1 ൧ ഒരു ഗീതം; ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ മനസ്സ് ഉറച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ പാടും; എന്റെ ഉള്ളംകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ കീർത്തനം പാടും.
Song of a Psalm by David. O God, my heart is ready, my heart is ready; I will sing and sing psalms with my glory.
Awake, lute and harp; I will awake early.
3 ൩ യഹോവേ, വംശങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യും; ജനതകളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്ക് കീർത്തനം പാടും.
I will give thanks to you, O Lord, amongst the people; I will sing praise to you amongst the Gentiles.
For your mercy is great above the heavens, and your truth [reaches] to the clouds.
Be you exalted, O God, above the heavens; and your glory above all the earth.
6 ൬ അങ്ങേക്കു പ്രിയമുള്ളവർ വിടുവിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന് അങ്ങയുടെ വലങ്കൈകൊണ്ട് രക്ഷിച്ച് ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉത്തരമരുളണമേ.
That your beloved [ones] may be delivered, save with your right hand, and hear me. God has spoken in his sanctuary;
7 ൭ ദൈവം തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധിയിൽ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്: “ഞാൻ ആനന്ദത്തോടെ ശെഖേമിനെ വിഭാഗിച്ച് സുക്കോത്ത് താഴ്വരയെ അളക്കും.
I will be exalted, and will divide Sicima, and will measure out the valley of tents.
8 ൮ ഗിലെയാദ് എനിക്കുള്ളത്; മനശ്ശെയും എനിക്കുള്ളത്; എഫ്രയീം എന്റെ ശിരോകവചവും യെഹൂദാ എന്റെ ചെങ്കോലും ആകുന്നു.
Galaad is mine; and Manasses is mine; and Ephraim is the help of mine head; Judas is my king;
9 ൯ മോവാബ് എനിക്ക് കഴുകുവാനുള്ള പാത്രം; ഏദോമിന്മേൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ചെരിപ്പ് എറിയും; ഫെലിസ്ത്യദേശത്തിന്മേൽ ഞാൻ ജയഘോഷംകൊള്ളും”.
Moab is the cauldron of my hope; over Idumea will I cast my sandal; the Philistines are made subject to me.
Who will bring me into the fortified city? or who will guide me to Idumea?
11 ൧൧ ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങ് ഞങ്ങളെ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞില്ലയോ? ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങ് ഞങ്ങളുടെ സൈന്യങ്ങളോടുകൂടി പുറപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.
Will not you, O God, who have rejected us? and will not you, O God, go forth with our hosts?
Give us help from tribulation: for vain is the help of man.
Through God we shall do valiantly; and he will bring to nothing our enemies.
