Salamo 22
1 Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Alaieleth-hasahara. Salamo nataon’ i Davida. Andriamanitra ô, Andriamanitro ô, nahoana no dia mahafoy ahy Hianao? Lavitra ny famonjena ahy ny tenin’ ny fitarainako.
“To the chief musician upon Ayeleth-hashachar, a psalm of David.” My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from saving me, and from the words of my loud complaint?
2 Andriamanitro ô, miantso aho nony andro, nefa tsy mamaly Hianao; ary nony alina, nefa tsy mahita fiononana aho.
O my God! I call in the day-time, but thou answerest not; and in the night I find no rest.
3 Kanefa masìna Hianao, Ry mipetraka eo ambonin’ ny fideran’ ny Isiraely.
But thou art holy, O thou that dwellest amidst the praises of Israel.
4 Hianao no nitokian’ ny razanay; Natoky izy, ka namonjy azy Hianao.
In thee did our fathers trust: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
5 Hianao no nitarainany, ka afaka izy; Hianao no nitokiany, ka tsy menatra izy.
Unto thee they cried, and were delivered: in thee they trusted, and were not put to shame.
6 Ary izaho dia olitra, fa tsy olona, fandatsan’ olona sy fanevatevam-bahoaka.
But I am a worm, and not a man, a reproach of men, and despised of people.
7 Izay rehetra mahita ahy dia manaraby ahy; manondro molotra izy sady mihifikifi-doha ka manao hoe:
All those who see me laugh me to scorn: they draw open their lips, they shake their head, [saying, ]
8 Ankino amin’ i Jehovah, dia aoka Izy hamonjy azy; eny, aoka Izy hanafaka azy, raha mankasitraka azy Izy.
“Let him throw himself on the Lord, that he may deliver him: he will save him, for he delighteth in him.”
9 Fa Hianao no nampivoaka ahy avy tao an-kibo; nampandry ahy fahizay ianao, fony aho mbola nampinonoin’ ny reniko;
Yea, thou art he that took me from the womb: thou hast been my trust when I hung on my mother's breasts.
10 Nankinina taminao hatrany am-bohoka aho; hatrany an-kibon-dreniko dia Andriamanitro Hianao.
Upon thee was I cast from my birth: from my mother's womb art thou my God.
11 Aza manalavitra ahy Hianao, fa akaiky ny fahoriana, sady tsy misy mpamonjy.
Oh be not far from me [now]; for distress is near; for there is none to help.
12 Mitangorona amiko ireo ombilahy be, ny maherin’ i Basana manemitra ahy.
Many steers have encompassed me: the strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
13 Misanasana vava amiko izy; eny, liona mamiravira sy mierona izy.
They have opened wide against me their mouth, [as] a ravenous and roaring lion.
14 Efa rano aidina aho, ka mivaha ny taolako rehetra; tahaka ny savoka ny foko: miempo ato anatiko izy.
Like water am I poured out, and all my bones are disjointed: my heart is become like wax, it is melted in the midst of my entrails.
15 Maina tahaka ny tavim-bilany ny heriko, ary ny lelako miraikitra amin’ ny lanilaniko; ao amin’ ny vovoky ny fahafatesana no ametrahanao ahy.
Like a potsherd is my strength dried up; and my tongue cleaveth to my palate; and into the dust of death hast thou laid me down.
16 Fa mitangorona amiko ny amboa, ny fiangonan’ ny ratsy fanahy manemitra ahy. Manindrona ny tongotro aman-tanako izy
For dogs have encompassed me; the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: like lions [they threaten] my hands and my feet.
17 Mahisa ny taolako rehetra aho ireo dia mibanjina sady mangarika ahy.
I may number all my bones: [while] they stare and look upon me.
18 Mizara ny fitafiako ho azy izy; ary ny akanjoko ilokàny.
They divide my clothes among themselves, and for my garment do they cast lots.
19 Fa Hianao, Jehovah ô, aza manalavitra; ry Heriko ô, faingana hamonjy ahy.
But thou, O Lord, be not far from me: O [thou who art] my strength, hasten to my aid.
20 Vonjeo amin’ ny sabatra ny fanahiko, dia ny hany malalako amin’ ny herin’ ny amboa.
Deliver from the sword my life, from the power of the dog my solitary soul.
21 Vonjeo amin’ ny vavan’ ny liona aho; ary valio ho afaka amin’ ny tandroky ny ombimanga.
Save me from the lion's mouth; as thou hast answered me from the horns of the reem.
22 Hitory ny anaranao amin’ ny rahalahiko aho; eo amin’ ny fiangonana no hideràko Anao.
I will relate thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
23 Hianareo izay matahotra an’ i Jehovah, miderà Azy; ry taranak’ i Jakoba rehetra, manomeza voninahitra Azy; ary matahora Azy, ry Zanak’ Isiraely rehetra.
Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and be in dread of him, all ye the seed of Israel.
24 Fa tsy manao tsinontsinona na marikorikon’ ny fahorian’ ny ory Izy, ary tsy mba manafina ny tavany aminy; fa raha mitaraina aminy ireny, dia mihaino Izy.
For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the poor; neither hath he hidden his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
25 Avy aminao no ahazoako manao fiderana eo amin’ ny fiangonan-dehibe; ny voadiko dia hefaiko eo anatrehan’ izay matahotra an’ i Jehovah.
Of thee shall be my praise in a great assembly: my vows will I pay in the presence of those who fear him.
26 Hihinana ny mpandefitra ka ho voky; hidera an’ i Jehovah izay mitady azy; ho velona mandrakizay anie ny fonareo.
The meek shall eat and be satisfied; they who seek him shall praise the Lord: may your heart live for ever.
27 Hahatsiaro ka hiverina ho amin’ i Jehovah ny faran’ ny tany rehetra; ary hiankohoka eo anatrehanao ny fokon’ ny firenen-tsamy hafa.
All the ends of the world shall remember and return unto the Lord: and all the families of the nations shall bow themselves down before thee.
28 Fa an’ i Jehovah ny fanjakana; ary manapaka amin’ ny firenen-tsamy hafa Izy.
For the kingdom is the Lord's, and he governeth the nations.
29 Hihinana sy hiankohoka ny mpanefoefo rehetra ambonin’ ny tany, eo anatrehany no hiondrehan’ izay rehetra efa hidina any amin’ ny vovoka ka tsy mahavelona ny ainy.
All they that eat the fat of the earth shall bow themselves down; before him shall bend the knee all that are going down into the dust; for none can keep alive his own soul.
30 Hisy taranaka hanompo Azy; ary ny Tompo dia holazaina amin’ ny taranaka ho avy.
Distant ages shall serve him; there shall be related of the Lord unto future generations.
31 Hisy ho avy ka hanambara ny fahamarinany, amin’ ny olona izay mbola hateraka, fa Izy no nanao izany.
They will come, and will tell his righteousness unto a people yet unborn, that he hath done this.
