1 Ary Josoa dia efa zoki-olona sady nandroso fahanterana, dia hoy Jehovah taminy: Efa zoki-olona ianao ka mandroso fahanterana, ary be dia be ny tany sisa tsy mbola azo.

Now Joshua was old, well stricken in years; and the Lord said unto him, Thou art old, stricken in years, and of the land there remaineth yet very much to be taken possession of.

2 Izao no tany sisa tsy mbola azo: Ny tany rehetra an’ ny Filistina sy ny Gesorita rehetra,

This is the land that yet remaineth: All the circles of the Philistines, and all [the land of the] Geshurites,

3 hatrany Sihora, izay atsinanan’ i Egypta, ka hatramin’ ny fari-tanin’ i Elzrona eo avaratra, izay atao ho an’ ny Kananita, ireo andriana dimy amin’ ny Filistina dia ny Gazita sy ny Asdodita sy ny Askelonita sy ny Gatita sy ny Ekronita ary ny Avita

From the Shichor, which runneth before Egypt, even unto the boundary of 'Ekron northward, is counted to the Canaanites; the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazzathites, and the Ashdodites, the Eshkelonites, the Gittites, and the 'Ekronites; also the 'Avvim;

4 any atsimo, dia ny tanin’ ny Kananita rehetra sy Meara, izay an’ ny Sidoniana, hatrany Afeka ka hatramin’ ny fari-tanin’ ny Amorita,

On the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Me'arah that belongeth to the Zidonians, up to Aphek, up to the border of the Emorites;

5 ary ny tanin’ ny Gebalita sy Libanona rehetra any atsinanana, hatrany Bala-gada eo am-bodin’ ny tendrombohitra Hermona ka hatrany akaikin’ i Hamata,

And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the rising of the sun, from Ba'al-gad under mount Chermon up to the entrance of Chamath.

6 ary ny mponina rehetra any amin’ ny tany havoana hatrany Libanona ka hatrany Misrefota-mamia, dia ny Sidoniana rehetra, Izaho no handroaka kanefa zarao amin’ ny filokana ho lovan’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely izy araka izay efa nandidiako anao.

All the inhabitants of the mountain from Lebanon unto Missrephoth-mayim, all the Zidonians: these will I drive out from before the children of Israel; only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

7 Ary ankehitriny zarao izao tany izao ho lovan’ ny firenena sivy sy ny antsasaky ny firenen’ i Manase.

And now divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Menasseh.

8 Ary niaraka tamin’ ireo koa no nahazoan’ ny Robenita sy ny Gadita ny lovany, dia ilay nomen’ i Mosesy azy any an-dafy atsinanan’ i Jordana, araka izay nomen’ i Mosesy, mpanompon’ i Jehovah, azy,

With him the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave unto them, beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of the Lord hath given them;

9 dia hatrany Aroera, izay eo amoron’ ny lohasahan-driaka Arnona, ary ny tanàna izay eo afovoan’ ny lohasaha sy ny tany lemaka rehetra any Medeba ka hatrany Dibona,

From 'Aro'er, that is upon the bank of the brook Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the brook, and all the plain of Medeba up to Dibon;

10 ary ny tanàna rehetra izay an’ i Sihona, mpanjakan’ ny Amorita, izay nanjaka tany Hesbona, hatramin’ ny faritanin’ ny taranak’ i Amona,

And all the cities of Sichon the king of the Emorites, who reigned over Cheshbon, up to the border of the children of 'Ammon;

11 ary Gileada sy ny tanin’ ny Gesorita sy ny Makatita sy ny tendrombohitra Hermona rehetra ary Basana rehetra hatrany Saleka,

And Gil'ad, and the territory of the Geshurites and Ma'achathites, and all mount Chermon, and all Bashan up to Salchah;

12 dia ny fanjakana rehetra an’ i Oga tany Basana, izay nanjaka tany Astarta sy Edrehy (izy ihany no sisa tamin’ ny Refaïta); fa resin’ i Mosesy ireny ka noroahiny.

All the kingdom of 'Og in Bashan, who reigned in 'Ashtaroth and in Edre'i; who had been left of the remnant of the Rephaim; and Moses smote them, and cast them out.

13 Kanefa tsy mba noroahin’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely ny Gesorita sy ny Makatita; fa mitoetra eo amin’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely mandraka androany ny Gesorita sy ny Makatita.

Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites; but the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites continued to dwell in the midst of the Israelites until this day.

14 Ny firenen’ i Levy ihany no tsy nomeny lova; ny fanatitra atao amin’ ny afo ho an’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, no lovany araka izay nolazainy taminy.

Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance: the fire-offerings of the Lord, the God of Israel, are their inheritance, as he hath spoken unto them.

15 Ary nomen’ i Mosesy lova ny firenena taranak’ i Robena araka ny fokony

And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their families;

16 Ary ny fari-taniny dia hatrany Aroera, izay eo amoron’ ny lohasahan-driaka Arnona, ary ny tanàna izay eo afovoan’ ny lohasaha sy ny tany lemaka rehetra any Medeba,

And their territory was from 'Aro'er, that is on the bank of the brook Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the brook, and all the plain by Medeba;

17 dia Hesbona sy ny tanànany rehetra, izay eo amin’ ny tany lemaka, sy Dibona sy Bamotabala sy Beti-bala-meona

Cheshbon, and all its cities that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamoth-ba'al, and Beth-ba'al-me'on,

18 sy Jahaza sy Kedemota sy Mefata

And Yahzah, and Kedemoth, and Mepha'ath,

19 sy Kiria-taima sy Sibma sy Zareta-sahara amin’ ny tendrombohitra ao an-dohasaha,

And Kiryathayim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-hashachar on the mount of the valley,

20 sy Beti-peora sy ny ao am-bodin’ i Pisga ary Beti-jesimota

And Beth-pe'or, and the declivities of Pisgah, and Beth-hayeshimoth,

21 ary ny tanàna rehetra any amin’ ny tany lemaka sy ny fanjakana rehetra an’ i Sihona, mpanjakan’ ny Amorita, izay nanjaka tany Hesbona fa resin’ i Mosesy izy sy ireo andrianan’ ny Midianita, dia Evy sy Rekema sy Zora sy Hora ary Reba, andriana izay nanoa an’ i Sihona ka nitoetra teo amin’ ny tany.

And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sichon the king of the Emorites, who reigned in Cheshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Chur, and Reba', the dukes of Sichon, the dwellers of the country.

22 Ary Balama, mpanao fankatovana, zanak’ i Beora, dia novonoin’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely tamin’ ny sabatra niaraka tamin’ izay novonoiny.

And Bil'am the son of Be'or, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among their slain.

23 Ary ny fari-tanin’ ny taranak’ i Robena dia ny amoron’ i Jordana. Izay no lovan’ ny taranak’ i Robena araka ny fokony, dia ny tanàna sy ny zana-bohiny.

And the boundary of the children of Reuben was the Jordan, and its bordering territory. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities and their villages.

24 Ary nomen’ i Mosesy koa ny firenen’ i Gada, dia ny taranak’ i Gada araka ny fokony.

And Moses gave unto the tribe of Gad, unto the children of Gad according to their families;

25 Ary ny faritaniny dia Jazera sy ny tanàna rehetra any Gileada ary ny antsasaky ny tanin’ ny taranak’ i Amona, hatrany Aroera, izay tandrifin’ i Raba,

And their territory was Ya'zer, and all the cities of Gil'ad, and half the land of the children of 'Ammon, up to 'Aro'er that is before Rabbah;

26 ary hatrany Hesbona ka hatrany Ramatamizpa sy Betonima ary hatrany Mahanaima ka hatramin’ ny faritanin’ i Debira;

And from Cheshbon unto Ramath-mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Machanayim up to the border of Debir;

27 ary teo amin’ ny lohasaha Beti-harama sy Beti-nimra sy Sokota sy Zafona ary ny sisa tamin’ ny fanjakan’ i Sihona, mpanjakan’ i Hesbona, sy ny amoron’ i Jordana hatramin’ ny amoron’ ny Ranomasina Kinereta an-dafy atsinanan’ i Jordana.

And in the valley, Beth-haram, and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sichon the king of Cheshbon, the Jordan and its bordering territory, up to the edge of the sea of Kinnereth on the other side of the Jordan eastward.

28 Izany no lovan’ ny taranak’ i Gada araka ny fokony, dia ny tanàna sy ny zana-bohiny.

This is the inheritance of the children of Gad after their families, the cities and their villages.

29 Ary nomen’ i Mosesy koa ny antsasaky ny firenen’ i Manase; ary izao no an’ ny antsasaky ny firenena taranak’ i Manase araka ny fokony:

And Moses gave unto the half tribe of Menasseh; and it belonged to the half tribe of the children of Menasseh after their families;

30 Ny fari-taniny hatrany Mahanaima, dia Basana rehetra, izay fanjakana rehetra an’ i Oga, mpanjakan’ i Basana, ary ny tanàna madinika rehetra an’ i Jaïra, izay any Basana, dia tanàna enim-polo.

And their territory was from Machanayim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of 'Og the king of Bashan, and all the villages of Ya'ir, which are in Bashan, sixty cities;

31 Ary ny antsasak’ i Gileada sy Astarta ary Edrehy, tanàna amin’ ny fanjakan’ i Oga any Basana, dia an’ ny taranak’ i Makira, zanak’ i Manase, dia ho an’ ny antsasaky ny taranak’ i Makira araka ny fokony.

And half Gil'ad and 'Ashtaroth, and Edre'i, the cities of the kingdom of 'Og in Bashan, [belonged] unto the children of Machir the son of Menasseh, even to the one half of the children of Machir after their families.

32 Ireo no voazaran’ i Mosesy ho lova tany Arbota-moaba an-dafy atsinanan’ i Jordana tandrifin’ i Jeriko.

These are they to whom Moses did distribute an inheritance in the plans of Moab, on the other side of the Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.

33 Ary ny firenen’ i Levy tsy mba nomen’ i Mosesy lova; fa Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, no lovany, araka izay efa nolazainy taminy.

But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not any inheritance: the Lord the God of Israel is himself their inheritance, as he hath spoken unto them.
