1 Ary Solomona nilaza fa hanao trano ho an’ ny anaran’ i Jehovah sy lapa ho an’ ny tenany.
Now Solomon commanded the building of a house for Yahweh's name and the building of a palace for his kingdom.
2 Dia nanisa olona fito alina ho mpitondra entana Solomona ary valo alina ho mpikapa hazo eny an-tendrombohitra ary enin-jato amby telo arivo ho mpifehy azy.
Solomon assigned seventy thousand men to carry loads, and eighty thousand men as stonecutters in the mountains, and 3,600 men to supervise them.
3 Ary Solomona naniraka hankany amin’ i Hirama, mpanjakan’ i Tyro, hanao hoe: Tahaka ny nataonao tamin’ i Davida raiko, raha nampanatitra hazo sedera ho azy hanaovany trano hitoerany ianao,
Solomon sent a message to Hiram, the king of Tyre, saying, “As you did with David my father, sending him cedar logs to build a house to live in, do the same with me.
4 indro, izaho efa efa hanao trano ho an’ ny anaran’ i Jehovah Andriamanitro izay hohamasinina ho Azy ka handoroana ditin-kazo mani-pofona eo anatrehany sy hasiana ny mofo aseho mandrakariva ary handoroana ny fanatitra isa-maraina sy Isan-kariva ary amin’ ny Sabata sy ny voaloham-bolana ary amin’ ny fotoam-pivavahina voatendrin’ i Jehovah Andriamanitray; ho adidin’ ny Isiraely mandrakizay izany.
See, I am about to build a house for the name of Yahweh my God, to set it apart to him, to burn incense of sweet spices before him, to set out the bread of the presence, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths and on the new moons, and on the appointed feasts for Yahweh our God. This is forever, for Israel.
5 Ary ny trano efa hataoko dia lehibe, satria lehibe noho ny andriamanitra rehetra ny Andriamanitray.
The house that I will build will be very large, for our God is greater than all other gods.
6 Nefa iza no mahay manao trano ho Azy? Fa ny lanitra ary ny lanitry ny lanitra aza tsy omby Azy. Ka iza moa aho, no hanao trano ho Azy, afa-tsy ny handoroana ditin-kazo manitra eo anatrehany ihany?
But who is able to build God a house, since the entire universe and even heaven itself cannot contain him? Who am I to build him a house, except to burn sacrifices before him?
7 Koa aniraho olon-kendry aho hiasa volamena sy volafotsy sy varahina sy vy sy volomparasy sy jaky ary manga, ary izay mahay misokitra manao sarin-javatra mba hiara-manao amin’ ny olo-mahay zavatra izay atỳ amiko atỳ Joda sy Jerosalema, izay efa nomanin’ i Davida raiko.
So send me a man who is skilled at work in gold, silver, bronze, iron, and in purple, crimson, and blue wool, a man who knows how to make all kinds of engraved wood. He will be with the skilled men who are with me in Judah and Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.
8 Ary anatero hazo sedera sy kypreso ary almoga avy any Libanona koa aho; fa fantatro fa mahay mikapa hazo any Libanona ny vahoakanao; ary, indro, ny vahoakako hiaraka amin’ ny vahoakanao
Send me also cedar, cypress, and algum trees from Lebanon, for I know that your servants know how to cut timber in Lebanon. See, my servants will be with your servants,
9 mba hanamboatra hazo betsaka ho ahy; fa ny trano izay efa hataoko dia ho lehibe higagana.
in order to prepare for me timber in abundance, for the house which I am about to build will be great and marvelous.
10 Ary, indro, homeko vary tritika voafotsy sy vary hordea roa alina kora avy ary divay sy diloilo roa alina bata avy ny vahoakanao mpikapa hazo.
See, I will give to your servants, the men who will cut the timber, twenty thousand cors of ground wheat, twenty thousand cors of barley, twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.”
11 Ary hoy Hirama, mpanjakan’ i Tyro, tamin’ ny taratasy izay nampanateriny ho any amin’ i Solomona: Noho ny fitiavan’ i Jehovah ny olony no nanendreny anao ho mpanjakany.
Then Hiram, the king of Tyre, answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon: “Because Yahweh loves his people, he has made you king over them.”
12 Ary hoy koa Hirama: Isaorana anie Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, Izay nanao ny lanitra sy ny tany, noho ny nanomezany an’ i Davida zanaka hendry, izay manana fahendrena sy fahalalana, ka hanao trano ho an’ i Jehovah sy lapa ho an’ ny tenany izy.
In addition, Hiram said, “Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, gifted with prudence and understanding, who will build a house for Yahweh and a palace for himself.
13 Koa ankehitriny, indro, maniraka olona mahay zavatra sady manana fahalalana aho, dia Hiram-aby,
Now I have sent a skillful man, Huram-Abi, who is gifted with understanding.
14 zanaky ny vehivavy Danita sy ny lehilahy Tyriana. Ary izy dia mahay miasa volamena sy volafotsy sy varahina sy vy sy vato sy hazo sy volomparasy sy manga sy rongony fotsy madinika ary jaky; ary mahay misokitra manao sarin-javatra samy hafa sy mahay manao marika amin’ izay asa rehetra asaina ataony, ka dia hiara-manao amin’ ny olon-kendrinao sy ny olon-kendrin’ itompokolahy Davida rainao Izy.
He is the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan. His father was a man from Tyre. He is skilled at work in gold, silver, bronze, iron, stone, and in timber, and in purple, blue, and crimson wool, and fine linen. He is also skilled in making any kind of engraving and in making any kind of design. Let a place be made for him among your skilled workers, and with those of my master, David, your father.
15 Ary ny vary tritika sy ny vary hordea ary ny diloilo sy ny divay, izay nolazainao, tompokolahy dia aoka hampanaterina ho atỳ aminay mpanomponao;
Now then, the wheat and the barley, the oil and the wine, of which my master has spoken, let him send these things to his servants.
16 Ary izahay dia hikapa hazo any Libanona araka izay rehetra tadiavinao; ary hofehezinay ka hampandehaninay mitsinkafona amin’ ny ranomasina ho any Jopa; ary ianao kosa no hitondra azy miakatra hankany Jerosalema.
We will cut wood from Lebanon, as much wood as you need. We will take it to you as rafts by sea to Joppa, and you will carry it up to Jerusalem.”
17 Ary Solomona nanisa ny lehilahy hafa firenena rehetra izay nonina tamin’ ny tanin’ ny Isiraely araka ny nanisan’ i Davida rainy Lzy, ary ny isany dia enin-jato amby telo arivo amby dimy alina sy iray hetsy.
Solomon counted all the foreigners who were in the land of Israel, following the method that David, his father, had counted them. They were found to be 153,600.
18 Ary ny fito alina tamin’ ireo dia nataony mpitondra entana, ary ny valo alina nataony mpikapa hazo eny an-tendrombohitra, ary ny enin-jato amby telo arivo nataony mpifehy hampiasa ny olona.
He assigned seventy thousand of them to carry loads, eighty thousand to be stonecutters in the mountains, and 3,600 to be supervisors to put the people to work.
