< Yowana 3 >
1 Bhashinkupagwa bhakulungwa bhamo bha ashikalongolele bha lukumbi lwa Bhayaudi, bha munkumbi gwa shikundi sha dini ja Bhayaudi shishemwa Mapalishayo, lina lyabho a Nikodemo.
There was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
2 Lyubha limo shilo bhashinkwaajendela a Yeshu, gubhaalugulile, “Mmaajiganya, tummanyi kuti mmwe mmaajiganya ntumilwe na a Nnungu, pabha jwakwa mundu akombola kutenda yene ilangulo inkutendai, a Nnungu bhakabhe pamo naka jwenejo.”
This man came to Jesus by night, and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher, for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
3 A Yeshu gubhaajangwile, “Kweli ngunakummalanjila, mundu akabhelekwe gwabhili, akagubhona Upalume gwa a Nnungu.”
Jesus answered and told him, “Most assuredly, I tell you, unless one is born again, that person can’t see the kingdom of God.”
4 A Nikodemo gubhaabhushiye, “Mundu jwa nkulungwa pa bhelekwa gwabhili shanabhuli? Shakombole bhuli kujinjila nnipitiu lya akwabhe nibhelekwa gwabhili!”
Nicodemus asked Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He can’t go back into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?”
5 A Yeshu gubhaajangwile, “Kweli ngunakummalanjila, mundu akabhelekwe kwa mashi na kwa Mbumu jwa a Nnungu, akakombola kujinjila mu Upalume gwa a Nnungu.
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I tell you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, that one can’t enter the Kingdom of God.
6 Shibhelekwe kwa shiilu ni shiilu na shibhelekwe kwa Mbumu ni mbumu.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Nnaimonje pabha njibheleketa kuti, nnapinjikwanga mmelekwanje gwabhili.
Don’t marvel that I told you, ‘You must be born again.’
8 Mbungo jinapuga niloya kujipinga, mpugo gwakwe gunapilikanika, ikabheje kukamanyika kuukoposhela wala kuukwenda. Nneyo peyo puili kuka mundu abhelekwa kwa Mbumu jwa a Nnungu.”
The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but can’t tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
9 A Nikodemo gubhaabhushiye, “Genega shigakomboleshe shanabhuli?”
Nicodemus asked Him, “How can these things be?”
10 A Yeshu gubhaajangwile, “Mmwe mmaajiganya bha pa Ishilaeli, bhuli, nnagamanye genega?
“Are you Israel’s teacher,” asked Jesus, “and yet you don’t understand these things?
11 Kweli ngunakummalanjila, uwe tunabheleketa itukwimanya nikong'ondela ituibhweni, ikabheje mmanganya nkaakundanga ntenga gwetu.
Most assuredly, I tell you, we speak what we know and testify what we have seen, and you don’t receive our witness.
12 Monaga nkaakulupalipanga indu ya pa shilambolyo inimmalanjilenje, shinkulupalilanje bhuli nimmalanjilangaga indu ya kunnungu?
If I have told you earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
13 Jwakwa jojowe apite kunnungu, ikabhe nne Mwana juka Mundu ngopweshe kunnungu.
No one has ever gone up into Heaven except the one who came from Heaven — the Son of Man.
14 “Malinga a Musha shibhannjinwile kunani nnuishi lijoka jwa alaywa na shabha kuanga kula, nneyo peyo inapinjikwa nne Mwana juka Mundu nyinulwe kunani,
Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
15 nkupinga jojowe shakulupalile akole gumi gwa pitipiti.” (aiōnios )
that everyone who believes in Him should not die, but have eternal life. (aiōnios )
16 Pabha a Nnungu bhashinkwaapinganga bhandu pa shilambolyo, mpaka gubhampeleshe mwanagwabho jwa jika, nkupinga jojowe shankulupalile anaobhe, ikabhe akole gumi gwa pitipiti. (aiōnios )
For God so sincerely loved the world that He gave His only born Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (aiōnios )
17 Pabha a Nnungu bhangampeleka mwanagwabho kushilambolyo nkupinga aukumule bhandu, ikabhe kwabhatapulanje.
For God didn’t send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
18 “Akunkulupalila Mwana jwa a Nnungu akaukumulwa, ikabheje akakunkulupalila jwenejo aukumwilwe, pabha jwangankulupalila Mwana jwa jika jwa a Nnungu.
Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever doesn’t believe is condemned already because that person has not believed in the name of God’s only Son.
19 Bhashiukumulwanga pabha, shilangaya shiishe pa shilambolyo, ikabheje bhandunji gubhapinjilenje lubhindu kupunda shilangaya, kwa ligongo lya itendi yabhonji yangali ya mmbone.
This is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, but people sincerely loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 Mundu jojowe atenda yambi shinakunshima shilangaya, na akabhandishila ku shilangaya, pabha akaapinga itendi yakwe ya yambi imanyishe.
Everyone who practices evil hates the light, and doesn’t come to the light, for fear that their deeds will be exposed.
21 Ikabheje atenda itendi ya mmbone anakwiya ku shilangaya, nkupinga imanyishe kuti itendi yakwe ni yakomboywa na a Nnungu.”
Whoever practices the truth comes to the light to show clearly that their deeds have been done with God.”
22 Gakapiteje genego, a Yeshu na bhaajiganywa bhabho gubhapitengenenje mmbali ja ku Yudea, gubhatemi kweneko bhalibhatisha bhandu.
After this, Jesus and His disciples went out into the countryside of Judea, where He remained with them, and baptized.
23 Na bhalabho a Yowana kubhaaliji ku Ainoni, tome na ku Shalemu bhalibhatisha bhandu, pabha kweneko gashinkupagwa mashi gamagwinji. Bhandu gubhaajendelenje, na bhalabho gubhaabhatishenje.
John was also baptizing at Aenon, near Salim, because there was plenty of water there, and people kept coming to be baptized.
24 Gene mobhago a Yowana pubhaliji bhakanabhe kamulwa nitabhwa.
John had not yet been thrown into prison.
25 Jishinkukoposhela mitau ja bhaajiganywa bha a Yowana na bhayaudi bhamo ga nkubho gwa Shiyaudi gwa tawasha.
There were some questions between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purification.
26 Bhai bhaajiganywa bhala gubhaajendelenje a Yowana nikwaalugulila, “Mmaajiganya, mundu aaliji na mmwe kung'ambu lushi lwa Yolodani jumwakong'ondele ga ngani jakwe jula, na jwalakwe nnaino anabhatisha na bhandu bhabhagwinji bhanakunnjendelanga.”
They came to John and told him, “Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, that you have testified about — look, He is baptizing, and everyone is flocking to Him!”
27 A Yowana gubhajangwile, “Mundu nngakola shoshowe akapegwe na a Nnungu kukoposhela kunnungu.
John replied, “A man can receive nothing, unless it’s given to him from Heaven.
28 Numbe mwaashayene nnikong'ondelanga kuti nantashiyenje kuti, ‘Nne nngabha a Kilishitu Bhagombola, ikabhe njitumwa nkupinga naalongolele!’
You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I’m not the Christ, but I have been sent ahead of Him.’
29 Jwenejo malinga nkulomba, na nne malinga mmbwiga mwine nkulomba, ajima nkulindilila nkulomba aishe, anakwiinonyela kwa kaje paapilikana lilobhe lika nkulomba alikwiiya. Bhai, kwa nneyo kwiinonyela kwangu kutimilile kwa pilikana genego.
The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and rejoices when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. This joy of mine is now made complete.
30 Inapinjikwa bhenebho bhapunde kukuywa, nne mujile nnyuma.”
He must increase, but I must decrease.
“He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the Earth belongs to the Earth and speaks of the Earth. He who comes from Heaven is above all.
32 Jwenejo yataya yaibhweni na kwipilikana ila, ikabheje jwakwa mundu akunda ntenga gwakwe.
He testifies about what He has seen and heard, but no one accepts His testimony.
33 Ikabheje mundu jo jowe akunda ntenga guka jwenejo, anakong'ondela kuti a Nnungu ni bhakweli.
The man who has accepted His testimony has certified that God is truthful.
34 Jwene atumilwe na a Nnungu anabheleketa malobhe ga a Nnungu, pabha a Nnungu bhanakumpa mundu Mbumu jwabho gwangali shipimilo.
The one that God has sent speaks God’s words, for God gives the Spirit without measure.
35 A Nnungu bhanakumpinga Mwana na bhashikunkamuya yowe mmakono gakwe.
The Father sincerely loves the Son, and has given everything into His hand.
36 Akunkulupalila mwana akwete gumi gwa pitipiti, akana kunkulupalila mwana, akakola gumi gwa pitipiti, ikabhe nnjimwa ja a Nnungu jintamile.” (aiōnios )
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son won’t see life, for God’s wrath remains on that person.” (aiōnios )
