1 Kuwe, Nkosi, ngiyaphephela; kangingayangeki lanininini.
In you, LORD, I take refuge. Never let me be disappointed.
2 Ngikhulula ngokulunga kwakho, ungophule; beka indlebe yakho kimi, ungisindise.
Deliver me in your righteousness, and rescue me. Turn your ear to me, and save me.
3 Woba lidwala lokuhlala kimi, ngiye kulo njalonjalo; ulayile ukungisindisa, ngoba ulidwala lami lenqaba yami.
Be to me a rock of refuge to which I may always go. Give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.
4 Nkulunkulu wami, ngophula esandleni somubi lesandleni songalunganga lolesihluku.
Rescue me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
5 Ngoba wena, ulithemba lami Nkosi, Jehova, ithemba lami kwasebutsheni bami.
For you are my hope, LORD; my confidence from my youth.
6 Ngeyame kuwe kwasesizalweni; nguwe owangikhupha esiswini sikamama; indumiso yami ingawe njalonjalo.
I have relied on you from the womb. From my mother's womb you are my strength. I will always praise you.
7 Benginjengesimangaliso kwabanengi; kodwa wena uyisiphephelo sami esiqinileyo.
I am a marvel to many, but you are my strong refuge.
8 Umlomo wami kawugcwaliswe ngendumiso yakho, usuku lonke ngodumo lwakho.
My mouth shall be filled with your praise, with your honor all the day.
9 Ungangilahli esikhathini sokuluphala, ungangitshiyi ekupheleni kwamandla ami.
Do not reject me in my old age. Do not forsake me when my strength fails.
10 Ngoba izitha zami zikhuluma zimelene lami, labacathamela umphefumulo wami bayacebisana,
For my enemies talk about me. Those who watch for my soul conspire together,
11 besithi: UNkulunkulu umtshiyile; zingelani, limbambe, ngoba kakho okhululayo.
saying, "God has forsaken him. Pursue and take him, for no one will rescue him."
12 Nkulunkulu, ungabi khatshana lami; Nkulunkulu wami, phangisela usizo lwami.
God, do not be far from me. My God, hurry to help me.
13 Kabayangeke baphele abayizitha zomphefumulo wami, kabasitshekelwe yikuyangeka lehlazo labo abadinga ukoniwa kwami.
Let my accusers be put to shame and consumed. Let them be covered with disgrace and scorn who want to harm me.
14 Kodwa mina ngizathemba njalonjalo, ngengeze ekudunyisweni kwakho konke.
But I will always hope, and will add to all of your praise.
15 Umlomo wami uzalandisa ukulunga kwakho, usuku lonke usindiso lwakho, ngoba kangiwazi amanani akho.
My mouth will tell about your righteousness, and of your salvation all day, though I do not know its full measure.
16 Ngizahamba emandleni eNkosi uJehova, ngiqambe ukulunga kwakho, okwakho kuphela.
I will come with the mighty acts of the Lord GOD. I will make mention of your righteousness, even of yours alone.
17 Nkulunkulu, ungifundisile kusukela ebutsheni bami, njalo kuze kube khathesi ngitshumayele izimangaliso zakho.
God, you have taught me from my youth. Until now, I have declared your wondrous works.
18 Lalapho sengiluphele sengiyimpunga, Nkulunkulu, ungangitshiyi, ngize ngitshumayele ingalo yakho kuso isizukulwana, amandla akho kuye wonke ozakuza.
Yes, even when I am old and gray-haired, God, do not forsake me, until I have declared your strength to the next generation, your might to everyone who is to come.
19 Lokulunga kwakho, Nkulunkulu, kufika ezingqongeni, owenze izinto ezinkulu; Nkulunkulu, ngubani onjengawe?
Your righteousness also, God, reaches to the heavens; you have done great things. God, who is like you?
20 Ongenze ngabona inhlupheko ezinengi lezibuhlungu, uzangivuselela futhi, ungikhuphule futhi ezinzikini zomhlaba.
You, who have shown us many and bitter troubles, you will let me live. You will bring us up again from the depths of the earth.
21 Uzakwandisa ubukhulu bami, ungiduduze inhlangothi zonke.
Increase my honor, and comfort me again.
22 Lami ngizakudumisa ngogubhu lwezintambo, iqiniso lakho, Nkulunkulu wami; ngizahlabelela izibongo kuwe ngechacho, wena ongcwele kaIsrayeli.
I will also praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, my God. I sing praises to you with the lyre, Holy One of Israel.
23 Indebe zami zizamemeza ngentokozo lapho ngihlabelela kuwe, lomphefumulo wami owuhlengileyo.
My lips shall shout for joy. My soul, which you have redeemed, sings praises to you.
24 Futhi ulimi lwami luzakhuluma ngokulunga kwakho usuku lonke, ngoba bayangekile, ngoba badumazeka, abadinga ukoniwa kwami.
My tongue will also talk about your righteousness all day long, for they are disappointed, and they are confounded, who want to harm me.
