यिर्मया 49
1 १ अम्मोनी लोकांविषयी परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “इस्राएली लोकांस मुले नाहीत का? इस्राएलात कोणीही वारीस नाही काय? तर मिलकोमने गाद ताब्यात का घेतो आणि त्याचे लोक त्याच्या नगरात का राहतात?”
Against the children of Ammon. Thus saith the Lord: Hath Israel no sons? or hath he no heir? Why then hath Melchom inherited Gad: and his people dwelt in his cities?
2 २ यास्तव परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “पाहा, असे दिवस येत आहेत की, अम्मोनाच्या लोकांस राब्बाविरूद्ध जेव्हा मी लढाईसाठी संकेताचा आवाज ऐकावयास लावीन, तेव्हा ते ओसाडीचा ढीग होईल आणि त्यांच्या कन्या अग्नीने जाळल्या जातील. कारण जे कोणी त्याच्या ताब्यात होते त्याचा ताबा इस्राएल घेईल.” असे परमेश्वर म्हणतो.
Therefore behold the days come, saith the Lord, and I will cause the noise of war to be heard in Rabbath of the children of Ammon, and it shall be destroyed into a heap, and her daughters shall be burnt with fire, and Israel shall possess them that have possessed him, saith the Lord.
3 ३ हे हेशबोना, विलापात आक्रोश कर, कारण आय याचा नाश झाला आहे! राब्बातील कन्यांनो, मोठ्याने ओरडा! तागाची वस्त्रे घाला, आकांत करा आणि तुम्ही व्यर्थ इकडे तिकडे धावाल कारण मिलकोम राजा आपले याजक व अधिकाऱ्याबरोबर एकत्रित बंदिवान होऊन जाईल.
Howl, O Hesebon, for Hai is wasted. Cry, ye daughters of Rabbath, gird yourselves with haircloth: mourn and go about by the hedges: for Melchom shall be carried into captivity, his priests, and his princes together.
4 ४ तू आपल्या सामर्थ्याबद्दल का गर्व करते? हे अविश्वासू कन्ये, तुझे सामर्थ्य दूर वाहून जाईल, तू आपल्या संपत्तीवर भरवसा ठेवते. तू म्हणते, माझ्याविरूद्ध कोण येईल?
Why gloriest thou in the valleys? thy valley hath flowed away, O delicate daughter, that hast trusted in thy treasures, and hast said: Who shall come to me?
5 ५ सेनाधीश परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “पाहा, मी तुझ्यावर दहशत आणीन. ही दहशत जे कोणी तुझ्या सभोवताली आहेत त्यांच्या सर्वांपासून येईल. तुमच्यातला प्रत्येकजण त्यांच्यापुढे विखरला जाईल. तेथे पळून जाणाऱ्यांना एकत्र जमवायला कोणी असणार नाही.”
Behold I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord God of hosts, from all that are round about thee: and you shall be scattered every one out of one another’s sight, neither shall there be any to gather together them that flee.
And afterwards I will cause the captives of the children of Ammon to return, saith the Lord.
7 ७ अदोमाविषयी, सेनाधीश परमेश्वर हे म्हणतो, “तेमानात आता काही ज्ञान नाही काय? ज्या कोणाला गोष्टी समजतात त्यांचे चांगले सल्ले अदृश्य झाले आहेत काय? त्यांचे ज्ञान दूर गेले आहे का?
Against Edom. Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Is wisdom no more in Theman? counsel is perished from her children: their wisdom is become unprofitable.
8 ८ ददानातल्या रहिवाश्यांनो, पळा! माघारी फिरा! जमिनीतल्या विवरात रहा. कारण मी त्यास शिक्षा करणार आहे त्या समयी मी एसावाची अरिष्टे त्याच्यावर आणीन.
Flee and turn your backs, go down into the deep hole, ye inhabitants of Dedan: for I have brought the destruction of Esau upon him, the time of his visitation.
9 ९ जर द्राक्षे काढणारे तुझ्याकडे आले, तर ते थोडे मागे ठेवणार नाहीत का? जर चोर रात्रीत आला, तर तो त्यास पाहिजे तितके चोरणार नाही का?
If grapegatherers had come to thee, would they not have left a bunch? if thieves in the night, they would have taken what was enough for them.
10 १० पण एसावाचे कपडे काढून त्यास उघडे केले आहे. मी त्याची लपण्याची ठिकाणे उघड केली आहेत. म्हणून त्याच्याने आपल्याला लपवता येत नाही. त्याची मुले, भाऊ व त्याचे शेजारी नष्ट झाले आहेत आणि तो गेला आहे.
But I have made Esau bare, I have revealed his secrets, and he cannot be hid: his seed is laid waste, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he shall not be.
11 ११ तुझे अनाथ मागे ठेव. मी त्यास जिवंत ठेवण्याची काळजी घेईल आणि तुझ्या विधवा माझ्यावर भरवसा ठेवू शकतील.”
Leave thy fatherless children: I will make them live: and thy widows shall hope in me.
12 १२ कारण परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “पाहा, ज्यांची योग्यता नाही त्यांना खचित काही पेला प्यावा लागेल. तर तू स्वतःशी असा विचार करतो की तू शिक्षेशिवाय राहशील? तुला शिक्षा झाल्याशिवाय राहणार नाही, कारण तुला तो खचित प्यावा लागेल.”
For thus saith the Lord: Behold they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup, shall certainly drink: and shalt thou come off as innocent? thou shalt not come off as innocent, but drinking thou shalt drink.
13 १३ परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “कारण मी आपलीच शपथ वाहिली आहे की, बस्रा दहशत, निंदा, उध्वस्त, आणि शापासाठीचा विषय होईल. ते शहर पडझड झालेल्या दगडांची रास होईल. त्यांची सर्व नगरे कायमची उध्वस्त होतील.”
For I have sworn by myself, saith the Lord, that Bosra shall become a desolation, and a reproach, and a desert, and a curse: and all her cities shall be everlasting wastes.
14 १४ मी परमेश्वराकडून वर्तमान ऐकले आहे की, राष्ट्रांकडे दूत पाठविला आहे, “एकत्र व्हा आणि हल्ला करा. लढायला सज्ज व्हा.”
I have heard a rumour from the Lord, and an ambassador is sent to the nations: Gather yourselves together, and come against her, and let us rise up to battle.
For behold I have made thee a little one among the nations, despicable among men.
16 १६ जी तू खडकाच्या कपाऱ्यांमध्ये राहतेस व डोंगरांचा माथा धरून राहतेस त्या तुझ्या भयंकरपणाने व तुझ्या हृदयाच्या गर्वाने तुला फसविले आहे. जरी तू गरुडाप्रमाणे उंच घरटे बांधलेस तरी तेथून मी तुला खाली आणीन. असे परमेश्वराचे म्हणणे आहे.
Thy arrogancy hath deceived thee, and the pride of thy heart: O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, and endeavourest to lay hold on the height of the hill: but though thou shouldst make thy nest as high as an eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the Lord.
17 १७ तेथून जाणाऱ्या प्रत्येकाला अदोम दहशत होईल. तशा प्रत्येक व्यक्ती थरथरेल आणि त्याच्या सर्व अरिष्टाविषयी फूत्कार टाकेल.
And Edom shall be desolate: every one that shall pass by it, shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all its plagues.
18 १८ परमेश्वर म्हणतो, सदोम व गमोरा व त्यांचे शेजारी यांना जसे उलथून टाकले तसे होईल. तेथे कोणीही जिवंत राहणार नाही. तेथे कोणी व्यक्ती मुक्काम करणार नाही. देव असे म्हणाला,
As Sodom was overthrown and Gomorrha, and the neighbours thereof, saith the Lord: there shall not a man dwell there, and there shall no son of man inhabit it.
19 १९ “पाहा, तो सिंहासारखा यार्देनेच्या वनातून वर टिकाऊ कुरणाच्या देशात येईल. कारण मी अदोमाला त्यातून जलद पळून जायला भाग पाडीन आणि जो कोणी मी निवडलेला आहे त्यास तिच्यावर नेमून ठेवीन. कारण माझ्यासारखा कोण आहे आणि मला कोण हुकूम करीन? कोणता मेंढपाळ मला विरोध करण्यास समर्थ आहे?”
Behold one shall come up as a lion from the swelling of the Jordan, against the strong and beautiful: for I will make him run suddenly upon her: and who shall be the chosen one whom I may appoint over her? for who is like to me? and who shall abide me? and who is that shepherd that can withstand my countenance?
20 २० म्हणून अदोमाविरूद्ध परमेश्वराने ठरवलेली योजना काय आहे? तेमानाच्या रहिवाश्याविरूद्ध त्याने जी योजना तयार केली ती ऐका; ते खचित लहानातील लहान कळपालासुद्धा ओढून नेतील. त्यांची कुरणाचे देश ओसाड जागेत बदलतील.
Therefore hear ye the counsel of the Lord, which he hath taken concerning Edom: and his thoughts which he hath thought concerning the inhabitants of Theman: surely the little ones of the flock shall cast them down, of a truth they shall destroy them with their habitation.
21 २१ त्यांच्या पडण्याच्या आवाजाने धरणी हादरेल. त्यांच्या दुःखाचा आक्रोश तांबड्या समुद्रापर्यंत ऐकू येत आहे.
The earth is moved at the noise of their fall: the cry of their voice is heard in the Red Sea.
22 २२ पाहा, कोणीतरी गरुडासारखा हल्ला करील आणि खाली झडप घालील व बस्रावर आपले पंख पसरेल. मग त्या दिवशी, अदोमाच्या सैनिकांचे हृदय प्रसूती वेदना होणाऱ्या स्त्रीप्रमाणे होईल.
Behold he shall come up as an eagle, and fly: and he shall spread his wings over Bosra: and in that day the heart of the valiant ones of Edom shall be as the heart of a woman in labour.
23 २३ दिमिष्काविषयीः हमाथ व अर्पद लज्जित होतील, कारण त्यांनी अरिष्टाची बातमी ऐकली आहे. ते नाहीसे झाले आहेत! ते समुद्रासारखे खवळले आहेत, ते शांत होऊ शकत नाही.
Against Damascus. Emath is confounded and Arphad: for they have heard very bad tidings, they are troubled as in the sea: through care they could not rest.
24 २४ दिमिष्क फार दुबळे झाले आहे. ती पळून जाण्यास माघारी फिरली आहे. दहशतीने तिला वेढले आहे. दुःखाने तिला घेरले आहे, प्रसूत होणाऱ्या स्त्रीप्रमाणे वेदना होत आहेत.
Damascus is undone, she is put to flight, trembling hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her as a woman in labour.
25 २५ तिचे लोक म्हणतात, “प्रसिद्ध नगरी, ज्या एक नगरीवर मी हर्ष करीत होते. अजूनपर्यंत कशी खाली केली नाही?
How have they forsaken the city of renown, the city of joy!
26 २६ म्हणून त्याची तरुण माणसे त्याच्या चौकात पडतील आणि लढणारी माणसे त्या दिवशी नष्ट होतील.” असे सेनाधीश परमेश्वर म्हणतो.
Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets: and all the men of war shall be silent in that day, saith the Lord of hosts.
And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, rind it shall devour the strong holds of Benadad.
28 २८ केदाराविषयी व हासोराची राज्ये, परमेश्वर नबुखद्नेस्सरास हे म्हणत आहे (आता बाबेलाचा राजा नबुखद्नेस्सर या ठिकणी हल्ला करण्यास जाणार होता) “उठा आणि केदारावर हल्ला करा व पूर्वेच्या त्या लोकांचा नाश करा.
Against Cedar and against the kingdoms of Asor, which Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon destroyed. Thus saith the Lord: Arise, and go ye up to Cedar, and waste the children of the east.
29 २९ त्यांचे सैन्य त्यांचे तंबू व त्यांचे कळप, त्यांच्या तंबूचे पडदे व त्यांचे सर्व साहित्य घेऊन जातील. केदारच्या लोकांकडून त्यांचे उंट आपणासाठी घेऊन जातील आणि त्यांना ओरडून सांगतील. ‘चोहोकडे सर्व दहशत आहे.’
They shall take their tents, and their flocks: and shall carry off for themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels: and they shall call fear upon them round about.
30 ३० परमेश्वर म्हणतो, पळा! हासोराच्या रहिवाश्यांनो, दूर भटका, जमिनीच्या विवरात रहा. कारण बाबेलाचा राजा नबुखद्नेस्सराने तुमच्याविरुध्द नवीन योजना योजली आहे. पळा! माघारी फिरा!
Flee ye, get away speedily, sit in deep holes, you that inhabit Asur, saith the Lord: for Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived designs against you.
31 ३१ परमेश्वर म्हणतो, उठा! स्वस्थ व सुरक्षित राहणाऱ्या राष्ट्रावर हल्ला करा. त्यास त्यामध्ये वेशी व अडसर नाहीत आणि त्यांच्यात त्यांचे लोक राहतात.
Arise, and so up to a nation that is at ease, and that dwelleth securely, saith the Lord: they have neither gates, nor bars: they dwell alone.
32 ३२ कारण त्यांचे उंट लुटले जातील व त्यांची विपुल संपत्ती युद्धाची लूट अशी होईल. त्यांच्या दाढीच्या कडा कापलेल्यांना सर्व दिशांकडे विखरीन आणि मी त्यांच्यावर सर्व बाजूने संकटे आणीन.” असे परमेश्वर म्हणतो.
And their camels shall be for a spoil, and the multitude of their cattle for a booty, and I will scatter into every wind them that have their hair cut round, and I will bring destruction upon them from I all their confines, saith the Lord.
33 ३३ “हासोर कोल्ह्यांची वस्ती होईल, कायमचे ओसाड होईल. तेथे कोणीही राहणार नाही. कोणी मनुष्यप्राणी तेथे राहणार नाही.”
And Asor shall be a habitation for dragons, desolate for ever: no man shall abide there, nor son of man inhabit it.
34 ३४ यहूदाचा राजा सिद्कीया याच्या राज्याच्या सुरवातीच्या काळात एलामाविषयी यिर्मया संदेष्ट्याकडे परमेश्वराचे वचन आले. ते म्हणाले,
The word of the Lord that came to Jeremias the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Sedecias king of Juda, saying:
35 ३५ सेनाधीश परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “पाहा, त्यांच्या बलाचा मुख्य भाग एलामाचे धनुर्धारी माणसे यांना मी लवकरच मोडीन.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Behold I will break the bow of Elam, and their chief strength.
36 ३६ कारण मी आकाशाच्या चार कोपऱ्यातून चार वारे आणीन, आणि मी एलामाच्या लोकांस त्या सर्व वाऱ्यांकडे विखरीन. ज्याकडे एलामाचे घालवलेले जाणार नाहीत असे एकही राष्ट्र असणार नाही.
And I will bring upon Elam the four winds from the fear quarters of heaven: and I will scatter them into all these winds: and there shall be no nation, to which the fugitives of Elam shall not come.
37 ३७ म्हणून मी एलामाच्या शत्रूसमोर आणि जे त्याचा जीव घेऊ पाहतात त्यांच्यासमोर तुकडे तुकडे करीन. कारण मी त्यांच्याविरुद्ध अरिष्ट, माझा संतप्त क्रोध आणीन. असे परमेश्वर म्हणत आहे. आणि मी त्यांना संपूर्ण नाश करीपर्यंत तलवार त्यांच्या पाठीस लावीन.
And I will cause Elam to be afraid before their enemies, and in the sight of them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, my fierce wrath, saith the Lord: and will send the sword after them, till I consume them.
38 ३८ मग मी एलामात आपले राजासन ठेवीन आणि तेथून त्याचा राजा व त्याचे अधिकारी यांना नष्ट करीन.” असे परमेश्वराचे सांगणे आहे.
And I will set my throne in Elam, and destroy kings and princes from thence, saith the Lord.
39 ३९ “शेवटल्या दिवसात असे घडेल की, मी एलामात बंदिवासात गेलेले परत आणीन,” असे परमेश्वराचे सांगणे आहे.
But in the latter days I will cause the captives of Elam, to return, saith the Lord.
