< Isaia 26 >
1 Amin’ izany andro izany dia hohiraina eto amin’ ny tanin’ ny Joda izao fihirana izao: Manana tanàna mafy isika; Famonjena no hotendren’ i Jehovah ho manda sy fiarovana.
On that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: A strong city have we; his aid will he grant [us] as walls and defence.
2 Vohay ny vavahady, mba hidiran’ ny firenena marina, izay mitana ny fahamarinana.
Open ye the gates, that there may enter in the righteous nation which guardeth the truth.
3 Ny saina tsy miovaova dia harovanao ao amin’ ny fiadanana tanteraka, satria matoky Anao izy.
The confiding mind wilt thou keep in perfect peace; because he trusteth in thee.
4 Matokia an’ i Jehovah mandrakizay, fa Jehovah Tompo no Vatolampy mandrakizay.
Trust ye in the Lord unto eternity; for in Yah the Lord is everlasting protection.
5 Fa naetriny ny mponina avo toerana; Ny tanàna avo dia arodany, eny, arodany ho amin’ ny tany ka: azerany ho amin’ ny vovoka.
For he bendeth down the dwellers of the height; the lofty fortress—he layeth it low; he layeth it low, along the ground; he casteth it down to the dust.
6 Hitsahin’ ny tongotra izy, dia ny tongotry ny ory sy ny faladian’ ny mahantra.
The foot shall tread it down, the feet of the poor, the steps of the needy.
7 Voaravona ny lalan’ ny marina: Eny, aravonao ho marina indrindra ny alehan’ ny marina.
The path of the just is straight: thou, most upright, dost ever level the road of the just.
8 Koa amin’ ny lalan’ ny fitsaranao, Jehovah ô, no iandrasanay Anao, ny anaranao sy ny fahatsiarovana Anao no irin’ ny fanahinay.
Yea, on the path of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for thee; for thy name, and for the remembrance of thee, was the longing of our soul.
9 Amin’ ny fanahiko no aniriako Anao nony alina; Eny, ny saiko ato anatiko no itadiavako Anao fatratra; Fa raha mamely ny tany ny fitsaranao, dia mianatra fahamarinana ny mponina amin’ izao tontolo izao.
In my soul have I longed for thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek for thee; for when thy judgments are [sent] on the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
10 Na dia asiana soa aza ny ratsy fanahy, tsy mety mianatra fahamarinana izy; Eny, na dia ao amin’ ny tanin’ ny fahamarinana aza izy, mbola manao meloka ihany ka tsy mety mijery ny fahalehibiazan’ i Jehovah.
If favor be shown to the wicked, he will not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not regard the majesty of the Lord.
11 Jehovah ô, avo ny tananao, nefa tsy jeren’ ireo; Tsy maintsy hojereny ihany anefa ny fahasaro-piaronao amin’ ny olonao, ka ho menatra izy; Eny, afo no handevona ny fahavalonao.
Lord, thy hand was raised high, but they would not see: oh that they might see, and be ashamed, [thy] zeal for the people; yea, the fire which shall devour them—thy enemies.
12 Jehovah ô, manorina fiadanana ho anay Hianao: Fa ny asanay rehetra dia tanterahinao ho anay.
Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us; for also all our works hast thou accomplished for us.
13 Jehovah Andriamanitray ô, tsy Hianao ihany no efa nampanompo anay, fa tompo hafa koa; Nefa Hianao irery ihany no ahazoanay mankalaza ny anaranao.
O Lord our God, lords have had dominion over us beside thee; [but] of thee only would we make mention, —of thy name.
14 Ny maty tsy ho velona intsony, ny matoatoa tsy mba hitsangana; Fa novalianao izy ka naringanao, sady nolevoninao avokoa ny fahatsiarovana azy.
[They are] dead, they will not live [again]; [they are] departed, they will not rise [again]; therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made to perish every memorial of them.
15 Nampitombo ny firenena Hianao, Jehovah ô, Eny, nampitombo ny firenena Hianao ka nahazo voninahitra ho Anao; Nitarinao halalaka avokoa ny faritry ny tany.
Thou hast done more for the nation, O Lord, thou hast done more for the nation; thou hast glorified thyself: thou hast enlarged all the ends of the earth.
16 Jehovah ô, nony azom-pahoriana izy, dia nitady Anao; Nony niharan’ ny famaizanao izy, dia nanao vavaka anakampo.
Lord, in trouble have they sought thee, they poured out earnest prayers when thy chastening was upon them.
17 Tahaka izay bevohoka efa madiva hiteraka ka miolanolana sy mitaraina noho ny faharariany, dia tahaka izany izahay teo imasonao, Jehovah ô,
Like as a pregnant woman, that is near giving birth, is in pain, [and] crieth out in her pangs: so have we been in thy presence, O Lord.
18 Efa bevohoka izahay, efa nihetsi-jaza izahay, Efa tahaka ny nitera-drivotra izahay; Tsy nahavita famonjena ho an’ ny tany izahay, ka tsy niteraka ny mponina amin’ izao tontolo izao.
We have been pregnant and in pain, [but it was] as though we brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the land; and the inhabitants of the world have not fallen.
19 Ho velona indray ny olonao izay efa maty, ny fatin’ ny oloko hitsangana; Koa mifohaza sy mihobia, ianareo izay mandry ao amin’ ny vovoka; Fa ny andonao dia tahaka ny andon’ ny fahazavana, ary ny tany hiteraka ny maty.
Thy dead shall live, my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing ye, that dwell in the dust; for a dew on herbs is thy dew, and the earth shall cast out the departed.
20 Mandehana, ry oloko, midìra ao amin’ ny efi-tranonao, ary mirindrina varavarana ianao, ka miere kely indray mipi-maso monja Mandra-pahalasan’ ny fahatezerana.
Go, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy door behind thee: hide thyself but for a little moment, until the indignation be passed away.
21 Fa, indro, Jehovah mivoaka avy amin’ ny fitoerany hamaly ny mponina amin’ ny tany noho ny helony; Ary ny tany hampiseho ny rà izay nofohiny ka tsy hanafina intsony izay novonoina teo aminy.
For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to visit the iniquity of the inhabitants of the earth on them: and the earth shall disclose her blood, and shall no more be a cover over her slain.
