< Jeremia 32 >
1 Niheo am’ Iirmeà amy taom-paha-folo’ i Tsedkià mpanjaka’ Iehodày, an-taom-paha-folo-valo-ambi’ i Nebokadnetsare, ty tsara’ Iehovà.
This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.
2 Ie amy zay namalavalañe Ierosalaime o lahin-defo’ i mpanjaka’ i Baveleio, vaho hinily an-kiririsa’ o mpigaritseo, añ’anjomba’ i mpanjaka’ Iehoday t’Iirmeà;
Now at that time the king of Babylon’s army was besieging Jerusalem. Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Judah’s house.
3 amy te nagabe’ i Tsidkia, mpanjaka’ Iehodày, ao ami’ty hoe: Ino ty itokia’o ami’ty hoe: Hoe t’Iehovà: Inao! hatoloko am-pità’ ty mpanjaka’ i Bavele ty rova toy vaho ho tavane’e;
For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, “Why do you prophesy, and say, ‘The LORD says, “Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will take it;
4 naho tsy hipolititse am-pità’ o nte-Kasdio t’i Tsidkia mpanjaka’ Iehodà, te mone hasese am-pitàm-panjaka’ i Bavele ao, naho hisaontsy ama’e, falie am-palie, vaho hahaisake o fihaino’eo o fihaino’eo,
and Zedekiah king of Judah won’t escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but will surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and will speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes will see his eyes;
5 le ho tantalie’e mb’e Bavele mb’eo t’i Tsidkia, vaho hadok’ añe ampara’ te tiliheko, hoe t’Iehovà; le tsy hiraorao nahareo naho hialy amo nte-Kasdio.
and he will bring Zedekiah to Babylon, and he will be there until I visit him,” says the LORD, “though you fight with the Chaldeans, you will not prosper”’?”
6 Aa le hoe t’Iirmeà, Niheo amako ty tsara’ Iehovà nanao ty hoe:
Jeremiah said, “The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
7 Ingo homb’ ama’o mb’eo t’i Kanemeale, ana’ i Salome rahalahin-drae’o hanao ty hoe: Vilio ho azo ty tondako e Anatote añe; amy te azo ty zom-pijebañe hañavake aze.
‘Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle will come to you, saying, “Buy my field that is in Anathoth; for the right of redemption is yours to buy it.”’”
8 Aa le niheo amako t’i Kanemeale ana-drahalahin-draeko an-kiririsam-pigaritse ty amy tsara’ Iehovà nanao amako ty hoe: Ehe, kalò i tondako e Anatote aoy, an-tane’ i Beniaminey; amy te azo ty zom-pandova, le azo ty fijebañañe aze, ivilio ho azo. Ie amy zao, napotako te nitsarae’ Iehovà,
“So Hanamel my uncle’s son came to me in the court of the guard according to the LORD’s word, and said to me, ‘Please buy my field that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours. Buy it for yourself.’ “Then I knew that this was the LORD’s word.
9 le viniliko amy Kanemeale ana-drahalahin-draekoy i tonda e Anatotey vaho linanjako ama’e ty drala’e, sekelem-bolafoty folo-fito’ amby.
I bought the field that was in Anathoth of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.
10 Pinateko amy zao i takelakey le liniteko naho nikoike valolombeloñe vaho linanjako ama’e am-balantsy i volafotiy.
I signed the deed, sealed it, called witnesses, and weighed the money in the balances to him.
11 Le rinambeko i takelam-pikaloañey, i linitey rekets’ o fañèo naho o fepè’eo naho i misokakey
So I took the deed of the purchase, both that which was sealed, containing the terms and conditions, and that which was open;
12 vaho natoloko amy Baroke ana’ i Nerià, ana’ i Makseià i takelam-pikaloañey am-pahaisaha’ i Kanemele ana-drahalahin-draekoy, naho añ’atrefa’ o valolombeloñe nanonia’ i takelam-pikaloañeio, vaho aolo’ ze hene nte-Iehodà niambesatse an-kiririsam-pigaritse eo.
and I delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the guard.
13 Le nafantoko añatrefa’ iareo t’i Baroke ami’ty hoe:
“I commanded Baruch before them, saying,
14 Hoe t’Iehovà’ i Màroy, t’i Andrianañahare’ Israele: rambeso o takelam-pikaloañe retoy, o liniteo, naho o takelam-pikaloañe misokakeo, vaho apoho am-po sini-hara ao, hahareta’e andro maro.
the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Take these deeds, this deed of the purchase which is sealed, and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may last many days.’
15 Ami’ty nafè’ Iehovà’ i Màroy, t’i Andrianañahare’ Israele, te: Mbe hikaloañe naho handetahañe an-tane atoy indraike o anjombao, o tondao, vaho o tanem-baheo.
For the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says: ‘Houses and fields and vineyards will yet again be bought in this land.’
16 Aa naho fa natoloko amy Baroke ana’ i Nerià i takelam-pikaloañe rey, le nihalaly am’ Iehovà iraho ami’ty hoe:
Now after I had delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to the LORD, saying,
17 Eka, ry Talè, Iehovà! Toe nitsenè’o an-kaozara’o jabahinake naho am-pità’o natorakitsy i likerañey naho ty tane toy; tsy eo ty sarotse tsy lefe’o;
“Ah Lord GOD! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you.
18 Ihe mpampiboake fiferenaiñañe ami’ty arivo naho mañondroke ty hakeon-droae añ’araña’ o anake manonjohi’ iareoo; ry Andriañahare ra’elahy naho maozatse, Iehovà’ i Màroy ty tahina’e;
You show loving kindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them. The great, the mighty God, the LORD of Armies is your name:
19 foloaingitrok’ am-pañeretañe, manjofak’ am-pitoloñañe; mibolanak’ amo sata’ ondaty iabio o fihaino’oo, songa hanambeza’o mira ami’ty vokam-pitoloña’e;
great in counsel, and mighty in work; whose eyes are open to all the ways of the children of men, to give everyone according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings;
20 ie nampipoha’o viloñe naho raha tsitantane an-tane’ Mitsraime añe, naho pake henane e Israele ao naho am’ondatio, vaho nahazoa’o Tahinañe, le ie henanekeo.
who performed signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even to this day, both in Israel and amongst other men; and made yourself a name, as it is today;
21 Nakare’o am-biloñe naho halatsañe boak’ an-tane Mitsraime añe ondati’oo, am-pitañe maozatse naho an-tsirañe natorakitsy vaho an-karevendreveñañe mampangebahebake;
and brought your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, with wonders, with a strong hand, with an outstretched arm, and with great terror;
22 naho nitolora’o o tane atoio, i nifantà’o an-droae’ iareo hanolorañe iareoy, tane orikorihen-dronono naho tantele;
and gave them this land, which you swore to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey.
23 vaho nimoak’ ao iereo nandrambe aze; f’ie tsy nañaoñe ty fiarañanaña’o naho tsy nañavelo amo Fanoroa’oo; Leo raike ty nanoe’ iareo amo hene nililia’oo; aa le nampifetsaha’o o fonga hekoheko zao;
They came in and possessed it, but they didn’t obey your voice and didn’t walk in your law. They have done nothing of all that you commanded them to do. Therefore you have caused all this evil to come upon them.
24 heheke o tambohoo, fa nimoak’ an-drova atoy o hitavañe azeo; fa natolotse am-pità’ o nte-Kasdy mialy ama’eo ty rova toy; toe fa tondroke i tsinara’o rezay; le hehe te vazoho’o.
“Behold, siege ramps have been built against the city to take it. The city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, of the famine, and of the pestilence. What you have spoken has happened. Behold, you see it.
25 Fe hoe irehe tamako, ry Talè, Iehovà, Ikalò an-drala i tetekey, naho koiho ty valolombeloñe; le hehe fa natolotse am-pità’ o nte-Kasdio ty rova toy.
You have said to me, Lord GOD, ‘Buy the field for money, and call witnesses;’ whereas the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.”
26 Niheo am’Iirmeà amy zao ty tsara’ Iehovà nanao ty hoe;
Then the LORD’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,
27 Ingo te Izaho Iehovà, Andrianañahare’ ze atao nofotse iaby, inoñe ty tsy ho lefeko?
“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?
28 Aa le hoe t’Iehovà: Inao! hatoloko am-pità’ o nte-Kasdio ty rova toy, naho am-pità’ i Nebokadnetsare mpanjaka’ i Bavele, ho tavane’e;
Therefore the LORD says: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will take it.
29 ho mb’ atoy o nte-Kasdy hialy ami’ty rova toio naho hamiañ’ afo ami’ty rova toy vaho ho forototoe’ iereo, rekets’ o anjomba fañenga’ iareo amy Baale an-tafo’e eo, ie nampidoañañ’ enga-rano amo ndrahare ila’eo hampiboseha’ iareo Ahy.
The Chaldeans, who fight against this city, will come and set this city on fire, and burn it with the houses on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger.
30 Toe nitolon-kaloloañe a’ masoko ao, boak’ami’ty naha-tora’e, o ana’ Israeleo naho o ana’ Iehodao, ie nitolom-pampibosek’ ahy ami’ty fitolom-pità’ iareo, hoe t’Iehovà.
“For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done only that which was evil in my sight from their youth; for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, says the LORD.
31 Fa nikai-jaka ami’ty habosehako naho ami’ ty fifomboko boak’ ami’ty nañoreñañ’ aze pake henaneo ty rova toy, toly ndra ho sintoneko boak’ añatrefan-tareheko eo,
For this city has been to me a provocation of my anger and of my wrath from the day that they built it even to this day, so that I should remove it from before my face,
32 ty amo fonga haratia’ o ana’Israeleo naho o ana’ Iehodào, ze nanoe’ iereo hampibosek’ ahy; ie, o mpanjaka’ iareoo, o mpiaolo’ iareoo, o mpisoro’ iareoo naho o mpitoki’ iareoo naho ondati’ Iehodao vaho o mpimone’ Ierosalaimeo.
because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger—they, their kings, their princes, their priests, their prophets, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
33 Ie nampitolihe’ iereo amako ty voho fa tsy ty tarehe; le ndra te nanareko, ie nañampitso naho nañòke, le tsy nañaoñe handrambesa’ iareo fañòhañe.
They have turned their backs to me, and not their faces. Although I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.
34 Fe nado’ iareo amy anjomba tokaveñe ami’ty añarakoy o raha veta’ iareo naniva azeo.
But they set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.
35 Mbore naore’ iereo o haboa’ i Baale am-bavatanen’ ana’ i Hinomeo, hampisorohañ’ amy Moleke o ana-dahi’ iareoo naho o anak’ ampela’ iareoo; ze tsy nandiliako vaho tsy nimoak’ am-pitsakoreako ao t’ie hanao i hativàñe zay; hampanan-kakeo Iehodà.
They built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through fire to Molech, which I didn’t command them. It didn’t even come into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.”
36 Ie amy zao, hoe t’Iehovà Andrianañahare’ Israele, Ty rova toy, ie atao’ areo ty hoe t’ie natolotse am-pità’ i mpanjaka’ i Baveley naho amy fibaray naho amy hasalikoañey vaho amy angorosiy;
Now therefore the LORD, the God of Israel, says concerning this city, about which you say, “It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:”
37 Inao! hatontoko amy ze hene fifeheañe nandroahako iareo ami’ty habosehako naho ami’ty fifomboko naho ami’ty fiforoforoako vaho hampoliko an-toetse atoy, hampimoneñako am-panintsiñañe;
“Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries where I have driven them in my anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them again to this place. I will cause them to dwell safely.
38 le ho ondatiko iereo naho ho Andrianañahare’ iareo iraho;
Then they will be my people, and I will be their God.
39 naho hitolorako arofo tokañe naho lalañe raike, soa t’ie hañeveñe amako nainai’e; an-kasoa ho a iareo naho o ana’ iareo hanonjohio;
I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their good and the good of their children after them.
40 naho hanoako fañina tsy ho modo, tsy hiambohoako, fa ho soaeko; vaho hampipohako fañeveñañe ty an-tro’ iareo ao tsy hiamboho ahy.
I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good. I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me.
41 Eka, hirebehako naho hampiraoraoeko vaho ho volèko an-tanen-katò atoy añ-kaampon-troko naho an-kaliforam-piaiko.
Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.”
42 Le hoe t’Iehovà: Hambañe amy nañendesako o hankàñe jabajaba rezao am’ ondaty retoa, ty hañandesako ze hene hasoa nampitamako.
For the LORD says: “Just as I have brought all this great evil on this people, so I will bring on them all the good that I have promised them.
43 Hikaloañe an-tane atoy o tetekeo, i atao’ areo ty hoe; Mangoakoakey, tsy ama’ ondaty tsy amam-biby; fa natolotse am-pità’ o nte-Kasdio.
Fields will be bought in this land, about which you say, ‘It is desolate, without man or animal. It is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.’
44 Hivily tonda an-drala ondatio, hanokitse naho hamolitomboke takelam-panañan-tane, le hikaike valolombeloñe an-tane’ i Beniamine ao, naho am-paripari’ Ierosalaimeo, naho amo rova’ Iehodào, naho amo rova an-kaboañe añeo, naho amo rova am-bavataneo, vaho amo rova atimoo, amy te hampoliko ty fandrohiza’ iareo, hoe t’Iehovà.
Men will buy fields for money, sign the deeds, seal them, and call witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the places around Jerusalem, in the cities of Judah, in the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South; for I will cause their captivity to be reversed,” says the LORD.
