1 Ary niainga Isiraely nitondra izay rehetra nananany ka nankany Beri-sheba, dia namono zavatra hatao fanatitra ho an’ Andriamanitr’ Isaka rainy izy.
So Israel brake up, with all that he had, and came in to Beer-sheba, —and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.
2 Ary Andriamanitra niteny tamin’ Isiraely tao amin’ ny fahitana nony alina ka nanao ho: Ry Jakoba, ry Jakoba ô! Ary hoy kosa izy: Inty aho.
And God said to Israel in the visions of the night, and he said—Jacob! Jacob! And he said—Behold me!
3 Dia hoy Izy: Izaho no Andriamanitra, dia Andriamanitry ny rainao; aza matahotra hidina any Egypta ianao, fa hataoko firenena lehibe any ianao.
And he said: I, am GOD himself, the God of thy father, —Be not afraid of going down to Egypt, seeing that for a great nation, will I plant thee there.
4 Izaho hiara-midìna aminao ho any Egypta; ary Izaho hitondra anao hiakatra indray tokoa ary ny tànan’ i Josefa no hanirina ny masonao.
I will go down with thee to Egypt, and I will bring thee up, yea wholly up, —and, Joseph, shall lay his own hand upon thine eyes.
5 Dia niainga Jakoba ka niala tao Beri-sheba; ary ny zanak’ Isiraely nitondra an’ i Jakoba rainy sy ny zanany madinika ary ny vadiny teo anatin’ ny sariety, izay efa nampitondrain’ i Farao hitondrana azy.
So Jacob rose up from Beer-sheba, —and the sons of Israel brought Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the waggons which Pharaoh had sent to bring him;
6 Ary nentin’ izy ireo ny omby aman’ ondriny sy ny fananany, izay efa nohariny tany amin’ ny tany Kanana, dia tonga tany Egypta Jakoba sy ny zanany rehetra nomba azy:
and they took their cattle and the gains which they had gained in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, —Jacob and all his seed with him:

his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and all his seed, brought he with him into Egypt.
8 Ary izao no anaran’ ny zanak’ Isiraely izay tonga tany Egypta, dia Jakoba sy ny zananilahy:
Now, these, are the names of the sons of Israel who came into Egypt—Jacob and his sons, —the firstborn of Jacob, Reuben:
9 Robena, lahimatoan’ i Jakoba. Ary ny zanakalahin-dRobena dia Hanoka sy Palo sy Hezrona ary Karmy
And, the sons of Reuben, —Hanoch and Pallu, and Hezron and Carmi;
10 Ary ny zanakalahin’ i Simeona dia Jemoela sy Jamina sy Ohada sy Jakina sy Zohara ary Saoly, zanakalahin’ ny vehivavy Kananita.
And, the sons of Simeon, —Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and Jachin and Zohar, —and Shaul, son of the Canaanitess;
11 Ary ny zanakalahin’ i Levy dia Gersona sy Kehata atỳ Merary.
And the sons of Levi, —Gershon, Kohath and Merari;
12 Ary ny zanakalahin’ i Joda dia Era sy Onana sy Sela sy Fareza ary Zera; ary Era sy Onana anefa dia maty tany amin’ ny tany Kanana ihany. Ary ny zanakalahin’ i Fareza dia Hezrona sy Hamola.
And the sons of Judah, —Er and Onan and Shelah, and Perez and Zerah, —but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan, and the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul;
13 Ary ny zanakalahin’ Isakara dia Tola sy Pova sy Joba ary Simrona.
And, the sons of Issachar, —Tola and Puvah, and Iob and Shimron;
14 Ary ny zanakalahin’ i Zebolona dia Sereda sy Elona ary Jahalela.
And the sons of Zebulon, —Sered and Elon, and Jahleel.
15 lreo no zanakalahin’ i Lea izay naterany tamin’ i Jakoba tany Mesopotamia, ary Dina zananivavy; ny isan’ ny zananilahy rehetra mbamin’ ny zananivavy dia telo amby telo-polo.
These, are the sons of Leah whom she bare to Jacob in Padan-aram, with Dinah also his daughter, —All the souls of his sons and of his daughters, were thirty-three.
16 Ary ny zanakalahin’ i Gada dia Zifiona sy Hagy sy Sony sy Ezbona sy Erỳ sy Aroda ary Arely.
And, the sons of Gad, —Zaphon and Haggi, Shuni and Ezbon, —Eri and Arodi and Areli;
17 Ary ny zanak’ i Asera dia Jimna sy Jisva sy Jisvy sy Beria ary Sera, anabavin’ ireo; ary ny zanakalahin’ i Beria dia Hebera sy Malkiela.
And, the sons of Asher, —Imnah and Ishvah and Ishvi and Beriah, and Serah their sister, —and the sons of Beriah, Heber and Malchiel.
18 Ireo no zanak’ i Zilpa, izay nomen’ i Labana an’ i Lea zananivavy, ary ireo no naterany tamin’ i Jakoba, dia enina ambin’ ny folo izy.
These, are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, —so she bare these to Jacob, —sixteen souls.
19 Ny zanakalahin-dRahely, vadin’ i Jakoba dia Josefa sy Benjamina.
The sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife, —Joseph and Benjamin;
20 Ary ny zanakalahin’ i Asenata, zanakavavin’ i Poti-fera, mpisorona tao Ona, izay naterak’ i Josefa tany amin’ ny tany Egypta, dia Manase sy Efraima.
And there were born to Joseph in the land of Egypt, whom Asenath daughter of Poti-phera, priest of On, bare to him: Manasseh and Ephraim;
21 Ary ny zanakalahin’ i Benjamina dia Bela sy Bakera sy Asbela sy Gera sy Namana sy Ehy sy Rosy sy Mopima sy Hopima ary Arda.
And the sons of Benjamin—Bela and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera and Naaman, Ehi and Rosh, —Muppim and Huppim, and Ard.
22 Ireo no zanakalahin-dRahely, izay naterany tamin’ i Jakoba; efatra ambin’ ny folo ny isan’ izy rehetra.
These, are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob, —all the souls, were fourteen.
23 Ary ny zanakalahin’ i Dana dia Hosima.
And, the sons of Dan, —Hushim;
24 Ary ny zanakalahin’ i Naftaly dia Jaziela sy Gony sy Jezera ary Silema.
And the sons of Naphtali, —Jahzeel and Guni, and Jezer and Shillem.
25 Ireo no zanakalahin’ i Bila, izay nomen’ i Labana an-dRahely zananivavy, ary ireo no naterak’ i Jakoba; fito no isan’ izy rehetra.
These, are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter, —so she bare these to Jacob, —all the souls, were seven.
26 Ny isan’ izay rehetra nankany Egypta niaraka tamin’ i Jakoba, dia izay naloaky ny kibony, afa-tsy ny vadin’ ny zanakalahin’ i Jakoba dia enina amby enim-polo.
All the souls that came in with Jacob to Egypt that had come forth of his loins, besides Jacob’s sons’ wives, —all the souls, were sixty-six;
27 Ary ny zanakalahin’ i Josefa, izay naterany tany Egypta, dia roa lahy; ny isan’ ny terak’ i Jakoba rehetra, izay tonga tany Egypta, dia fito-polo.
and, the sons of Joseph who were born to him in Egypt, were two souls: All the souls of the house of Jacob that came into Egypt, were seventy.
28 Ary Joda nirahiny nialoha azy hankany amin’ i Josefa mba hanoro lalana azy ho any Gosena; dia tonga tany amin’ ny tany Gosena izy.
And he sent, Judah, before him unto Joseph, to direct his face to Goshen, —so they came in towards the land of Goshen.
29 Ary Josefa nampanamboatra ny kalesiny, dia niakatra hitsena an’ Isiraely rainy tany Gosena izy; ary raha niseho taminy izy, dia namihina ny vozony ka nitomany ela teo amin’ ny vozony.
Then yoked Joseph his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father towards Goshen, —and he appeared unto him, and fell upon his neck, and wept upon his neck a good while.
30 Ary hoy Isiraely tamin’ i Josefa: Aoka ho faty amin’ izao aho, satria efa hitako ny tavanao, fa mbola velona ihany ianao.
Then said Israel unto Joseph I am ready to die at last, —now that I have seen thy face, in that thou art, yet alive.
31 Ary hoy Josefa tamin’ ny rahalahiny sy ny ankohonan’ ny rainy: Hiakatra aho hilaza amin’ i Farao ka hanao aminy hoe: Ny rahalahiko sy ny ankohonan’ ny raiko, izay tany amin’ ny tany Kanana, dia efa tonga atỳ amiko.
Then said Joseph unto his brethren and unto the house of his father, I must go up, and must tell Pharaoh—and must say unto him, My brethren, and the house of my father, who were in the land of Canaan, have come in unto me.
32 Ary mpiandry ondry ireo lehilahy ireo, fa mpiompy omby aman’ ondry izy; ary ny ondry aman’ osiny sy ny ombiny mbamin’ izay rehetra ananany dia nentiny avokoa.
Now, the men, are feeders of flocks, for men of cattle, they are, —and their flocks and their herds and all that they have, have they brought in.

So shall it come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call for you, —and shall say—What is your occupation?
34 dia izao no havalinareo: Miompy omby aman’ ondry no raharaha fanaon’ ny mpanomponao, hatry ny fony vao zaza ka ambaraka ankehitriny, dia izahay sy ny razanay koa mba hahazoanareo monina ao amin’ ny tany Gosena, satria fahavetavetana amin’ ny Egyptiana ny mpiandry ondry rehetra.
Then shall ye say—Men of cattle, have thy servants been from our youth even until now, both we and our fathers, —To the end ye may dwell in the land of Goshen, for an abomination to Egyptians, is every feeder of a flock,
