Amosa 2
1 Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah: Noho ny fahotana telon’ i Moaba, eny, efatra aza, dia tsy havelako izy, satria nodorany ho sokay ny taolan’ ny mpanjakan’ i Edoma;
Thus, saith Yahweh, Because of three transgressions of Moab, and because of four, will I not turn it back, —Because he burned the bones of the King of Edom to lime,
2 Fa hataoko afo ao Moaba, ka handevona ny tranoben’ i Kiriota izany; Ary Moaba ho faty amin’ ny tabataba sy amin’ ny akora ary ny fanenon’ ny anjomara;
Therefore will I send a fire into Moab, which shall devour the palaces of Kerioth—and Moab, shall die with tumult, with war- cry, with the sound of a horn;
3 Ary hofoanako tsy hisy mpitsara ao aminy, ary hiaraka hovonoiko izy sy ireo mpanapaka rehetra ao aminy, hoy Jehovah.
And I will cut off the judge out of her midst, and, all her rulers, will I slay with him, saith Yahweh.
4 Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah: Noho ny fahotana telon’ i Joda, eny, efatra aza, dia tsy havelako izy, satria nataony tsinontsinona ny lalàn’ i Jehovah, ary ny didiny tsy notandremany, ary nampahadiso azy ny laingany, izay fanaon’ ny razany;
Thus, saith Yahweh, Because of three transgressions of Judah, and because of four, will I not turn it back, —Because they have rejected the law of Yahweh, and, his statutes, have not kept, but their falsehoods, have led them astray, after the which their fathers, did walk,
5 Fa haterako afo ao Joda, ka handevona ny tranoben’ i Jerosalema izany.
Therefore will I send a fire upon Judah, —which shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.
6 Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah: Noho ny fahotana telon’ Isiraely, eny, efatra aza, dia tsy havelako izy, satria namidiny volafotsy ny olona marina sy kapa iray lomisy ny malahelo,
Thus, saith Yahweh, Because of three transgressions of Israel, and because of four, will I not turn it back, —Because they have sold—for silver—the righteous, and the needy—for a pair of shoes:
7 Ary mihanahana mitsiriritra ny vovo-tany eo an-dohan’ ny malahelo izy sady mamily ny alehan’ ny mpandefitra, ary olona mianaka dia samy mandry amin’ ny zazavavy iray ihany mba handoto ny anarako masìna;
Who strive to bring the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and, the way of the oppressed, they pervert, —Yea, a man and his own father, go in unto the maid, to profane my holy Name!
8 Amin’ ny lamba azony tamin’ ny tsatòka izy no mitsilailay eny anilan’ ny alitara rehetra, ary misotro divay novidina tamin’ ny sazy ao an-tranon’ ireo andriamaniny izy.
And, on pledged garments, they recline, beside every altar, —and, exacted wine, do they drink, in the house of their God.
9 Nefa Izaho no nandringana ny Amorita teo anoloany, dia olona izay lava tsanganana toy ny hazo sedera sy natanjaka toy ny ôka; Eny, nosimbako ny voany teny ambony sy ny fatany tao ambany.
Yet it was, I, who destroyed the Amorite, from before them, whose height was, like the height of cedars, and, strong, was he, like the oaks, —but I destroyed his fruit above, and his roots beneath.
10 Ary Izaho no nitondra anareo niakatra avy tany amin’ ny tany Egypta sady nitari-dalana anareo efa-polo taona tany an-efitra, mba handovanareo ny tanin’ ny Amorita,
And it was, I, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, —and led you in the desert, forty years, to take possession of the land of the Amorites;
11 Ary ny zanakalahinareo nisy natsangako ho mpaminany, ary ny zatovonareo ho Nazirita. Tsy izany va no izy, ry Zanak’ Isiraely? hoy Jehovah.
And I raised up, of your sons, for prophets, and, of your young men, for Nazirites, —Was it not even so, ye sons of Israel? Demandeth Yahweh;
12 Kanjo nampisotroinareo divay ny Nazirita, ary ny mpaminany noraranareo hoe: Aza maminany.
And yet ye caused the Nazirites to drink wine, —and, on the prophet, laid ye command, saying, Ye shall not prophesy!
13 Indro, Izaho no hitambesatra aminareo toy ny fitambesatry ny sariety feno amboara.
Lo! I, am pressed under you, —as a full cart is pressed by its sheaves,
14 Koa tsy ho afa-mandositra ny faingam-pandeha, ny mahery tsy hampiseho hery, ary ny lehilahy mahery tsy hahavonjy ny ainy;
Therefore shall flight, perish, from the swift, and, the mighty, shall not invigorate his strength, —nor shall, the hero, escape with his life;
15 Izay mitana tsipìka tsy hahajanona, ary ny faingan-tongotra tsy hahavonjy tena, izay mitaingin-tsoavaly tsy hahavonjy ny ainy;
Nor, he that handleth the bow, make a stand, and, the swift on his feet, shall not escape, —nor, he that rideth on a horse, escape with his life:
16 Ary na dia izay sahy ao amin’ ny mahery aza dia handositra mitanjaka amin’ izany andro izany, hoy Jehovah.
Nay, he that is stout in his heart, among heroes, naked, shall flee, in that day, Declareth Yahweh.
