स्तोत्रसंहिता 73

1 १ आसाफाचे स्तोत्र खात्रीने देव इस्राएलास चांगला आहे, जे अंतःकरणाने शुद्ध आहेत.

Surely God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart.

2 २ पण माझ्यासाठी जसे माझे पाय बहुतेक निसटणार होते; माझे पाय बहुतेक माझ्या खालून निसटणार होते.

But as for me, my feet were almost gone. My steps had well nigh slipped.

3 ३ कारण जेव्हा मी दुष्टांचा भरभराट पाहिला तेव्हा मी गर्विष्ठांचा मत्सर केला.

For I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

4 ४ कारण त्यांच्या मृत्यूपर्यंत त्यांना वेदना होत नाही, पण ते बलवान आणि चांगले पुष्ट असतात.

For there are no pangs in their death, but their strength is firm.

5 ५ दुसऱ्या मनुष्याच्या भारापासून मुक्त असतात; ते दुसऱ्या मनुष्यासारखे जुलूमात नसतात.

They are not in trouble as other men, nor are they plagued like other men.

6 ६ अभिमानाने ते त्यांच्या गळ्याभोवती असलेल्या हाराप्रमाणे आपल्याला सुशोभित करतात; झग्यासारखा ते हिंसाचाराचे वस्र घालतात.

Therefore pride is as a chain around their neck. Violence covers them as a garment.

7 ७ अंधत्वातून असे पाप बाहेर येते; वाईट विचार त्यांच्या अंतःकरणातून निघतात.

Their eyes stand out with fatness. They have more than heart could wish.

8 ८ ते माझी चेष्टा करून वाईट गोष्टी बोलतात; ते गर्वाने हिंसाचाराची धमकी देतात.

They scoff, and in wickedness utter oppression. They speak loftily.

9 ९ ते आकाशाविरूद्ध बोलतात, आणि त्यांची जीभ पृथ्वीतून भटकते.

They have set their mouth in the heavens, and their tongue walks through the earth.

10 १० म्हणून देवाचे लोक त्यांच्याकडे वळतात आणि त्यांच्या वचनातले पाणी भरपूर पितात.

Therefore his people return here, and waters of a full cup are drained by them.

11 ११ ते म्हणतात, “देवाला हे कसे माहित होणार? काय चालले आहे ते देवाला कसे कळते?”

And they say, How does God know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?

12 १२ पाहा हे लक्षात घ्या, हे लोक दुष्ट आहेत; ते नेहमी चिंतामुक्त असून धनवान झाले आहेत.

Behold, these are the wicked, and those who always prosper. They have possessed wealth.

13 १३ खचित मी आपले हृदय जपले, आणि आपले हात निरागसतेत धुतले हे व्यर्थ आहे.

Surely in vain I have cleansed my heart, and washed my hands in innocence,

14 १४ कारण दिवसभर मी पीडला जातो आणि प्रत्येक सकाळी शिक्षा होते.

for all the day long I have been plagued, and chastened every morning.

15 १५ जर मी म्हणालो असतो की, मी या गोष्टी बोलेन, तर मी या पिढीच्या तुझ्या मुलांचा विश्वासघात केला असता.

If I had said, I will speak thus, behold, I would have dealt treacherously with the generation of thy sons.

16 १६ तरी या गोष्टी मी समजण्याचा प्रयत्न केला, पण त्या माझ्यासाठी खूप कठीण होत्या.

When I thought how I might understand this, it was too painful for me,

17 १७ मी देवाच्या पवित्रस्थानात गेलो, आणि नंतर त्यांच्या भवितव्याचा शेवट मला समजून आला.

until I went into the sanctuary of God, and considered their latter end.

18 १८ खचित तू त्यांना निसरड्या जागी ठेवतो; त्यांना तू खाली नाशात पाडतोस.

Surely thou set them in slippery places. Thou cast them down to destruction.

19 १९ कसे अचानक ते उध्वस्त झाले. आणि भयानक दहशतीत ते संपूर्ण नष्ट झाले.

How they have become a desolation in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors.

20 २० जागा झालेल्या मनुष्यास जसे स्वप्न निरर्थक वाटते; तसे हे प्रभू, जेव्हा तू जागा होशील, तेव्हा त्यांचे ते स्वप्न तुच्छ मानशील.

As a dream from awakening, O Lord, when thou waken, thou will despise their form.

21 २१ कारण माझे हृदय दुःखीत झाले होते, आणि मी खोलवर घायाळ झालो.

For my soul was grieved, and I was pricked in my heart.

22 २२ मी अज्ञानी होतो आणि सूक्ष्मदृष्टीची उणीव होती; मी तुझ्यापुढे मूर्ख प्राण्यासारखा होतो.

So I was brutish, and ignorant. I was a beast before thee.

23 २३ तरी मी तुझ्याबरोबर नेहमी आहे; तू माझा उजवा हात धरला आहे.

Nevertheless I am continually with thee. Thou have held my right hand.

24 २४ तू आपल्या उपदेशाने मला मार्ग दाखवशील आणि त्यानंतर तू मला गौरवात स्वीकारशील.

Thou will guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

25 २५ स्वर्गात तुझ्याशिवाय मला कोण आहे? पृथ्वीवर मला तुझ्याशिवाय कोणी प्रिय नाही?

Whom have I in heaven? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides thee.

26 २६ माझा देह आणि माझे हृदय दुर्बल होत आहेत, पण देव सर्वकाळ माझ्या हृदयाचे सामर्थ्य आहे.

My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

27 २७ जे तुझ्यापासून दूर आहेत त्यांचा नाश होईल; जे तुझ्याशी अविश्वासू आहेत त्या सर्वांचा तू नाश करशील.

For, lo, those who are far from thee shall perish. Thou have destroyed all those who go a whoring from thee.

28 २८ पण माझ्याविषयी म्हटले, तर देवाजवळ जाणे यामध्येच माझे कल्याण आहे. मी प्रभू परमेश्वरास आपले आश्रयस्थान केले आहे. मी तुझी सर्व कृत्ये जाहीर करीन.

But it is good for me to draw near to God. I have made the lord Jehovah my refuge, that I may tell of all thy works.
