1 INkosi yasikhuluma kuMozisi isithi:
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
2 Laya abantwana bakoIsrayeli ukuthi balethe kuwe amafutha emihlwathi acengekileyo agigelwe ukukhanyisa ukuze izibane zivuthe njalonjalo.
Command the sons of Israel, that they bring to thee pure beaten olive oil for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually.
3 Ngaphandle kweveyili lobufakazi, ethenteni lenhlangano, uAroni uzazilungisa phambi kweNkosi njalonjalo, kusukela kusihlwa kuze kube sekuseni; kuzakuba yisimiso esilaphakade ezizukulwaneni zenu.
Aaron shall keep it outside the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, in order from evening to morning before Jehovah continually. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.
4 Uzalungisa izibane eluthini lwesibane olucwengekileyo phambi kweNkosi njalonjalo.
He shall keep the lamps upon the pure lampstand in order before Jehovah continually.
5 Uzathatha-ke impuphu ecolekileyo, ubhake ngayo amaqebelengwana alitshumi lambili; ingxenye ezimbili etshumini kuzakuba liqebelengwana elilodwa.
And thou shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes of it. Two tenth parts of an ephah shall be in one cake.
6 Uwabeke emizileni emibili, ayisithupha emzileni, phezu kwetafula elicwengekileyo phambi kweNkosi;
And thou shall set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before Jehovah.
7 futhi ubeke kulowo lalowo umzila inhlaka ecengekileyo, ibe yisinkwa sesikhumbuzo, umnikelo owenzelwe iNkosi ngomlilo.
And thou shall put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire to Jehovah.
8 Ngalo lonke usuku lwesabatha uzakulungisa phambi kweNkosi njalonjalo, kuvela ebantwaneni bakoIsrayeli, yisivumelwano esilaphakade.
Every sabbath day he shall set it in order before Jehovah continually. It is on the behalf of the sons of Israel, an everlasting covenant.
9 Njalo kuzakuba ngokukaAroni lokwamadodana akhe, besebekudlela endaweni engcwele; ngoba kuyingcwelengcwele kuye, okuvela eminikelweni yeNkosi eyenziwe ngomlilo, isimiso esilaphakade.
And it shall be for Aaron and his sons. And they shall eat it in a holy place, for it is most holy to him of the offerings of Jehovah made by fire by a perpetual statute.
10 Kwasekuphuma indodana yowesifazana umIsrayelikazi, owayeyindodana yendoda engumGibhithe, phakathi kwabantwana bakoIsrayeli. Lalindodana yomIsrayelikazi lendoda engumIsrayeli balwa enkambeni.
And the son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the sons of Israel. And the son of the Israelite woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp,
11 Indodana yowesifazana umIsrayelikazi yasihlambaza iBizo, yathuka. Basebemletha kuMozisi. Lebizo likanina lalinguShelomithi, indodakazi kaDibiri, owesizwe sakoDani.
and the son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed. And they brought him to Moses. And his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.
12 Basebemfaka esitokosini, ukuze bachasiselwe ngokomlomo weNkosi.
And they put him in ward, that it might be declared to them at the mouth of Jehovah.
13 INkosi yasikhuluma kuMozisi yathi:
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
14 Khiphela ngaphandle kwenkamba umthuki; labo bonke abamuzwayo kababeke izandla zabo ekhanda lakhe, lenhlangano yonke imkhande ngamatshe.
Bring forth him who has cursed outside the camp, and let all who heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.
15 Khuluma-ke ebantwaneni bakoIsrayeli uthi: Ngulowo lalowo othuka uNkulunkulu wakhe uzathwala isono sakhe.
And thou shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin.
16 Lohlambaza ibizo leNkosi uzabulawa lokubulawa; inhlangano yonke izamkhanda lokumkhanda ngamatshe. Njengowokuzalwa elizweni uzakuba njalo owemzini, nxa ehlambaza iBizo uzabulawa.
And he who blasphemes the name of Jehovah, he shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly stone him. As well the sojourner, as the home-born, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.
17 Lomuntu nxa etshaya loba yiwuphi umphefumulo womuntu uzabulawa lokubulawa.
And he who smites any man mortally shall surely be put to death.
18 Lotshaya abulale inyamazana uzayihlawula, impilo ngempilo.
And he who smites a beast mortally shall make it good, life for life.
19 Umuntu nxa esipha-ke umakhelwane wakhe isici, njengokwenza kwakhe kuzakwenziwa njalo kuye,
And if a man causes a blemish in his neighbor, as he has done, so shall it be done to him:
20 ukwephuka ngokwephuka, ilihlo ngelihlo, izinyo ngezinyo; njengalokho ephe umuntu isici, kuzakwenziwa njalo kuye.
injury for injury, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, as he has caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be rendered to him.
21 Lotshaya inyamazana ife uzayihlawula; lotshaya umuntu afe uzabulawa.
And he who kills a beast shall make it good. And he who kills a man shall be put to death.
22 Lizakuba lokwahlulela okukodwa, njengowezizwe uzakuba njalo owokuzalwa elizweni. Ngoba ngiyiNkosi uNkulunkulu wenu.
Ye shall have one manner of law, as for the sojourner, as for the home-born, for I am Jehovah your God.
23 UMozisi wakhuluma-ke ebantwaneni bakoIsrayeli, ukuthi bamkhuphele ngaphandle kwenkamba umthuki, bamkhande ngamatshe. Abantwana bakoIsrayeli basebesenza njengokulaya kweNkosi kuMozisi.
And Moses spoke to the sons of Israel, and they brought forth him who had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. And the sons of Israel did as Jehovah commanded Moses.
