भजनसंग्रह 124

1 अब इस्राएलले भनोस्, “परमप्रभु हाम्रो पक्षमा नहुनुभएको भए,

A Song of the going up. Of David. If it had not been the Lord who was on our side (let Israel now say);

2 मानिसहरू हाम्रा विरुद्धमा खडा हुँदा परमप्रभु हाम्रो पक्षमा नहुनुभएको भए,

If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men came up against us;

3 तब हाम्रा विरुद्धमा तिनीहरूका रिस दन्किंदा तिनीहरूले हामीलाई जिउँदै निल्नेथिए ।

They would have made a meal of us while still living, in the heat of their wrath against us:

4 पानीले हामीलाई बगाएर लानेथियो । पानीको भलले हामीलाई बगाउनेथियो ।

We would have been covered by the waters; the streams would have gone over our soul;

5 तब उर्लंदो पानीले हामीलाई डुबाउनेथियो ।”

Yes, the waters of pride would have gone over our soul.

6 परमप्रभुको प्रशंसा होस्, जसले हामीलाई तिनीहरूको दाँतले धुजाधुजा हुन दिनुभएको छैन ।

Praise be to the Lord, who has not let us be wounded by their teeth.

7 शिकारीको पासोबाट चरा फुत्‍केझैं हामी भएका छौं । पासो चुँडेको छ र हामी उम्केका छौं ।

Our soul has gone free like a bird out of the net of those who would take her: the net is broken, and we are free.

8 परमप्रभु हाम्रो सहायता हुनुहुन्छ, जसले स्वर्ग र पृथ्वी बनाउनुभयो ।

Our help is in the name of the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.
