१ तिमोथी 3
1 यो भनाइ भरोसायोग्य छ, यदि कसैले बिशप हुने इच्छा गर्छ भने उसले असल कामको इच्छा गर्दछ ।
This is a faithful saying: If someone aspires to the office of an qashisha, he desires a good work.
2 तसर्थ, बिशपचाहिँ दोषरहित होस् । र एउटा पत्नीको पति, संयमी, समझदार, व्यवस्थित, अथिति सत्कार गर्ने, सिकाउन सक्ने,
The qashisha, therefore, must be beyond criticism, the husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, modest, hospitable, good at teaching;
3 मतवाला र रिसाहा होइन तर भद्र, नम्र, शान्तिप्रिय, रूपैयाँपैसाको लोभ नगर्ने ।
not a drunkard, not violent, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money;
4 तिनले आफ्नो घरबार राम्रोसँग व्यवस्थापन गर्नुपर्छ । र उसका छोराछोरीले तिनको आज्ञापालन पुरा आदरका साथ गर्नु पर्छ ।
one who rules his own house well, having children in subjection with all reverence;
5 तर यदि एउटा मानिसले आफ्नो घरलाई राम्रोसँग व्यवस्थापन गर्न जान्दैन भने उसले कसरी परमेश्वरको मण्डलीको वास्ता गर्न सक्दछ?
(but if someone does not know how to manage his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?)
6 तिनी नयाँ विश्वासी हुनुहुँदैन ताकि तिनी घमण्डी भएर शैतानझैँ दण्डमा नपरून् ।
not a new convert, lest being puffed up he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.
7 तिनी बाहिरको मानिसहरूको दृष्टिकोणमा पनि प्रतिष्ठित हुनुपर्दछ । ताकि तिनी शर्ममा र दुष्टको पासोमा नपरून् ।
Moreover he must have good testimony from those who are outside, to avoid falling into disgrace and the trap of the devil.
8 त्यसैगरी डिकनहरू पनि प्रतिष्ठित होऊन, दुई-जिब्रे, धेरै मद्य पिउने्, र लोभी नहून् ।
Meshamshana, in the same way, must be reverent, not double-tongued, not devoted to a lot of wine, not greedy for money;
9 तिनीहरूले प्रकट गरिइएको विश्वासको सत्यतालाई शुध्द विवकले कायम राख्नु पर्छ ।

10 पहिले स्विकृत भएपछि तिनिहरूले सेवामा गर्नुपर्छ किनभने तिनीहरू कलंकित हुनुहुँदैन ।
Let them also first be tested; then let them serve if they are blameless.
11 त्यसैगरी स्त्रीहरू पनि प्रतिष्ठित होऊन्, निन्दा नगर्ने, न्रम र सबै कुरामा विश्वासयोग्य हुनुपर्दछ ।
Their wives in the same way must be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.
12 डिकनहरू एउटा पत्नीको पति र आफ्नो छोराछोरीहरू र घरलाई राम्रोसँग व्यवस्थापान गर्ने हुनुपर्दछ ।
Let meshamshana be husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
13 किनभने तिनीहरू जसले असल सेवा गरेकाछन् तिनीहरूले आफ्नो निम्ति प्रतिष्ठा र ख्रीष्ट येशूमा भएको विश्वासद्वारा ठुलो भरोसा पाउँछन् ।
For those who have ministered well gain for themselves a good standing, and great boldness in the faith which is in Meshikha Yeshua.
14 म तिमीलाई यी कुराहरू लेख्छु र म तिमी कहाँ चाँडै आउने आशा गर्दछु ।
These things I write to you, hoping to come to you shortly;
15 तर यदि मैले ढिलो गरेँ भने परमेश्वरको घराना जुन जीवित परमेश्वरको मण्डली, सत्यताको खाँबो र आड हो, त्यो सही बाटोमा डोर्याइनु पर्छ तिमीले जान भन्ने हेतुले म तिमीलाई लेख्दैछु ।
but if I wait long, that you may know how people ought to behave themselves in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
16 र सँगै हामी, सहमत हुन्छौँ, “कि धार्मिकताको प्रकटित सत्याता महान छः उहाँ शरीरमा प्रकट हुनुभयो, पवित्र-आत्माद्वारा धर्मी ठहरिनुभयो, “स्वर्गदूतहरूबाट देखिनुभयो, जाति-जातिहरूको माझमा घोषणा गरिनु भयो, संसारमा विश्वास गरिनुभयो”, र “महिमामा माथि लगिनु भयो ।”
Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great: He was revealed in the flesh, justified by the Rukha, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.
