< Jeremia 51 >
1 Hoe t’Iehovà: Inao! hetsefeko amy Bavele naho amo mpimone’ i Leb-Kanaio ty kofom-pijoy.
THE WORD THAT CAME TO JEREMIAS for all the Jews dwelling in the land of Egypt, and for those settled in Magdolo and in Taphnas, and in the land of Pathura, saying,
2 Le hañitrifako ty ambahiny hanongañe aze, naho hampikapaike i tane’ey; fa hiarikoboñe hiatreatre aze iereo amy andron-kankà’ey.
Thus has the Lord God of Israel said; You have seen all the evils which I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon the cities of Juda; and, behold, they are desolate without inhabitants,
3 Ko mei’o t’ie hampibitso-pale, naho ty hiongaha’ ty aman-tsarom-by; tsy sisañe o ajalahi’eo, fonga rotsaho o valobohò’eo,
because of their wickedness, which they have wrought to provoke me, [by] going to burn incense to other gods, whom you knew not.
4 hitsingoro an-tane’ o nte Kasdio, ie tinombok’ an-dala’iareo eo.
yet I sent to you my servants the prophets early in the morning, and I sent, saying, Do not you this abominable thing which I hate.
5 Fe tsy niramavoin’ Añahare’e, Iehovà’ i Màroy, t’Israele naho Iehodà; ndra te lifo-kakeo aolo’ i Masi’ Israeley i tane’ iareoy.
But they listened not to me, and inclined not their ear to turn from their wickedness, so as not to burn incense to strange gods.
6 Itribaho ty lay i Bavele ao, songa mandrombaha aiñe, ko mirotsak’ amy fandilovañe azey; fa tondroke ty andron-kaviñera’ Iehovà; hañondroha’e ho valen-kakeo’e.
So mine anger and my wrath dropped [upon them], and was kindled in the gates of Juda, and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they became a desolation and a waste, as at this day.
7 Toe ni-fitovy volamena am-pità’ Iehovà t’i Bavele, hene nampimamoe’e ty tane toy; ninome’ o kilakila’ ndatio ty divai’e, izay ty maha-dereñe iareo.
And now thus has the Lord Almighty said, Therefore do you commit [these] great evils against your souls? to cut off man and woman of you, infant and suckling from the midst of Juda, to the end that not one of you should be left;
8 Nideboñe ami’ty manao zao ty Bavele, rotsake! angololoiho! Añendeso aoly o fangirifiri’eo, hera hahasarik’ aze.
by provoking me with the works of your hands, to burn incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, into which you entered to dwell there, that you might be cut off, and that you might become a curse and a reproach amongst all the nations of the earth?
9 Nañosora’ay famelañe t’i Bavele, f’ie tsy nahajangañe aze, ifario, antao songa himpoly mb’an-tane’e añe; fa mitakatse i likerañey ty fizakañ’aze, toe mionjomb’an-dindiñe añe.
Have you forgotten the sins of your fathers, and the sins of the kings of Juda, and the sins of your princes, and the sins of your wives, which they wrought in the land of Juda, and in the streets of Jerusalem?
10 Fa nihenefa’ Iehovà ty fañavantañañe anay; antao hitalily e Tsione ao ty fitoloña’ Iehovà Andrianañaharentika.
And have not ceased even to this day, and they have not kept to my ordinances, which I set before their fathers.
11 Sioño o ana-paleo, atsafo o traño’eo, fa nitroboe’ Iehovà ty tro’ o mpanjaka’ i Madaio; fa safiri’e ty mandrotsake i Bavele; ho famalea’ Iehovà, ho fañodrohañe i anjomba’ey.
Therefore thus says the Lord; Behold I do set my face against [you]
12 Aonjono viloñe amo kijoli’ i Baveleo, ampaozaro o mpijiloo, atroaro o mpañambeñeo, ampihentseño mpamandroñe; fa naereñerè’ Iehovà naho nihenefa’e i nitsara’e amo mpimone’ i Baveleoy.
to destroy all the remnant that are in Egypt; and they shall fall by the sword, and by famine, and shall be consumed small and great: and they shall be for reproach, and for destruction, and for a curse.
13 O mpiambesatse añ’ olon-drano maro, am-bara tsifotofotoo, fa tsatoke ty figadoña’o, ty fizehem-pikatramoa’o.
And I will visit them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have visited Jerusalem, with sword and with famine:
14 Fa nifanta am-pañova’e t’Iehovà’ i Màroy: Toe ho tsitsifeko ondaty mira amo kijejao irehe; ie hipoña-tsabo ama’o.
and there shall not one be preserved of the remnant of Juda that sojourn in the land of Egypt, to return to the land of Juda, to which they hope in their hearts to return: they shall not return, but only they that escape.
15 I namboatse ty tane toy ami’ty haozara’ey, i nañoreñe ty voatse toy ami’ty hihi’ey, naho nandafike o likerañeo ami’ty hilala’e;
Then all the men that knew that their wives burnt incense, and all the women, a great multitude, and all the people that lived in the land of Egypt, in Pathura, answered Jeremias, saying,
16 ie mañotroke i fiarañanaña’ey le mitroñe o rano an-dikerañeo; ampionjone’e boak’añ’olon-tane añe o evoñeo; anoe’e ampiñe i orañey, vaho akare’e amo riha’eo i tiokey.
[As for] the word which you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we will not listen to you.
17 Zoeñe te biby t’indaty tsy aman-kilala; songa salatse ty mpanefe volamena ty amo sare sokire’eo, te vande avao i trinana’ey, mbore tsy mahakofòke.
For we will surely perform every word that shall proceed out of our mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour drink-offerings to her, as we and our fathers have done, and our kings and princes, in the cities of Juda, and in the streets of Jerusalem: and [so] we were filled with bread, and were well, and saw no evils.
18 Hakoafañe iereo, satam-pamerevere; ie ho mongotse ami’ty andro fandilovañe iareo.
But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, we have all been brought low, and have been consumed by sword and by famine.
19 Tsy manahake izay ty Anjara’ Iakobe, amy te Ie ro Mpamboatse ze he’e, naho ty kobain-dova’e, Iehovà’ i Màroy ty tahina’e;
And whereas we burnt incense to the queen of heaven, and poured drink-offerings to her, did we make cakes to her, and pour drink-offerings to her, without our husbands?
20 Ihe ro dodako naho fialiañ’ aliko, ie rekets’Azo le hampagomokomoheko ty fifelehañe naho hampikimokimoheko ty fifeheañe.
Then Jeremias answered all the people, the mighty men, and the women, and all the people that returned him [these] words for answer, saying,
21 Ie ama’o iraho, le andemodemoheko soavala naho i mpiningi’ey, naho ama’o le hampikimokimoheko ty sarete rekets’ i mpijoñe ama’ey;
Did not the Lord remember the incense which you burnt in the cities of Juda, and in the streets of Jerusalem, you, and your fathers, and your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land? and came it not into his heart?
22 Ie ama’o le hampibaibaieko t’indaty naho ty ampela, naho ama’o le hañimokimoheko ty androanavy naho ty tora’e; vaho ie ama’o le handemoheko ty ajalahy naho ty somondrara.
And the Lord could no longer bear [you], because of the wickedness of your doings, and because of your abominations which you wrought; and so your land became a desolation and a waste, and a curse, as at this day;
23 Ie ama’o le hampagomokomoheko ty mpiarake naho ty lia-rai’e, ie ama’o le handemoheko ty mpiroake naho o katraka’eo, ie ama’o le hañimokimoheko o mpifeheo rekets’ o sorota’eo.
because of your burning incense, and [because] of the things wherein you sinned against the Lord: and you have not listened to the voice of the Lord, and have not walked in his ordinances, and in his law, and in his testimonies; and so these evils have come upon you.
24 Le hondrohako amy Bavele naho amo hene mpimone’ i Kasdio, ze fonga halò-tsereke nanoe’ iereo e Tsione ao ampahaoniña’o eo, hoe t’Iehovà.
And Jeremias said to the people, and to the women, Hear you the word of the Lord.
25 Inao atreatreko irehe, ry vohitse mandrotsake, hoe t’Iehovà, ty mampianto ty tane toy iaby; le hatora-kitsiko ama’o ty sirako, naho havarimbariko hizotso o tsera-batoo irehe, vaho hanoeko vohitse finorototo.
Thus has the Lord God of Israel said; You women have spoken with your mouth, and you fulfilled [it] with your hands, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour drink-offerings to her: full well did you keep to your vows, and you have indeed performed [them].
26 Le tsy hangala’ iareo ama’o ty vato-kotsoke, ndra ty vato hanoeñe manantañe; fa hangoakoake kitro-katroke, hoe t’Iehovà.
Therefore hear you the word of the Lord, all Jews dwelling in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, says the Lord, my name shall no longer be in the mouth of every Jew to say, The Lord lives, in all the land of Egypt.
27 Añonjono viloñe i taney, popoho añivo’ o fifeheañeo ty antsiva, añambaho fifeheañe hiatreatre aze, koiho hifanontone ama’e ty fifehea’ i Ararate, i Miny, naho i Askenaze; tendreo mpiaolo hiatrek’aze; ampionjono mb’eo o soavalao hoe kijeja mifamorohotse.
For I have watched over them, to hurt them, and not to do them good: and all the Jews dwelling in the land of Egypt shall perish by sword and by famine, until they are utterly consumed.
28 Ambaho ho ama’e o fifeheañeo, o mpanjaka’ o nte-Madaio, o mpifele’eo, o sorotà’eo, reketse ze hene tane fehe’e.
And they that escape the sword shall return to the land of Juda few in number, and the remnant of Juda, who have continued in the land [of] Egypt to dwell there, shall know whose word shall stand.
29 Aa le manginikinike vaho mañore i taney; amy te mijadoñe o ereñereñ’ arofo’ Iehovà amy Baveleo, te hampangoakoahe’e ty tane’ i Bavele, tsy ho amam-pimoneñe.
And this [shall be] a sign to you, that I will visit you for evil.
30 Malain-kialy o fanalolahi’ i Baveleo; mikonenak’ am-pipalirañe ao; fa milesa ty haozara’ iareo, hoe t’ie rakemba; nampiforeheteñe o akiba’eo, pinozake o sikada’eo.
Thus said the Lord; Behold, I [will] give Uaphres king of Egypt into the hands of his enemy, and into the hands of one that seeks his life; as I gave Sedekias king of Juda into the hands of Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon, his enemy, and who sought his life.
31 Milay hifanojo ami’ty mpijilo raike ty raike, naho hifanampe ami’ty ìrake raike ty raike, hitalily amy mpanjaka’ i Baveley te fa tinavañe an-kotso’e valo i rovay;
THE WORD WHICH JEREMIAS THE PROPHET spoke to Baruch son of Nerias, when he wrote these words in the book from the mouth of Jeremias, in the fourth year of Joakim the son of Josias king of Juda.
32 fa tinambozòtse o fitsahañeo, fa finorototo o vindao, vaho vorombeloñe o lahin-defoñeo.
Thus has the Lord said to you, O Baruch.
33 Hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy, t’i Andrianañahare’ Israele: Ho toem-pifofohañe t’i Bavele amy androm-pamofohañey; aniany te ho tendreke ty sam-pitatahañe aze.
Whereas you have said, Alas! alas! for the Lord has laid a grievous trouble upon me; I lay down in groaning, I found no rest;
34 Fa nampigedrañ’ahy t’i Nebokadnetsare, mpanjaka’ i Bavele, dinemo’e iraho, napo’e eo hoe korobo kapaike, nagodra’e an-tsatan-drimo, naatsa’e an-tro’e ao o mafirikoo, vaho sinao’e iraho.
say you to him, Thus says the Lord; Behold, I pull down those whom I have built up, and I pluck up those whom I have planted.
35 Ee te ho amy Bavele ty hekoheko nanoañe ahy naho amo nofokoo, hoe ty asa’ o mpimone’ i Tsioneo; naho ho amo nte-Kasdio ty lioko, hoe t’Ierosalaime.
And will you seek great things for yourself? seek [them] not: for, behold, I bring evil upon all flesh, says the Lord: but I will give [to you] your life for a spoil in every place whither you shall go.
36 Aa le hoe t’Iehovà, Inao! te hañalañalañe ho azo iraho, naho hampañondrohako ty do’e naho ho maiheko i oñe’ey vaho ho riteko i rano’e migoangoañey.
37 Hanoeñe votre t’i Bavele, lakatom-panaloke, halatsañe naho fikosihañe, tsy amam-pitoetse.
38 Hañaolo hoe liona tora’e iereo; hitromoroñe hoe ana-diona mena.
39 Ie misolebotse ty drao’iareo, le hazotsoko am’iereo ty takataka; hampimamoeko iereo hitsipoñapoña, naho hirota’e firotse kitro-katroke, vaho tsy hivañoñe, hoe t’Iehovà.
40 Hampiambanèko hoe anak’ añondry ho lentañe, hoe añondrilahy naho oselahy.
41 Hete! fa tinavañe ty Sesake, fa nijihetse ty enge’ ty tane bey toy! Akore te fa halatsañe amo fifeheañeo t’i Bavele.
42 Fa nitroare’ i riakey t’i Bavele, nilipore’ ty fitroatroaha’ o onja’eo.
43 Fa mangoakoake o rova’eo, kànkañe i taney naho liolio, tane tsy imoneña’ ondaty, tsy irangà’ ty ana’ ondaty.
44 Toe ho liloveko t’i Bel e Bavele ao, naho hampiakareko am-bava’e ao o nagedra’eo, vaho tsy hikararake mb’ama’e mb’eo ka o fifeheañeo; eka, fa nideboñe ty kijoli’ i Bavele.
45 O ry ondatikoo, mandripaha boak’ama’e ao, mipolitira, songa ondaty mirombaha-piaiñe, ami’ty haviñera’ Iehovà miforoforo.
46 Ko ado’o hifatsike o arofo’ areoo, ko irevendreveñe ty amy tolom-bolañe ho janjiñe amy taney; fa ho pok’eo ty talily bokòke ami’ty taoñe raike, le ty tolom-boetse, an-taon-kafa naho ty fandrakarakañe amy taney ie hifandrapake ami’ty mpifeleke ty mpifehe.
47 Aa le oniño, te ho tondroke ty andro hizakako o sare niatoa’ i Baveleo, naho fonga ho salareñe i tane’ey; vaho hifitafita ama’e ao o aze zinamañeo.
48 Le hisaboe’ i likerañey naho ty tane toy, naho ze hene am’iereo ao, ty Bavele; fa hiambotraha’ o mpamaoke boak’ avaratseo, hoe t’Iehovà.
49 Eka, hikorovoke t’i Bavele ty amo tinomboke e Israeleo, toe nideboñe ty amy Bavele o nihomak’ amy tane iabiio.
50 Ry nahafipoliotse amy fibaray, mandripaha, ko tambatse ao, tiahio t’Iehovà boak’ an-tsietoitane añe, vaho ampiziliho añ’arofo’ areo ao t’Ierosalaime.
51 Salatse zahay fa nahatsanoñ’ inje, manafotse ty tarehe’ay ty hameñarañe; amy te nimoahan’ ambahiny ty toe-masin’ anjomba’ Iehovà.
52 Aa le oniño te ho tondroke ty andro, hoe t’Iehovà, te ho liloveko o sare niatoa’eo; vaho hanitsike i tane’ey ty fitoreova’ o nifereo.
53 Ndra te hitoabotse mb’andikerañe ey t’i Bavele, naho hafatrare’e i tambohon-kaozara’ey, mbe hiboak’ amako, hionjoñe mb’ama’e mb’eo o mpampiantoo, hoe t’Iehovà.
54 Inay ty koeake boak’e Bavele, naho ty harotsahañe jabajaba hirik’an-tane’ o nte-Kasdioo!
55 Fe hampiantoe’ Iehovà t’i Bavele, naho hajihe’e i fikorahañe ama’ey, ie mitroñe hoe rano mitabohazake o onja’ iareoo, i fipoñafa’ ty fivalitaboaham-peo’iareoy;
56 Ie mivotrak’ama’e i mpandrotsakey, amy Bavele, naho ho tsepaheñe o fanalolahi’eo, ho tseraheñe o fale’eo; fa Andrianañahare mpamale fate t’Iehovà, toe hene hondroha’e.
57 Hampimamoeko o roandria’eo naho o mahihi’eo, o mpifeheo naho o mpifelekeo, vaho o fanalolahio; le hirotse firoroan-kitro-katroke, tsy hivañoñe ka, hoe t’i Mpanjaka, Iehovà’ i Màroy ty tahina’e.
58 Hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy: ho vata’e rotsaheñe o kijoly mateve’ i Baveleo; naho ho forototoe’ ty afo o lalam-bei’e mitiotiotseo; aa le tsi-vara ty fitoloña’ ondatio, vaho afo ty himokora’ o fifeheañeo.
59 Ty saontsy nafanto’Iirmeà mpitoky amy Seraia ana’ i Nerià, ana’ i Maseia, ie nindre lia amy Tsidkia mpanjaka’ Iehodà mbe Bavele mb’eo amy taom-paha-efam-pifehea’ey. (Talèm-pañalankañ’ anjomba t’i Seraia.)
60 Fonga sinoki’ Iirmeà am-boke-pelek’ ao o hankàñe hifetsak’ amy Baveleo, o hene entañe sinokitse ty amy Bavele retoañe.
61 Hoe t’Iirmeà amy Seraia: Ie loake e Bavele añe irehe le mahaoniña te ho vakie’o am-peo abo o hene tsara zao,
62 le ano ty hoe, Ihe ry Iehovà, ro nitsara ty amy toetse toy, ty hañitoañe aze, tsy ho amam-pañialo, ndra ondaty ndra hare, f’ie hangoakoake nainai’e kitro-katroke.
63 Ie vaho migadoñe ty famakiañe ty boke toy, le handrohiza’o vato, vaho hahiriri’o añivo’ i Perate ao;
64 le ano ty hoe: Zao ty hilempora’ i Bavele, tsy hitroatse ka, ty amy hankàñe hafetsako ama’e; vaho hitoirañe iereo. Izay ty figadoña’ ty enta’ Iirmeà.
