याकूब 1
1 परमेश्वर र प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्टका सेवक याकूबबाट, छरपष्ट भएका बाह्र कुललाई अभिवादन ।
James, the seruaunt of God, and of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, to the twelue kinredis, that ben in scatering abrood, helthe.
2 मेरा भाइहरू हो, तिमीहरूले अनेकौँ किसिमका समस्याहरूको अनुभव गर्दा त्यसलाई पूर्ण रूपमा आनन्द सम्झ,
My britheren, deme ye al ioye, whanne ye fallen in to diuerse temptaciouns, witynge,
3 तिमीहरू जान्दछौ, कि तिमीहरूको विश्वासको जाँचले धैर्य उत्पन्न गराउँदछ ।
that the preuyng of youre feith worchith pacience;
4 धैर्यलाई पूर्ण रूपमा काम गर्न देओ, ताकि तिमीहरू सम्पूर्ण रूपमा सुधारिएको र पूर्ण हुन सक र तिमीहरूमा कुनै कुराको कमी नहोस् ।
and pacience hath a perfit werk, that ye be perfit and hole, and faile in no thing.
5 तर यदि तिमीहरूमध्ये कसैलाई बुद्धिको खाँचो छ भने, माग्ने जति सबैलाई उदारतासँग र नहप्काइकन दिनुहुने परमेश्वरसँग उसले मागोस् र उहाँले उसलाई त्यो दिनुहुनेछ ।
And if ony of you nedith wisdom, axe he of God, which yyueth to alle men largeli, and vpbreidith not; and it schal be youun to hym.
6 तर उसले शङ्का नगरी विश्वाससाथ मागोस् । किनभने शङ्का गर्नेचाहिँ बतासले हुत्त्याउने र यताउता पल्टाउने समुद्रको छालजस्तो हुन्छ ।
But axe he in feith, and doute no thing; for he that doutith, is lijk to a wawe of the see, which is moued and borun a boute of wynde.
7 त्यस्तो व्यक्तिले परमप्रभुबाट कुनै पनि कुरा पाउनेछु भनी नसोचोस् ।
Therfor gesse not the ilke man, that he schal take ony thing of the Lord.
8 त्यस्तो व्यक्ति दोहोरो मनको हुन्छ, र आफ्ना सबै चालमा ऊ अस्थिर हुन्छ ।
A man dowble in soule is vnstable in alle hise weies.
9 दीन भाइले आफ्नो उच्च अवस्थामा गर्व गरोस्,
And a meke brother haue glorie in his enhaunsyng,
10 तर धनी मानिसले आफ्नो दीनतामा गर्व गरोस्, किनभने ऊ घाँसमा फलेको जङ्गली फुलझैँ ओइलाएर बितिजानेछ ।
and a riche man in his lownesse; for as the flour of gras he schal passe.
11 किनकि प्रचण्ड तापसहित सूर्य उदाउँछ र घाँसलाई सुकाइदिन्छ । फुल झर्छ, र त्यसको सौन्दर्य नष्ट हुन्छ । त्यसै गरी, धनी मानिस आफ्नो यात्राको बिचमा नै बिलाएर जानेछ ।
The sunne roos vp with heete, and driede the gras, and the flour of it felde doun, and the fairnesse of his chere perischide; and so a riche man welewith in hise weies.
12 त्यो मानिस धन्यको हो जो परीक्षामा स्थिर रहन्छ । किनभने परीक्षामा सफलता प्राप्त गरिसकेपछि उसले जीवनको मुकुट पाउनेछ, जुन परमेश्वरलाई प्रेम गर्नेहरूका निम्ति प्रतिज्ञा गरिएको छ ।
Blessid is the man, that suffrith temptacioun; for whanne he schal be preued, he schal resseyue the coroun of lijf, which God biheyte to men that louen hym.
13 परीक्षामा पर्दा “यो परीक्षा परमेश्वरबाट आएको हो” भनी कसैले पनि नभनोस् किनभने दुष्टबाट परमेश्वरको परीक्षा हुँदैन र उहाँ आफैँले पनि कसैको परीक्षा गर्नुहुन्न ।
No man whanne he is temptid, seie, that he is temptid of God; for whi God is not a temptere of yuele thingis, for he temptith no man.
14 तर हरेक व्यक्ति आफ्नै अभिलाषाद्वारा परीक्षामा पर्दछ, जसले उसलाई बहकाउँछ र प्रलोभनमा पार्दछ ।
But ech man is temptid, drawun and stirid of his owne coueiting.
15 अभिलाषाले गर्भधारण गरेपछि त्यसले पाप जन्माउँछ । अनि पाप पूर्ण रूपमा बढेपछि त्यसले मृत्यु ल्याउँछ ।
Aftirward coueityng, whanne it hath conseyued, bringith forth synne; but synne, whanne it is fillid, gendrith deth.
16 मेरा प्रिय भाइहरू हो, धोकामा नपर ।
Therfor, my most dereworthe britheren, nyle ye erre.
17 हरेक असल वरदान र हरेक सिद्ध वरदान माथिबाटको हो । ज्योतिका पिताबाट त्यो तल आउँछ । उहाँ बद्लिरहने छायाजस्तो बद्लिनुहुन्न ।
Ech good yifte, and ech perfit yifte is from aboue, and cometh doun fro the fadir of liytis, anentis whom is noon other chaungyng, ne ouerschadewyng of reward.
18 उहाँले सृष्टि गर्नुभएका सबै कुरामध्ये हामी पहिलो फलझैँ हुन सकौँ भनेर परमेश्वरले सत्यको वचनद्वारा हामीलाई जीवन दिनलाई चुन्नुभयो ।
For wilfulli he bigat vs bi the word of treuthe, that we be a bigynnyng of his creature.
19 मेरो प्रिय भाइहरू हो, तिमीहरू यो जान्दछौः हरेक मानिस सुन्नमा छिटो, बोल्नमा ढिलो र रिसाउनमा धीमा होस् ।
Wite ye, my britheren moost loued, be ech man swift to here, but slow to speke, and slow to wraththe;
20 किनभने मानिसको रिसले परमेश्वरको धार्मिकताको काम गर्दैन ।
for the wraththe of man worchith not the riytwisnesse of God.
21 यसकारण, सबै पापमय घिनलाग्दा कुरा र दुष्टताको प्रचुरतालाई मिल्काइदेओ । रोपिएको वचनलाई विनम्रतामा धारण गर जसले तिमीहरूका प्राणलाई बचाउन सक्छ ।
For which thing caste ye awei al vnclennesse, and plentee of malice, and in myldenesse resseyue ye the word that is plauntid, that may saue youre soulis.
22 आफैँलाई धोका दिने गरी वचन सुन्ने मात्र होइन, तर पालन पनि गर ।
But be ye doeris of the word, and not hereris oneli, disseiuynge you silf.
23 किनकि यदि कोही वचन सुन्ने मात्र व्यक्ति हो, तर पालन गर्ने व्यक्ति होइन भने ऊ ऐनामा आफ्नो स्वाभाविक अनुहार जाँच्ने मानिसजस्तै हो ।
For if ony man is an herere of the word, and not a doere, this schal be licned to a man that biholdith the cheer of his birthe in a mirour;
24 उसले आफैँलाई जाँच्छ र गइहाल्छ र ऊ कस्तो थियो भन्ने कुरा तुरुन्तै बिर्सिहाल्छ ।
for he bihelde hym silf, and wente awei, and anoon he foryat which he was.
25 तर सुनेर बिर्सने व्यक्ति मात्र नभई स्वतन्त्रताको सिद्ध व्यवस्थालाई होसियारीपूर्वक ध्यान दिने र निरन्तर त्यस्तै गरिरहने व्यक्तिचाहिँ उसले गर्ने कामहरूमा आशिषित हुनेछ ।
But he that biholdith in the lawe of perfit fredom, and dwellith in it, and is not maad a foryetful herere, but a doere of werk, this schal be blessid in his dede.
26 यदि कसैले आफैँलाई धार्मिक ठान्दछ, तर उसले आफ्नो जिब्रोलाई नियन्त्रण गर्दैन भने उसले आफ्नो हृदयलाई धोका दिन्छ र उसको धर्म व्यर्थको हुन्छ ।
And if ony man gessith hym silf to be religiouse, and refreyneth not his tunge, but disseyueth his herte, the religioun of him is veyn.
27 हाम्रा परमेश्वर र पिताको सामु पवित्र र निष्कलङ्क धर्म यही होः अनाथ र विधवाहरूको कष्टमा तिनीहरूलाई सहायता गर्नु, अनि आफैँलाई संसारबाट दोषरहित राख्नु ।
A clene religioun, and an vnwemmed anentis God and the fadir, is this, to visite fadirles and modirles children, and widewis in her tribulacioun, and to kepe hym silf vndefoulid fro this world.
