5 Mosebok 12
1 Dette er dei loverne og bodi de skal halda dykk etter i det landet som Herren, fedreguden dykkar, hev gjeve dykk; lat deim aldri ganga dykk or minne so lenge de liver på jordi:
These ben the heestis and domes, whiche ye owen to do, in the lond which the Lord God of thi fadrys schal yyue to thee, that thou welde it, in alle daies in whiche thou schalt go on erthe.
2 Der som dei folki de tek landet frå, hev dyrka gudarne sine, der skal de gjera det audt, på dei høge fjell og på haugar og under sigrøne tre.
Distrie ye alle the places wherynne hethen men whiche ye schulen welde, worschipiden her goddis, on hiy mounteyns, and litle hillis, and vndur ech tre ful of bowis.
3 De skal riva ned altari deira, og slå sund minnesteinarne; dei heilage trei deira skal de brenna, og hogga sund gudebilæti, og rydja ut namni deira der dei hev vore.
Distrie ye `the auteris of hem, and `breke ye the ymagis; brenne ye the wodis with fier, and al to breke ye the idolis; destrie ye `the names of hem fro the places.
4 Når de dyrkar Herren, dykkar Gud, skal de ikkje fara åt som dei folki gjorde;
Ye schulen not do so to youre Lord God;
5 de skal søkja til den staden som Herren, dykkar Gud, vel seg til bustad i eit av fylki dykkar; dit skal du koma,
but ye schulen come to the place which youre Lord God chees of alle youre lynagis, that he putte his name there, and dwelle therynne;
6 og dit skal de føra brennofferi og slagtofferi dykkar, og tiendi og reidorne dykkar, og gåvorne dykkar, både deim de hev lova, og deim de gjev i godvilje, og frumsungarne av storfeet og småfeet dykkar.
and ye schulen come, and schulen offre in that place youre brent sacrifices, and slayn sacrifices, the dymes, and firste fruytis of youre hondis, and avowis and yiftis, the firste gendrid thingis of oxun, and of scheep.
7 Og der skal de halda måltid for Herrens åsyn, de og huslydarne dykkar, og gleda dykk i alt det de hev vunne med arbeidet dykkar, og som Herren, dykkar Gud, hev velsigna dykk med.
And ye and youre housis schulen ete there in the siyt of youre Lord God; and ye schulen be glad in alle thingis to whiche ye putten hond, in whiche youre Lord God blesside you.
8 De må ikkje gjera so som me gjer her i dag - for no gjer kvar det han sjølv held for rett -
Ye schulen not do there tho thingis whiche we don here to dai, ech man that semeth riytful to `hym silf.
9 av di de endå ikkje er komne til den heimen og den odelseigni som Herren vil gjeva dykk.
For `til in to present tyme ye camen not to reste and possessioun, which the Lord God schal yyue to you.
10 Men når de hev gjenge yver Jordan, og sett dykk ned i det landet som Herren, dykkar Gud, gjev dykk til odel og eiga, og han hev gjeve dykk ro for alle fiendar rundt ikring, so de bur trygt,
Ye schulen passe Jordan, and ye schulen dwelle in the lond which youre Lord God schal yyue to you, that ye reste fro alle enemyes `bi cumpas, and dwelle without ony drede.
11 då vil han kåra seg ein bustad millom dykk, og dit skal det koma med alt det eg segjer dykk fyre: brennofferi og slagtofferi dykkar, tiendi og reidorne og alle dei valde gåvorne som de hev lova Herren.
In the place which youre Lord God chees that his name be therynne. Thidur ye schulen bere alle thingis, whiche Y comaunde, brent sacrifices, and sacrifices, and the dymes, and firste fruytis of youre hondis, and what euere is the beste in yiftis, whiche ye auowiden to the Lord.
12 Og de skal gleda dykk for Herrens åsyn, de og sønerne og døtterne dykkar, og drengjerne og tenestgjentorne, og levitarne som bur hjå dykk; for dei hev ikkje fenge nokon arvlut tilliks med dykk.
Ther ye schulen ete bifor youre Lord God, ye, and youre sones and douytris, youre seruauntis, and seruauntessis, and the dekenes, that dwellen in youre citees; for thei han not other part and possessioun among you.
13 Agta deg at du ikkje ber fram brennofferi dine kvar du kjem på det.
Be thou war lest thou offre thi brent sacrifices in ech place which thou seest,
14 På den staden som Herren vel seg ut i eit av fylki dykkar, der skal du ofra brennofferi dine, og der skal du gjera alt anna eg segjer deg fyre.
but in that place which the Lord chees in oon of thi lynagis thou schalt offre sacrifices, and schalt do what euer thingis Y comaunde to thee.
15 Men elles kann de slagta, og eta kjøt so mykje du hev hug til, i alle heimarne dykkar, etter som Herren, dykkar Gud, gjev dykk råd til. Både ureine og reine kann eta det, liksom det var gasella eller hjort,
Forsothe if thou wolt ete, and the etyng of fleischis delitith thee, sle thou, and ete, bi the blessyng of thi Lord God, which he yaf to thee in thi citees, whether it is vnclene, `that is, spottid ether wemmed and feble, ether clene, `that is, hool in membris and with out wem, which is leueful to be offrid, thou schalt ete as a capret and hert; oneli without etyng of blood,
16 so nær som blodet; det må de ikkje eta; de skal slå det ut på marki liksom vatn.
which thou schalt schede out as watir on the erthe.
17 Tiendi av kornet ditt og av vinen og oljen, og frumsungarne av storfeet og småfeet ditt, og loveofferi som du hev vigt, og gåvorne som du gjev i godvilje, og reidorne som du ber fram, det må du ikkje eta heime i di eigi bygd.
Thou schalt not mowe ete in thi citees the tithis of thi wheete, wyn, and oile, the firste gendrid thingis of droues, and of scheep, and alle thingis whiche thou hast avowid and wolt offre bi fre wille, and the firste fruytis of thin hondis;
18 For Herrens åsyn, på den staden han vel seg ut, skal du eta det, du og son sin og dotter di, og drengen og tenestgjenta, og leviten som bur innan portarne dine, og du skal gleda deg for Herrens åsyn i alt det du hev vunne med arbeidet ditt;
but thou schalt ete tho bifor thi Lord God, in the place which thi Lord God chees, thou, and thi sone, and douyter, seruaunt, and seruauntesse, and the dekene that dwellith in thi citees; and thou schalt be glad, and schalt be fillid bifor thi Lord God in alle thingis to whiche thou holdist forth thin hond.
19 men agta deg at du aldri gløymer leviten so lenge du liver i landet ditt!
Be thou war lest thou forsake the dekene in al tyme, `in which thou lyuest in erthe.
20 Når Herren, din Gud, aukar riket ditt, soleis som han hev lova deg, og du tenkjer som so: «No vil eg eta kjøt, » av di du hev hug på kjøt, so kann du eta kjøt so mykje du vil.
Whanne thi Lord God hath alargid thi termes, as he spak to thee, and thou wolt ete fleischis, whiche thi soule desirith,
21 Hev du lang veg til den staden som Herren, din Gud, hev valt seg til bustad, so må du gjera som eg hev sagt, og slagta noko av storfeet og småfeet som Herren hev gjeve deg, og eta det i bygdi di, so mykje som du hev hug til.
forsothe if the place is fer, which thi Lord God chees, that his name be there, thou schalt sle of thin oxun, and scheep, whiche thou hast, as `the Lord comaundide to thee; and thou schalt ete in thi citees as it plesith thee.
22 Men du må eta det liksom det var gasella eller hjort; både ureine og reine kann eta det.
As a capret and hert is etun, so thou schalt ete tho; bothe a cleene man and vncleene schulen ete therof in comyn.
23 Men kom i hug at du ikkje et blodet! For i blodet er livet, og du må ikkje eta livet saman med kjøtet.
Oneli eschewe thou this, that thou ete not blood; for the blood `of tho beestis is for the lijf, and therfor thou owist not ete the lijf with fleischis,
24 Du må ikkje eta blodet; du skal slå det ut på marki liksom vatn.
but thou schalt schede as watir `the blood on the erthe,
25 Et det ikkje, so skal det ganga deg vel, og borni dine og, for di du gjer det som er rett i Herrens augo.
that it be wel to thee, and to thi sones after thee, whanne thou hast do that, that plesith in the siyt of the Lord.
26 Men vigslegåvorne som du vil gjeva og loveofferi, skal du taka og føra til den staden som Herren hev valt seg ut.
Sotheli thou schalt take that that thou `auowidist, and halewidist to the Lord, and thou schalt come to the place which the Lord chees;
27 Brennofferi dine skal du ofra på Herrens altar, både kjøtet og blodet; av slagtofferi skal blodet hellast ut på altaret; men kjøtet kann du eta.
and thou schalt offre thin offryngis, fleischis, and blood, on the auter of thi Lord God; thou schalt schede in the auter the blood of sacrifices; forsothe thou schalt ete the fleischis.
28 Lyd då etter alle desse ordi som eg segjer deg no, og ber deim i hugen, so det kann ganga deg og borni dine vel i all æva, for di du gjer det som er godt og rett i augo åt Herren, din Gud!
Kepe thou and here alle thingis whiche Y comaunde to thee, that it be wel to thee, and to thi sones after thee, with outen ende, whanne thou hast do that, that is good and plesaunt in the siyt of thi Lord God.
29 Når Herren, din Gud, hev rudt ut for deg dei folki du no fer imot og vil driva burt, og når du hev jaga deim ut og sett deg ned i landet deira,
Whanne thi Lord God hath distryed bifor thi face folkis, to whiche thou schalt entre to welde, and thou hast weldid tho folkis, and hast dwellid in `the lond of hem,
30 agta deg då at du ikkje vert dåra og fylgjer i fotfaret deira, etter dei hev vorte utøydde for augo dine! Du skal ikkje spyrja etter gudarne deira og segja: «Korleis tente desse folki gudarne sine? Eg vil gjera som dei.»
be thou war lest thou sue hem, aftir that thei ben distried, whanne thou entrist, and thou seke `the cerymonyes of hem, and seie, As these folkis worschipyden her goddis, so and Y schal worschipe.
31 Far aldri åt som dei gjer, når du dyrkar Herren, din Gud; for alt det som Herren mislikar, og som er ein styggedom hans augo, det gjer dei for gudarne sine; jamvel sønerne og døtterne sine brenner dei til æra for desse gudarne sine.
Thou schalt not do in lijk manere to thi Lord God; for thei diden to her goddis alle abhomynaciouns whiche the Lord wlatith, and offriden her sones and douytris, and brenten with fier.
32 Alt det eg segjer dykk fyre, skal de gøyma i hjarta, og liva etter det; de må ingen ting leggja attåt, og ingen ting taka ifrå.
Do thou to the Lord this thing oneli which Y comaunde to thee, nethir adde thou ony thing, nether abate.
