उत्पत्ति 46
1 इस्राएल आफूसँग भएका सबै थोक लिएर हिँडे र बेर्शेबा गए । त्यहाँ तिनले आफ्ना बुबा इसहाकका परमेश्वरको निम्ति बलिदान चढाए ।
So Israel left for Egypt with everything he had. When he arrived at Beersheba he offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.
2 राती दर्शनमा परमेश्वर इस्राएलसँग यसो भन्दै बोल्नुभयो “याकूब, याकूब ।” तिनले भने, “म यहीँ छु ।”
During the night God spoke to Israel in a vision. “Jacob! Jacob!” he called. “I'm here,” he replied.
3 उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “म परमेश्वर हुँ, तेरा बुबाका परमेश्वर । मिश्रमा जान नडरा, किनकि त्यहाँ म तँबाट एउटा ठुलो जाति बनाउनेछु ।
“I am God, the God of your father! Don't be afraid to go to Egypt, because I will turn you and your descendants into a great nation.
4 म तँसँग मिश्रमा जानेछु, र म तँलाई निश्चय नै फेरि फर्काइ ल्याउनेछु, अनि योसेफकै हातले तेरा आँखा छोपिदिनेछ ।”
I will go to Egypt with you, and I promise to bring you back again. And Joseph will personally close your eyes when you die.”
5 त्यसपछि याकूब बेर्शेबाबाट हिँडे । इस्राएलका छोराहरूले आफ्ना बुबा याकूब, आफ्ना बालबच्चा र आफ्ना परिवारहरूलाई फारोले तिनलाई ल्याउन पठाएका गाडाहरूमा चढाएर लगे ।
Then Jacob left Beersheba. His sons took him, their children, and their wives to Egypt using the wagons Pharaoh had sent.
6 तिनीहरूले आफ्ना गाईबस्तु र कनान देशमा जम्मा गरेका मालसामानहरूसँगै लगे । याकूब र तिनका जम्मै सन्तान मिश्रमा गए ।
They also took with them all their livestock and all the personal belongings they had accumulated in the country of Canaan. So Jacob and everyone in his extended family went to Egypt,
7 याकूबले आफ्ना छोराहरू, नातिहरू, छोरीहरू र नातिनीहरू, तिनका सबै सन्तानलाई आफूसँगै मिश्रमा लगे ।
including all his sons and grandsons, daughters and granddaughters.
8 मिश्रमा जाने इस्राएलका छोराहरू, अर्थात् याकूब र तिनका सन्तानहरूका नाउँ यी नै थिएः याकूबका जेठा छोरा रूबेन ।
The following is the genealogy of Israel and his sons who went to Egypt: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn.
9 रूबेनका छोराहरू: हानोक, पल्लु, हेस्रोन र कर्मी;
The sons of Reuben: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
10 शिमियोनका छोराहरू: यमूएल, यामीन, ओहद, याकीन, सोहोर र कनानी पत्नीतर्फका छोरा शौल;
The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul the son of a woman from Canaan.
11 लेवीका छोराहरू: गेर्शोन, कहात र मरारी ।
The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
12 यहूदाका छोराहरू: एर्, ओनान, शेलह, फारेस र जेरह (तर एर् र ओनानचाहिँ कनान देशमै मरे) । फारेसका छोराहरू हेस्रोन र हामूल थिए ।
The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah. However, Er and Onan died in Canaan. The sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul.
13 इस्साखारका छोराहरू तोला, पुवा, याशूब र शिम्रोन थिए ।
The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puvah, Job, and Shimron.
14 जबूलूनका छोराहरू सेरेद, एलोन र यहलेल थिए ।
The sons of Zebulun: Sered, Elon, and Jahleel.
15 यिनीहरूचाहिँ याकूबबाट लेआले पद्दन-आराममा जन्माएका छोराहरू, तिनकी छोरी दीनासमेत हुन् । लेआबाट याकूबका छोराछोरी जम्मा तेत्तिस जना थिए ।
These are the sons Leah had for Jacob in Paddan-aram, as well as his daughter Dinah. The total number of sons and daughters and grandchildren was thirty-three.
16 गादका छोराहरू सेफोन, हाग्यी, शूनी, यसबोन, एरी, अरोदी र अरेली थिए ।
The sons of Gad: Ziphion, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi, and Areli.
17 आशेरका छोराहरू यिम्ना, यिश्वा, यिश्वी र बरीआ थिए । तिनीहरूकी बहिनी सेरह थिइन् । बरीआका छोराहरू हेबेर र मल्कीएल थिए ।
The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and their sister Serah. The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.
18 लाबानले आफ्नी छोरी लेआलाई दिएकी कमारी जिल्पापट्टिका याकूबका छोराछोरी यी नै थिए । तिनले याकूबको निम्ति जम्मा सोह्र जना छोरा जन्माइन् ।
These are the sons of Jacob Zilpah had, the servant given by Laban to his daughter Leah, a total of sixteen children and grandchildren.
19 याकूबकी पत्नी राहेलका छोराहरू योसेफ र बेन्यामीन थिए ।
The sons of Jacob's wife Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin.
20 ओनका पुजारी पोतीपेराकी छोरी आसनततर्फबाट मिश्रमा जन्मेका योसेफका छोराहरू मनश्शे र एफ्राइम थिए ।
The sons Joseph had in the land of Egypt by Asenath, daughter of Potiphera, priest of On: Manasseh and Ephraim.
21 बेन्यामीनका छोराहरू बेला, बेकेर, अश्बेल, गेरा, नामान, एही, रोश, मुप्पीम, हुप्पीम र आर्द थिए ।
The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim, and Ard.
22 राहेलबाट जन्मेका याकूबका छोराहरू यी नै थिए । यिनीहरू जम्मा चौध जना थिए ।
These are the sons that Rachel had for Jacob, a total of fourteen children and grandchildren.
23 दानका छोरा हुशीम थिए ।
The son of Dan: Hushim.
24 नप्तालीका छोराहरू यहसेल, गुनी, येसेर, र शिल्लेम थिए ।
The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem.
25 लाबानले आफ्नी छोरी राहेललाई दिएको कमारी बिल्हाले याकूबबाट जन्माएका सात जना छोरा यी नै थिए ।
These are the sons of Jacob that Bilhah had, the servant given by Laban to his daughter Rachel, a total of seven children and grandchildren.
26 याकूबका साथमा मिश्रमा गएका तिनका बुहारीहरूबाहेक आफ्ना सन्तान जम्मा छयसट्ठी जना थिए ।
All those who were part of Jacob's family who came to Egypt (his blood relatives, apart from wives of Jacob's sons) totaled sixty-six.
27 मिश्रमा जन्मेका योसेफका दुई जना छोरासमेत गरेर मिश्रमा जाने याकूबका परिवारका सदस्यहरू जम्मा सत्तरी जना थिए ।
Including the two sons Joseph had in Egypt, the total number of Jacob's family who were in Egypt was seventy.
28 गोशेनमा तिनलाई भेट्न आइदेऊन् भनी याकूबले यहूदालाई योसेफकहाँ खबर दिन आफ्नो अगि पठाए ।
Jacob sent Judah on ahead to meet Joseph and find out the way to Goshen. When they arrived in Goshen,
29 योसेफले आफ्नो रथ तयार गर्न लगाए र गोशेनसम्म आफ्ना बुबा इस्राएललाई भेट गर्न आए । योसेफले आफ्ना बुबालाई देखे, र बुबालाई अँगालो हालेर धेरै बेरसम्म रोए ।
Joseph ordered his chariot made ready and went to meet his father Israel there. As soon as he arrived, he hugged his father and wept for a long time.
30 इस्राएलले योसेफलाई भने, “अब मलाई मर्न देओ, किनकि मैले तेरो मुख देखेँ र तँ जीवितै रहेछस् ।”
“Now I can die in peace because I have seen your face again and know you're still alive,” Israel told Joseph.
31 योसेफले आफ्ना दाजुभाइहरू र आफ्ना बुबाका परिवारहरूलाई भने, “अब म गएर फारोलाई यसो भनेर खबर दिनेछु, ‘कनान देशका मेरा दाजुभाइहरू र मेरा बुबाका घरानाहरू मकहाँ आएका छन् ।
Joseph told his brothers and his father's household, “I'm going to go and report to Pharaoh and tell him, ‘My brothers and my father's household have arrived from the country of Canaan to join me.
32 उनीहरू सबै गाईबस्तु पाल्ने भएकाले गोठाला हुन् । उनीहरूले आफ्ना सबै बगाल, बथान, र उनीहरूसँग भएका सबै थोक लिएर आएका छन् ।’
They are shepherds and keep livestock. They have brought with them their flocks and herds and all their possessions.’
33 जब फारोले तपाईंहरूलाई बोलाएर ‘तिमीहरूका कामधन्दा के हो?’ भनी सोध्छन्,
When Pharaoh calls for you and asks you, ‘What work do you do?’
34 तब तपाईंहरूले यसो भन्नुपर्छ, ‘हजुरका दासहरू हामी बाबु-छोराहरू हाम्रा युवावस्थादेखि अहिलेसम्म गाईबस्तु पाल्दै आएका छौँ ।’ तपाईंहरूले यसो गर्नुभयो भने तपाईंहरूले गोशेनमा बसोबास गर्न पाउनुहुनेछ, किनभने हरेक गोठालोचाहिँ मिश्रीहरूको लागि घृणाको पात्र हो ।”
tell him, ‘Your servants have looked after livestock since we were children, both us and our fathers before us.’ That way you'll be able to live here in Goshen, because Egyptians look down on shepherds.”
