യെശയ്യാവ് 10

1 ദരിദ്രന്മാരുടെ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളവാനും എന്റെ ജനത്തിലെ എളിയവരുടെ അവകാശം ഇല്ലാതാക്കുവാനും വിധവമാർ തങ്ങൾക്കു കൊള്ളയായ്തീരുവാനും അനാഥന്മാരെ തങ്ങൾക്കു ഇരയാക്കുവാനും തക്കവണ്ണം

“Woe [to] those decreeing decrees of iniquity, And writers who have prescribed perverseness,

2 നീതികെട്ട ചട്ടം നിയമിക്കുന്നവർക്കും അനർത്ഥം എഴുതിവെക്കുന്ന എഴുത്തുകാർക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

Of My people, That widows may be their prey, That they may spoil the fatherless.

3 സന്ദർശനദിവസത്തിലും ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു വരുന്ന വിനാശത്തിങ്കലും നിങ്ങൾ എന്തു ചെയ്യും? സഹായത്തിന്നായിട്ടു നിങ്ങൾ ആരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഓടിപ്പോകും? നിങ്ങളുടെ മഹത്വം നിങ്ങൾ എവിടെ വെച്ചുകൊള്ളും?

And what do you do at a day of inspection? And at desolation that comes from afar? Near whom do you flee for help? And where do you leave your glory?

4 അവർ ബദ്ധന്മാരുടെ കീഴെ കുനികയും ഹതന്മാരുടെ കീഴെ വീഴുകയും ചെയ്കേയുള്ളു. ഇതെല്ലാം കൊണ്ടും അവന്റെ കോപം അടങ്ങാതെ അവന്റെ കൈ ഇനിയും നീട്ടിയിരിക്കും.

It has bowed down without Me In the place of a bound one, And they fall in the place of the slain.” With all this His anger has not turned back, And His hand is still stretched out.

5 എന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ കോലായ അശ്ശൂരിന്നു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! അവരുടെ കയ്യിലെ വടി എന്റെ ക്രോധം ആകുന്നു.

“Woe [to] Asshur, a rod of My anger, And My indignation [is] a staff in their hand.

6 ഞാൻ അവനെ അശുദ്ധമായോരു ജാതിക്കു നേരെ അയക്കും; എന്റെ ക്രോധം വഹിക്കുന്ന ജനത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി ഞാൻ അവന്നു കല്പന കൊടുക്കും; അവരെ കൊള്ളയിടുവാനും കവർച്ച ചെയ്‌വാനും തെരുവീഥിയിലെ ചെളിയെപ്പോലെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളവാനും തന്നേ.

I send him against a profane nation, And concerning a people of My wrath I charge him, To spoil spoil, and to seize prey, And to make it a treading-place as the clay of out places.

7 അവനോ അങ്ങനെയല്ല നിരൂപിക്കുന്നതു; തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ അങ്ങനെയല്ല വിചാരിക്കുന്നതു; നശിപ്പിപ്പാനും അനേകം ജാതികളെ ഛേദിച്ചുകളവാനുമത്രേ അവന്റെ താല്പര്യം.

And he does not think [it] so, And his heart does not reckon [it] so, For—to destroy [is] in his heart, And to cut off nations—not a few.

8 അവൻ പറയുന്നതു: എന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ ഒക്കെയും രാജാക്കന്മാരല്ലയോ?

For he says, Are my princes not altogether kings?

9 കല്നോ കർക്കെമീശിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ? ഹമാത്ത് അർപ്പാദിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ? ശമര്യ ദമ്മേശെക്കിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ?

Is not Calno as Carchemish? Is not Hamath as Arpad? Is not Samaria as Damascus?

10 യെരൂശലേമിലും ശമര്യയിലും ഉള്ളവയെക്കാൾ വിശേഷമായ ബിംബങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മിത്ഥ്യാമൂർത്തികളുടെ രാജ്യങ്ങളെ എന്റെ കൈ എത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചിരിക്കെ,

As my hand has gotten to the kingdoms of a worthless thing, and their carved images, [Greater] than Jerusalem and than Samaria,

11 ഞാൻ ശമര്യയോടും അതിലെ മിത്ഥ്യാമൂർത്തികളോടും ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഞാൻ യെരൂശലേമിനോടും അതിലെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടും ചെയ്കയില്ലയോ?

Do I not—as I have done to Samaria, And to her worthless things, So do to Jerusalem and to her grievous things?”

12 അതുകൊണ്ടു കർത്താവു സീയോൻപർവ്വതത്തിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയൊക്കെയും തീർത്തശേഷം, ഞാൻ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിന്റെ അഹങ്കാരത്തിന്റെ ഫലത്തെയും അവന്റെ ഉന്നതഭാവത്തിന്റെ മഹിമയെയും സന്ദർശിക്കും.

And it has come to pass, When the Lord fulfills all His work In Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, I see concerning the fruit of the greatness Of the heart of the king of Asshur, And concerning the glory of the height of his eyes.

13 എന്റെ കയ്യുടെ ശക്തികൊണ്ടും എന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം കൊണ്ടും ഞാൻ ഇതു ചെയ്തു; ഞാൻ ബുദ്ധിമാൻ; ഞാൻ ജാതികളുടെ അതിരുകളെ മാറ്റുകയും അവരുടെ ഭണ്ഡാരങ്ങളെ കവർന്നുകളകയും പരാക്രമിയെപ്പോലെ സിംഹാസനസ്ഥന്മാരെ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

For he has said, “I have worked by the power of my hand, And by my wisdom, for I have been intelligent, And I remove borders of the peoples, And I have spoiled their chief ones, And I put down the inhabitants as a mighty one,

14 എന്റെ കൈ ജാതികളുടെ ധനത്തെ ഒരു പക്ഷിക്കൂടിനെപ്പോലെ എത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചു; ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ മുട്ടകളെ ശേഖരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, ഞാൻ സർവ്വഭൂമിയെയും കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു; ചിറകു അനക്കുകയോ ചുണ്ടു തുറക്കുകയോ ചിലെക്കുകയോ ചെയ്‌വാൻ ഒന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവൻ പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

And my hand gets to the wealth of the peoples as to a nest, And as a gathering of forsaken eggs I have gathered all the earth, And there has not been one moving wing, Or opening mouth, or whispering.”

15 വെട്ടുന്നവനോടു കോടാലി വമ്പു പറയുമോ? വലിക്കുന്നവനോടു ഈർച്ചവാൾ വലിപ്പം കാട്ടുമോ? അതോ, പിടിക്കുന്നവനെ വടി പൊക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും മരമല്ലാത്തവനെ കോൽ പൊന്തിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും ആകുന്നു.

Does the axe glorify itself Against him who is hewing with it? Does the saw magnify itself Against him who is shaking it? As a rod waving those lifting it up! As a staff lifting up that which is not wood!

16 അതുകൊണ്ടു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു അവന്റെ പുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ ക്ഷയം അയക്കും; അവന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിൻ കീഴെ തീ കത്തുംപോലെ ഒന്നു കത്തും.

Therefore the Lord, the Lord of Hosts, Sends leanness among his fat ones, And under his glory He kindles a burning As the burning of a fire.

17 യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വെളിച്ചം ഒരു തീയായും അവന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ ഒരു ജ്വാലയായും ഇരിക്കും; അതു കത്തി, ഒരു ദിവസംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ മുള്ളും പറക്കാരയും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

And the light of Israel has been for a fire, And his Holy One for a flame, And it has burned, and devoured his thorn And his brier in one day.

18 അവൻ അവന്റെ കാട്ടിന്റെയും തോട്ടത്തിന്റെയും മഹത്വത്തെ ദേഹിദേഹവുമായി നശിപ്പിക്കും; അതു ഒരു രോഗി ക്ഷയിച്ചു പോകുന്നതു പോലെയിരിക്കും.

And the glory of his forest, and his fruitful field, He consumes from soul even to flesh, And it has been as the fainting of a standard-bearer.

19 അവന്റെ കാട്ടിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വൃക്ഷങ്ങൾ ചുരുക്കം ആയിരിക്കും; ഒരു ബാലന്നു അവയെ എണ്ണി എഴുതാം.

And the rest of the trees of his forest [are] few, And a youth writes them.

20 അന്നാളിൽ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ശേഷിച്ചവരും യാക്കോബ് ഗൃഹത്തിലെ രക്ഷിതഗണവും തങ്ങളെ അടിച്ചവനെ ഇനി ആശ്രയിക്കാതെ, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനായ യഹോവയെ പരമാർത്ഥമായി ആശ്രയിക്കും.

And it has come to pass in that day, The remnant of Israel, And the escaped of the house of Jacob, Do not add anymore to lean on its striker, And have leaned on YHWH, The Holy One of Israel, in truth.

21 ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പു മടങ്ങിവരും (ശെയാർ-യാശൂബ്); യാക്കോബിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പു വീരനാം ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരും.

A remnant returns—a remnant of Jacob, To the Mighty God.

22 യിസ്രായേലേ, നിന്റെ ജനം കടല്ക്കരയിലെ മണൽപോലെ ആയിരുന്നാലും അതിൽ ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പു മാത്രം മടങ്ങിവരും; നീതിയെ പ്രവഹിക്കുന്നതായോരു സംഹാരം നിർണ്ണയിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

For though your people Israel be as the sand of the sea, A remnant of it returns, A consumption determined, Overflowing [with] righteousness.

23 എങ്ങനെ എന്നാൽ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു സർവ്വഭൂമിയുടെയും മദ്ധ്യേ നിർണ്ണയിക്കപ്പെട്ട സംഹാരം വരുത്തും.

For a consumption that is determined, The Lord, YHWH of Hosts, Is making in the midst of all the land.

24 അതുകൊണ്ടു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: സീയോനിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ജനമേ, അശ്ശൂർ വടികൊണ്ടു നിന്നെ അടിക്കയും മിസ്രയീമിലെ വിധത്തിൽ നിന്റെ നേരെ ചൂരൽ ഓങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്താലും നീ അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ.

Therefore, thus said the Lord, YHWH of Hosts: “Do not be afraid, My people, inhabiting Zion, because of Asshur, He strikes you with a rod, And his staff lifts up against you, in the way of Egypt.

25 ഇനി കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു എന്റെ ക്രോധവും അവരുടെ സംഹാരത്തോടെ എന്റെ കോപവും തിർന്നുപോകും.

For yet a very little [while], And the indignation has been completed, And My anger by their wearing out.”

26 ഓറേബ് പാറെക്കരികെ വെച്ചുള്ള മിദ്യാന്റെ സംഹാരത്തിൽ എന്നപോലെ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അവന്റെ നേരെ ഒരു ചമ്മട്ടിയെ പൊക്കും; അവൻ തന്റെ വടി സമുദ്രത്തിന്മേൽ നീട്ടും; മിസ്രയീമിൽ ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അതിനെ ഓങ്ങും.

And YHWH of Hosts is awaking for him, A scourge like the striking of Midian at the rock Oreb, And his rod [is] over the sea, And he has lifted it in the way of Egypt.

27 അന്നാളിൽ അവന്റെ ചുമടു നിന്റെ തോളിൽനിന്നും അവന്റെ നുകം നിന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ നിന്നും നീങ്ങിപ്പോകും; പുഷ്ടിനിമിത്തം നുകം തകർന്നുപോകും.

And it has come to pass in that day, His burden is turned from off your shoulder, And his yoke from off your neck, And the yoke has been destroyed, because of prosperity.

28 അവൻ അയ്യാത്തിൽ എത്തി, മിഗ്രോനിൽകൂടി കടന്നു; മിക്മാശിൽ തന്റെ പടക്കോപ്പു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

He has come in against Aiath, He has passed over into Migron, At Michmash he looks after his vessels.

29 അവർ ചുരം കടന്നു; ഗേബയിൽ രാപാർത്തു; റാമാ നടുങ്ങുന്നു; ശൗലിന്റെ ഗിബെയാ ഓടിപ്പോയി.

They have gone over the passage, They have made Geba a lodging place, Rama has trembled, Gibeah of Saul fled.

30 ഗല്ലീംപുത്രീ, ഉറക്കെ നിലവിളിക്ക; ലയേശേ, ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകേൾക്ക; അനാഥോത്തേ, ഉത്തരം പറക.

Cry aloud [with] your voice, daughter of Gallim, Give attention, Laish! Answer her, Anathoth.

31 മദ്മേനാ ഓട്ടം തുടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഗെബീംനിവാസികൾ ഓട്ടത്തിന്നു വട്ടംകൂട്ടുന്നു.

Madmenah has fled away, The inhabitants of the high places have hardened themselves.

32 ഇന്നു അവൻ നോബിൽ താമസിക്കും; യെരൂശലേംഗിരിയായ സീയോൻ പുത്രിയുടെ പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ നേരെ അവൻ കൈ കുലുക്കുന്നു.

Yet today to remain in Nob, The mountain of the daughter of Zion waves its hand, The hill of Jerusalem.

33 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു കൊമ്പുകളെ ഭയങ്കരമായി മുറിച്ചുകളയും; പൊക്കത്തിൽ വളർന്നവയെ അവൻ വെട്ടിയിടുകയും ഉയർന്നവയെ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.

Behold, the Lord, YHWH of Hosts, Is lopping a branch with violence, And the high of stature are cut down, And the lofty have become low,

34 അവൻ വനത്തിലെ പള്ളക്കാടുകളെ ഇരിമ്പായുധംകൊണ്ടു വെട്ടിക്കളയും; ലെബാനോനും ബലവാന്റെ കയ്യാൽ വീണുപോകും.

And He has gone around the thickets of the forest with iron, And Lebanon falls by a mighty one!
