< Zabbuli 91 >
1 Obwesige bw’oyo atya Katonda. Oyo abeera mu kifo eky’ekyama eky’oyo Ali Waggulu Ennyo; aliwumulira mu kisiikirize kya Katonda Ayinzabyonna.
He who is dwelling In the secret place of the Most High, In the shade of the Mighty lodgeth habitually,
2 Nnaayogeranga ku Mukama nti, Oli kiddukiro kyange era ekigo kyange; ggwe Katonda wange gwe nneesiga.
He is saying of Jehovah, 'My refuge, and my bulwark, my God, I trust in Him,'
3 Ddala ddala y’anaakuwonyanga omutego gw’omuyizzi, ne kawumpuli azikiriza.
For He delivereth thee from the snare of a fowler, From a calamitous pestilence.
4 Alikubikka n’ebyoya bye, era mu biwaawaatiro bye mw’onoddukiranga; obwesigwa bwe bunaabanga ngabo yo okukukuumanga.
With His pinion He covereth thee over, And under His wings thou dost trust, A shield and buckler [is] His truth.
5 Tootyenga ntiisa ya kiro, wadde akasaale akalasibwa emisana;
Thou art not afraid of fear by night, Of arrow that flieth by day,
6 newaakubadde olumbe olusoobasooba mu kizikiza, wadde kawumpuli azikiriza mu ttuntu.
Of pestilence in thick darkness that walketh, Of destruction that destroyeth at noon,
7 Abantu olukumi balifiira ku lusegere lwo, n’omutwalo ne bafiira ku mukono gwo ogwa ddyo, naye olumbe terulikutuukako.
There fall at thy side a thousand, And a myriad at thy right hand, Unto thee it cometh not nigh.
8 Olitunuulira butunuulizi n’amaaso go; n’olaba ekibonerezo ky’omukozi w’ebibi.
But with thine eyes thou lookest, And the reward of the wicked thou seest,
9 Kubanga bw’olifuula Mukama ekiddukiro kyo; Ali Waggulu Ennyo n’omufuula ekifo kyo mw’obeera,
(For Thou, O Jehovah, [art] my refuge, ) The Most High thou madest thy habitation.
10 tewali kabi kalikutuukako, so tewali kibonoobono kirisemberera nnyumba yo.
Evil happeneth not unto thee, And a plague cometh not near thy tent,
11 Kubanga Mukama aliragira bamalayika be bakukuume mu makubo go gonna.
For His messengers He chargeth for thee, To keep thee in all thy ways,
12 Balikuwanirira mu mikono gyabwe; oleme okwekoona ekigere kyo ku jjinja.
On the hands they bear thee up, Lest thou smite against a stone thy foot.
13 Olirinnya ku mpologoma ne ku nswera; olirinnyirira empologoma ey’amaanyi, n’omusota.
On lion and asp thou treadest, Thou trampest young lion and dragon.
14 “Olw’okuba nga njagala kyendiva muwonya; nnaamukuumanga, kubanga amanyi erinnya lyange.
Because in Me he hath delighted, I also deliver him — I set him on high, Because he hath known My name.
15 Anankowoolanga ne muyitabanga; nnaabeeranga naye mu biseera eby’akabi. Ndimuwonya era ndimuwa ekitiibwa.
He doth call Me, and I answer him, I [am] with him in distress, I deliver him, and honour him.
16 Ndimuwangaaza n’asanyuka era ndimulaga obulokozi bwange.”
With length of days I satisfy him, And I cause him to look on My salvation!
