And Israel journeys, and all that he has, and comes to Beer-Sheba, and sacrifices sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac;
2 Nitsara am’ Israele añ’ aroñaron-kaleñe t’i Andrianañahare nanao ty hoe, O Iakòbe, Iakòbe. Intoy iraho, hoe re.
and God speaks to Israel in visions of the night and says, “Jacob, Jacob”; and he says, “Here I [am].”
3 Le hoe Re, Izaho o Andrianañahareo, t’i Andrianañaharen-drae’o; ko hembañe ami’ty fañaveloa’o mb’e Mitsraime mb’eo amy t’ie hanoeko foko ra’elahy te añe.
And He says, “I [am] God, God of your father, do not be afraid of going down to Egypt, for I set you there for a great nation;

I go down with you to Egypt, and I also certainly bring you up, and Joseph puts his hand on your eyes.”

And Jacob rises from Beer-Sheba, and the sons of Israel carry away their father Jacob, and their infants, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh has sent to carry him,

his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, indeed, all his seed he brought with him into Egypt.
8 Aa le zao o tahinan’ ana’ Israele nandoak’e Mitsraimeo: Iakòbe naho o ana-dahi’eo. I Reòbene tañoloñoloña’ Iakòbe,
And these [are] the names of the sons of Israel who are coming into Egypt: Jacob and his sons, Jacob’s firstborn, Reuben.

And sons of Reuben: Enoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
10 O ana’ i Simoneo: Iemoèle naho Iamìne naho i Ohade naho Iakìne naho i Tsòkare vaho i Saòle ana’ty rakemba nte-Kanàne.
And sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanite.
11 O ana’ i Levio: i Gersòne, i Kehàte naho i Merarý.
And sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
12 O ana’ Iehodào: I Ere naho i Onane naho i Selà naho i Perètse vaho i Zèrake (fe nivetrak’ an-tane Kanàne añe t’i Ere naho i Onane; ) vaho ty ana’ i Perètse: i Ketsrone naho i Kamòle.
And sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perez, and Zerah (and Er and Onan die in the land of Canaan). And sons of Perez are Hezron and Hamul.
13 O ana’ Isakareo: i Tolà, naho i Povà, naho Iòbe vaho i Simròne.
And sons of Issachar: Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.
14 O ana’ i Zebolone: i Sèrede, naho i Elòne vaho Iak’ leèle
And sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
15 (ana’ i Leae iaby irezay, o nasama’e ho a Iakòbe e Padan’ arameo rekets’ i Dinae anak’ ampela’ey, le ni-telo-polo telo amby ty ana-dahi’e miharo anak’ ampela.)
These [are] sons of Leah whom she bore to Jacob in Padan-Aram, and his daughter Dinah; all the persons of his sons and his daughters [are] thirty-three.
16 O ana’ i Gadeo: i Tsifiòne, naho i Kagý, i Soný, naho i Etsbòne, i Erý, naho i Arodý vaho i Arelý.
And sons of Gad: Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
17 O ana’ i Asereo: Iimnà, naho Iisvà, naho Iisvý, naho i Berìa vaho i Sèrake rahavave’ iareo. O ana’ i Berìao: i Kebère naho i Malkièle;
And sons of Asher: Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and their sister Serah. And sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.
18 (irezay ro ana’ i Zilpae, i nomei’ i Labàne amy ana’e Leae vaho nasama’e ho a’ Iakòbe—ondaty folo eneñ’ amby.)
These [are] sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Leah, and she bears these to Jacob—sixteen persons.

Sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
20 Nahatoly i Menasè naho i Efraime an-tane Mitsraime ao t’Iosefe, i nasama’ i Asenate ana’ i Potifera, mpisoro’ i Oney, ho aze rey.
And born to Joseph in the land of Egypt (whom Asenath daughter of Poti-Pherah, priest of On, has borne to him) [are] Manasseh and Ephraim.
21 O ana’ i Beniamineo: i Bèla, naho i Bèkere, naho i Asbèle, i Gerà, naho i Naamàne, i Eký, naho i Ròse, i Mopìme, naho i Khopìme vaho i Arde,
And sons of Benjamin: Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.

These [are] sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob; all the persons [are] fourteen.

And sons of Dan: Hushim.
24 O ana’ i Naftalio: Iaktseèle, naho i Goný, naho Ietsère vaho i Sileme,
And sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
25 (i Bilhae, natolo’ i Labàne amy ana’e Rahkele ty nahatoly irezay ho am’ Iakobe—nitontañe h’ondaty fito).
These [are] sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel; and she bears these to Jacob—all the persons [are] seven.
26 Ze hene ondati’ Iakòbe nitotsake Mitsraime añe, o boak’am-bania’e ao naho tsy o valin’ ana’eo, le ondaty enem-polo eneñ’ amby.
All the persons who are coming to Jacob to Egypt, coming out of his thigh, apart from the wives of Jacob’s sons, all the persons [are] sixty-six.
27 Roe ty ana’ Iosefe nisamake e Mitsraime ao; aa le fitompolo ty an-kasavereña’ Iakòbe nandoake e Mitsraime añe.
And the sons of Joseph who have been born to him in Egypt [are] two persons. All the persons of the house of Jacob who are coming into Egypt [are] seventy.

And Judah he has sent before him to Joseph, to direct before him to Goshen, and they come into the land of Goshen;

and Joseph harnesses his chariot, and goes up to meet his father Israel, to Goshen, and appears to him, and falls on his neck, and weeps on his neck again;

and Israel says to Joseph, “Let me die this time, after my seeing your face, for you [are] yet alive.”

And Joseph says to his brothers, and to the house of his father, “I go up, and declare to Pharaoh, and say to him, My brothers, and the house of my father who [are] in the land of Canaan have come to me;

and the men [are] feeders of a flock, for they have been men of livestock; and their flock, and their herd, and all that they have, they have brought.

And it has come to pass, when Pharaoh calls for you and has said, What [are] your works?

That you have said, Your servants have been men of livestock from our youth, even until now, both we and our fathers, in order that you may dwell in the land of Goshen, for the abomination of the Egyptians is everyone feeding a flock.”
