< Zabbuli 76 >

1 Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Eyimbibwa n’ebivuga eby’enkoba. Zabbuli ya Asafu. Katonda amanyiddwa mu Yuda; erinnya lye kkulu mu Isirayiri.
For the end, amongst the Hymns, a Psalm for Asaph; a Song for the Assyrian. God is known in Judea: his name is great in Israel.
2 Eweema ye eri mu Yerusaalemi; era abeera mu Sayuuni.
And his place has been in peace, and his dwelling-place in Sion.
3 Eyo gy’asinziira n’amenyaamenya obusaale bw’omulabe obujja bwesooza; n’engabo n’ebitala n’ebyokulwanyisa byonna eby’olutalo.
There he broke the power of the bows, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. (Pause)
4 Owa ekitangaala, oli wa kitiibwa okusinga ensozi ennene eziriko ensolo eziyiggibwa.
You do wonderfully shine forth from the everlasting mountains.
5 Ab’amaanyi bagalamira nga banyaguluddwa, beebaka ne batasobola kugolokoka, ne watabaawo n’omu asobola okuyimusa omukono gwe.
All the simple ones in heart were troubled; all the men of wealth have slept their sleep, and have found nothing in their hands.
6 Bw’obaboggolera, Ayi Katonda wa Yakobo, abeebagala embalaasi ezisika ebigaali bagwiira wamu n’ebigaali ne batagolokoka.
At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, the riders on horses slumbered.
7 Ggwe ayi Katonda, osaanira okutiibwanga. Ani ayinza okuyimirira mu maaso go ng’osunguwadde?
You are terrible; and who shall withstand you, because of your anger?
8 Osalira abantu emisango ng’osinziira mu ggulu, ensi n’etya n’ekankana n’esirika olw’obusungu bwo,
You did cause judgement to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
9 bw’ogolokoka okusala omusango, okuwonya ababonyaabonyezebwa mu nsi.
when God arose to judgement, to save all the meek in heart. (Pause)
10 Bw’osunguwalira omuntu kikuleetera okutenderezebwa, n’abo b’otasunguwalidde ne beegendereza.
For the inward thought of man shall give thanks to you: and the memorial of his inward thought shall keep a feast to you.
11 Mweyame obweyamo bwammwe eri Mukama Katonda wammwe, era mubutuukirizenga; bonna abamuli okumpi bamuleetere ebirabo, kubanga asaanidde okutiibwa.
Vow, and pay [your vows] to the Lord our God; all that are round about him shall bring gifts, [even] to him that is terrible,
12 Mukama akkakkanya abalangira, ne bakabaka b’ensi bamutya.
and that takes away the spirits of princes; to him that is terrible amongst the kings of the earth.
