< Ezekiela 12 >
1 Ary tonga tamiko ny tenin’ i Jehovah nanao hoe:
Yahweh gave me another message. [He said, ]
2 Ry zanak’ olona, ianao monina eto amin’ ny taranaka maditra, izay mana-maso hahitana, nefa tsy mahita, ary manan-tsofina handrenesana, nefa tsy mandre fa taranaka maditra izy.
“You human, you are living among people who are [very] rebellious. They have eyes, but they do not [what I want them to see]; they have ears, but they do not [what I want them to hear], because they are rebellious/stubborn people.
3 Koa ianao, ry zanak’ olona, mifeheza entana handeha hifindra ho any amin’ ny fahababoana, ka miaingà antoandro eo imasony; ary mialà eo imasony eo amin’ izay itoeranao ho any amin’ ny fitoerana hafa; angamba mba ho fantany fa taranaka maditra izy.
Therefore, you human, pack your belongings as though you were (going into exile/being forced to go to another country). Then, during the daytime, while people are watching, [prepare to] go to another place. Even though the people are rebellious, perhaps they will [what you are symbolizing].
4 Dia havoakanao antoandro eo imasony ny entanao, toy ny entan’ ny olona handeha ho any amin’ ny fahababoana; fa ny tenanao kosa dia hivoaka hariva eo imasony toy ny fivoaky ny handeha ho any amin’ ny fahababoana.
During the daytime, while they are watching, bring out the things that you want to take and pack them. Then in the evening, while they are watching, do what those who are preparing to go into exile do.
5 Boroboahy eo imasony ny manda, ka ao no amoahy ny entanao.
Dig through [city] wall and take your things through the hole.
6 Ataovy an-tsoroka eo imasony no fitondranao azy, ka ento mivoaka, rehefa maizina dia maizina ny andro; sarony ny tavanao mba tsy hahitanao ny tany; fa efa nataoko ho famantarana mahagaga ho an’ ny taranak’ Isiraely ianao.
Then put [in a sack] on your shoulder while they are watching and leave at dusk. Cover your face in order that you cannot see the path. [I want you to do this] because I want you to warn the Israeli people.”
7 Dia nanao araka izay efa nandidiana ahy aho, ka nentiko nivoaka antoandro ny entako, toy py entan’ ny olona handeha ho any amin’ ny fahababoana, ary nony hariva dia noboroboahako tamin’ ny tanako ny manda, ka nony efa maizina dia maizina ny andro, dia nentiko nivoaka izany ka teny an-tsoroka no nitondrako azy teo imasony.
[So] I did what Yahweh told me to do. During the day I brought things out of my [as though] I was packing to go into exile. Then in the evening I dug through [city] wall. [Then] while people watched, I put my sack of belongings on my shoulder and left.
8 Ary nony maraina dia tonga tamiko ny tenin’ i Jehovah nanao hoe:
The next morning, Yahweh gave me this message:
9 Ry zanak’ olona, moa ny taranak’ Isiraely, izay taranaka maditra, tsy manontany aminao hoe va: Inona izao ataonao izao?
“You human, the rebellious people [MTY] of Israel asked you, ‘What are you doing?’
10 Ambarao aminy hoe: Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah Tompo: Ity faminaniana ny loza ity dia ho amin’ ny mpanjakan’ i Jerosalema sy ny taranak’ Isiraely rehetra izay ao aminy.
[So go back and] say to them, ‘What I did is about the king in Jerusalem and all the [other] people of Israel who are there.’
11 Lazao hoe: Izaho dia famantarana mahagaga ho anareo, koa tahaka izay ataoko no hatao amin’ ireo; hifindra sy ho lasan-ko babo izy.
Tell [them], ‘[What I did] is a warning to you.’ What has happened to you will happen to them. They will be captured and forced to go to another country.
12 Ary ny mpanjaka, izay ao aminy dia hitondra ny entany eny an-tsorony nony efa maizina dia maizina ny andro ka hivoaka; hoboroboahan’ ny olona ny manda hamoahana azy; hanarona ny tavany izy mba tsy ho hitan’ ny masony ny tany.
Their king will put his belongings on his shoulder at dusk and leave. [His servants] will dig a hole through the city wall, [and he will take his belongings] through it. He will cover his face in order [others will not recognize] him.
13 Ary ny fandrika haratoko dia hovelariko aminy, ka ho voan’ ny fandrika izy; dia ho entiko any Babylona any amin’ ny tanin’ ny Kaldeana izy, ary tsy hahita izany, nefa ho faty any ihany.
[it will be as though] I will spread a net for [to be captured]; [enemy soldiers will] capture him and take him to [city]. But he will [be able to] see it; and there he will die.
14 Ary izay rehetra manodidina azy, dia ny mpanampy azy sy ny miaramilany rehetra, haeliko ho amin’ ny rivotra rehetra, sady hanatsoaka sabatra ho enti-manenjika azy Aho.
I will scatter in all directions [IDM] all those who have been around him—his advisors and his soldiers—and I will cause his enemies to pursue them, with their swords ready to strike them.
15 Ary dia ho fantany fa Izaho no Jehovah, raha ahahako any amin’ ny jentilisa sy ampieleziko any amin’ ny tany samy hafa izy.
Then, when I scatter them among many nations [DOU], they will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].
16 Nefa hamelako olom-bitsy ihany izy ho sisa tsy ho ringan’ ny sabatra sy ny mosary sy ny areti-mandringana, mba hisy hitantara ny fahavetavetany rehetra any amin’ ny jentilisa izay alehany; ka dia ho fantany fa Izaho no Jehovah.
But I will spare/save a few of them from being killed by swords and from dying from famines or plagues, with the result that in the nations to which they are forced to go, they will realize/admit that they have been doing disgusting things, and they will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].”
17 Tonga tamiko ny tenin’ i Jehovah nanao hoe:
Then Yahweh gave me another message. [He said, ]
18 Ry zanak’ olona, hano amin-korohoro ny haninao, ary sotroy amin-kovitra sy amin’ ahiahy ny ranonao.
“You human, tremble while you eat your food, and shudder fearfully while you drink your water.
19 Ary lazao amin’ ny vahoaka hoe Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah Tompo ny amin’ ny mponina ao Jerosalema, ao amin’ ny tanin’ ny Isiraely: Amin’ ahiahy no hihinanany ny haniny, ary amim-pahatalanjonana no hisotroany ny ranony, mba ho foana mihitsy ny tany, ka tsy hisy na inona na inona ao, noho ny fandozan’ izay rehetra monina ao aminy.
Tell [this to] the Israeli people: 'This is what Yahweh the Lord says about those who are [still] living in Jerusalem and [other places in] Israel: They also will be very anxious/worried [DOU] while they eat their food and drink their water, because their country will [soon] have everything taken away. That will happen because the people who live there [continually] act [very] violently.
20 Dia ho rava ny tanàna onenana, ary ho lao ny tany; ka dia ho fantatrareo fa Izaho no Jehovah.
The towns where people live will be devastated, and the land will become barren/empty. Then you people will know that it is I, Yahweh, [who have the power to do what I say that I will do].'”
21 Ary tonga tamiko ny tenin’ i Jehovah nanao hoe:
Yahweh gave me another message. [He said, ]
22 Ry zanak’ olona, ahoana moa, izao fitenenana ataonareo ao amin’ ny tanin’ ny Isiraely izao hoe: Mihaela ny andro, ary tonga tsinontsinona ny fahitana rehetra?
“You human, the people in Israel have this proverb/saying: ‘The days pass, and [the prophets] predict never happens.’
23 Koa lazao aminy hoe: Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah Tompo: Hatsahatro izany fitenenana izany ka tsy hatao fiteny ao amin’ ny Isiraely intsony; fa lazao aminy kosa hoe: Akaiky ny andro sy ny tenin’ ny fahitana rehetra.
So say to them, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says: I am going to prove that (what they say/that proverb) is not correct, and then they will never say that again in Israel.’ Tell them, ‘It will soon be the time when everything that the prophets have predicted will happen.
24 Fa tsy hisy fahitana foana intsony na faminaniana mandrobo ao amin’ ny taranak’ Isiraely.
No longer [false prophets tell] to the Israeli people false visions, or prophecies that try to please people.
25 Fa Izaho no Jehovah; hiteny Aho, ary ny teny lazaiko dia ho tò tokoa; tsy hajanona ela intsony izany; fa ho amin’ ny andronareo, ry taranaka maditra, no hilazako ny teny sy hanatanterahako azy, hoy Jehovah Tompo.
Instead, I, Yahweh, will say what I want to tell the people, and what I predict will quickly happen. You rebellious people, I will cause to happen everything that I say will happen. [That is what I, ] Yahweh the Lord, say.’”
26 Ary tonga tamiko ny tenin’ i Jehovah nanao hoe:
Yahweh also gave me this message:
27 Ry zanak’ olona, indro, ny taranak’ Isiraely manao hoe: Mbola ho ela izany fahitana hitany izany, ary ny amin’ ny fotoana mbola lavitra no vinaniny.
“You human, the Israeli people are [constantly] saying [about you], ‘The things that he sees in [will not happen soon]. They are [things that will happen] many years from now, far in the future.’
28 Koa lazao aminy hoe: Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah Tompo: Tsy hisy hajanona ela intsony ny teniko; fa ny teny izay lazaiko dia hotanterahiko, hoy Jehovah Tompo.
Therefore say to them, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord [DOU] says: I will no longer [causing to happen] any of the things that I have prophesied. Whatever I have predicted [very soon] happen.’”
