< Isaia 23 >

1 Faminaniana ny amin’ ny loza hanjo an’ i Tyro. Midradradradrà ianareo, ry sambon’ i Tarsisy ô! Fa rava Tyro, ka tsy misy trano sady tsy azo idirana intsony ao; Avy tany amin’ ny tany Kitima no nanambarana izany taminy.
The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in: from the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.
2 Mangìna, ianareo mponina amoron-tsiraka! Ny mpandranto avy any Sidona, Izay mandeha eny ambonin’ ny ranomasina, no efa nampanan-karena anao.
Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle; thou whom the merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.
3 Teny amin’ ny rano be ny varin’ i Sihora, dia ny vokatr’ i Neily, ka nampiditra harena ho azy; Ary tonga tsenan’ ny firenena izy.
And by great waters the seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river, [is] her revenue; and she is a mart of nations.
4 Aoka ho menatra ianao, ry Sidona; Fa ny ranomasina, dia ny fiarovana mafy ao an-dranomasina, efa niteny hoe: Tsy mbola nihetsi-jaza aho, na niteraka, tsy mbola nitaiza zatovo aho, na namelona virijina.
Be thou ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, [even] the strength of the sea, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish young men, [nor] bring up virgins.
5 Rehefa re tany Egypta izany, Dia toran-kovitra izy noho ny nanjo an’ i Tyro.
As at the report concerning Egypt, [so] shall they be sorely pained at the report of Tyre.
6 Mità ho any Tarsisy ianareo; Midradradradrà, ry mponina amoron-tsiraka.
Pass ye over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the isle.
7 Izao va no manjo anao, ry ilay niravoravo, izay efa naorina hatry ny fony fahagola sady nentin’ ny tongony hivahiny any lavitra any?
[Is] this your joyous [city], whose antiquity [is] of ancient days? her own feet shall carry her far off to sojourn.
8 Iza no nikasa izany hamelezana an’ i Tyro, mpanome satro-boninahitra, izany? Mpanapaka ny mpandrantony, Olo-malaza amin’ ny tany ny mpivarony.
Who hath taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning [city], whose merchants [are] princes, whose traders [are] the honorable of the earth?
9 Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, no nikasa izany, mba hampietreny ny fiavonavonan’ ny voninahitra rehetra, sy hanalany ny voninahitry ny olo-malaza rehetra amin’ ny tany.
The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, [and] to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.
10 Ry Tarsisy zanakavavy, aoka ianao hanafotra ny taninao tahaka an’ i Neily; Fa tsy misy fifehezana intsony.
Pass through thy land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: [there is] no more strength.
11 Ny tànan’ i Jehovah nahifiny tambonin’ ny ranomasina; Nampihorohoroiny ny fanjakana; Jehovah efa nandidy ny amin’ i Kanana, mba horavana ny fiarovany mafy.
He stretched his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD hath given a commandment against the merchant [city], to destroy its strong holds.
12 Ary hoy Izy: Tsy hiravoravo intsony ianao, ry virijina afa-baraka, Sidona zanakavavy; Miaingà, mità ho any Kitima; Kanefa na dia any aza tsy hahita fitsaharana tsy akory ianao.
And he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also shalt thou have no rest.
13 Indro ny tanin’ ny Kaldeana! Tsy firenena intsony izy, fa nataon’ ny Asyriana fonenan’ ny bibi-dia any an-efitra; Manao tilikambo fitiliana izy ka mandrava ny lapan’ ny mpanjaka ao ary mampody azy ho korontam-bato.
Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, [till] the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up its towers, they raised up its palaces; [and] he brought it to ruin.
14 Midradradradrà ianareo, ry sambon’ i Tarsisy ô! Fa rava ny fiarovanareo mafy.
Howl, ye ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste.
15 Ary amin’ izany andro izany dia hohadinoina fito-polo taona Tyro, toy ny andron’ ny mpanjaka iray; Ary rehefa afaka fito-polo taona, Tyro dia hiharan’ ilay tonon-kalon’ ny janga manao hoe:
And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as a harlot.
16 “Makà lokanga, ka miveziveze eran’ ny tanàna ianao, ry kala janga hadino; Mitendre tsara, ka mahereza mivazovazo, mba hahatsiarovana anao.”
Take a harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
17 Ary rehefa afaka fito-polo taona, Jehovah hamangy an’ i Tyro, ka dia hiverina amin’ ny filan-tangy izy sy hijangajanga amin’ ny fanjakana rehetra manerana izao tontolo izao.
And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
18 Ary ny varony sy ny tangy azony dia hohamasinina ho an’ i Jehovah; Tsy hotehirizina na horaketina izany; Fa ny varony dia ho an’ izay mitoetra eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah, ho hanina mahavoky sy ho fitafiana mendrika.
And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, for sufficient food, and for durable clothing.
