സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 36

1 സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. യഹോവയുടെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. പാപം ദുഷ്ടരുടെ ഹൃദയാന്തർഭാഗത്തു മന്ത്രിക്കുന്നു അവരുടെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ ദൈവഭയം ഇല്ലാതായിരിക്കുന്നു.

For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David the servant of Jehovah. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes.

2 തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യം കണ്ടുപിടിക്കപ്പെടുകയോ പാപം വെറുക്കപ്പെടുകയോ ചെയ്യാതവണ്ണം അവർ ആത്മപ്രശംസചെയ്യുന്നു.

For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, That his iniquity will not be found out and be hated.

3 അവരുടെ വായിൽനിന്നുള്ള വാക്കുകൾ ദുഷ്ടതയും വഞ്ചനയും ഉള്ളതാകുന്നു; വിവേകത്തോടെ നന്മപ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നതിൽനിന്നും അവർ പിൻവാങ്ങുന്നു.

The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: He hath ceased to be wise [and] to do good.

4 അവരുടെ കിടക്കയിൽവെച്ചുപോലും അവർ ദുഷ്ടത നെയ്തുകൂട്ടുന്നു; പാപവഴികളിലേക്ക് അവർ അവരെത്തന്നെ സമർപ്പിക്കുന്നു തിന്മയിൽനിന്നു പിന്തിരിയാൻ ഒരു പരിശ്രമവും നടത്തുന്നില്ല.

He deviseth iniquity upon his bed; He setteth himself in a way that is not good; He abhorreth not evil.

5 യഹോവേ, അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ആകാശത്തോളം എത്തുന്നു, അവിടത്തെ വിശ്വസ്തത മേഘങ്ങളോളം വ്യാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, is in the heavens; Thy faithfulness [reacheth] unto the skies.

6 അവിടത്തെ നീതി അത്യുന്നത പർവതങ്ങൾപോലെയും അവിടത്തെ ന്യായം അഗാധസമുദ്രംപോലെയും ആകുന്നു. യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് മനുഷ്യരെയും മൃഗങ്ങളെയും സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; Thy judgments are a great deep: O Jehovah, thou preservest man and beast.

7 ദൈവമേ, അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം എത്ര അമൂല്യമാകുന്നു! സകലമനുഷ്യരും അവിടത്തെ ചിറകിൻകീഴിൽ അഭയംതേടുന്നു.

How precious is thy lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.

8 അവിടത്തെ ഭവനത്തിന്റെ സമൃദ്ധിയിൽ അവർ വിരുന്നുണ്ട്, തൃപ്തിയടയുന്നു; അവിടത്തെ ആനന്ദപ്രവാഹത്തിൽനിന്ന്, അവർക്കു കുടിക്കാൻനൽകുന്നു.

They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; And thou wilt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

9 കാരണം അവിടത്തെ സന്നിധാനത്തിൽ ജീവജലധാരയുണ്ട്; അവിടത്തെ പ്രഭയിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ പ്രകാശം ദർശിക്കുന്നു.

For with thee is the fountain of life: In thy light shall we see light.

10 അങ്ങയെ അറിയുന്നവർക്ക് അവിടത്തെ സ്നേഹവും ഹൃദയപരമാർഥികൾക്ക് അവിടത്തെ നീതിയും തുടർന്നും നൽകണമേ.

Oh continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee, And thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

11 അഹന്തനിറഞ്ഞവരുടെ പാദം എനിക്കെതിരേ നീങ്ങരുതേ, ദുഷ്ടരുടെ കൈ എന്നെ ആട്ടിപ്പായിക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കട്ടെ.

Let not the foot of pride come against me, And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.

12 ഇതാ! അധർമം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവർ എപ്രകാരം വീണടിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു— തള്ളിവീഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു, എഴുന്നേൽക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്നതുമില്ല!

There are the workers of iniquity fallen: They are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.
