng Herren ein ny song, syng for Herren, all jordi!
Sing vnto the Lord a newe song: sing vnto the Lord, all the earth.
2 Syng for Herren, lova hans namn, forkynn frå dag til dag hans frelsa!
Sing vnto the Lord, and prayse his Name: declare his saluation from day to day.
3 Fortel millom heidningar hans æra, millom alle folkeslag hans under!
Declare his glory among all nations, and his wonders among all people.
4 For Herren er stor og mykje lovsungen, skræmeleg er han framfor alle gudar.
For the Lord is great and much to be praysed: he is to be feared aboue all gods.
5 For alle gudar hjå folki er avgudar; men Herren hev gjort himmelen.
For all the gods of the people are idoles: but the Lord made the heauens.
6 Høgd og herlegdom er for hans åsyn, styrke og prydnad i hans heilagdom.
Strength and glory are before him: power and beautie are in his Sanctuarie.
7 Gjev Herren, de folke-ætter, gjev Herren æra og magt!
Giue vnto the Lord, ye families of the people: giue vnto the Lord glory and power.
8 Gjev Herren hans namns æra, tak gåvor med og kom i hans fyregardar!
Giue vnto the Lord the glory of his Name: bring an offering, and enter into his courtes.
9 Tilbed Herren i heilagt skrud, skjelv for hans åsyn, all jordi!
Worship the Lord in the glorious Sanctuarie: tremble before him all the earth.
10 Seg millom heidningarne: «Herren er konge, og jordriket stend fast, det let seg ikkje rikka; han dømer folki med rettvisa.»
Say among the nations, The Lord reigneth: surely the world shalbe stable, and not moue, and he shall iudge the people in righteousnesse.
11 Himmelen glede seg, og jordi fagne seg, havet dure og alt som i det er!
Let the heauens reioyce, and let the earth be glad: let the sea roare, and all that therein is.
12 Marki frygde seg og alt det som på marki er! Då fegnast alle tre i skogen
Let the field be ioyfull, and all that is in it: let all the trees of the wood then reioyce
13 for Herrens åsyn; for han kjem, for han kjem til å døma jordi; han skal døma jordriket med rettferd og folki i sin truskap.
Before the Lord: for he commeth, for he cometh to iudge the earth: he wil iudge the world with righteousnes, and the people in his trueth.
