1 Bokumisa Yawe! Bokumisa Yawe wuta na likolo, bokumisa Ye na bisika oyo eleki likolo.
Praise Yahweh! Praise him, from up in heaven; praise him from way up in the sky!
2 Bokumisa Ye, bino ba-anjelu na Ye nyonso; bokumisa Ye, bino mampinga na Ye nyonso;
All you angels who belong to him, praise him! All you who are in the armies of heaven, praise him!
3 bokumisa Ye, bino moyi mpe sanza; bokumisa Ye, bino minzoto nyonso oyo engengaka;
Sun and moon, [you also] praise him! You shining stars, you praise him!
4 bokumisa Ye, bino oyo boleki likolo kati na likolo, mpe bino mayi oyo bozali na likolo!
You highest heavens, praise him! And you waters that are high above the sky, praise him!
5 Tika ete ekumisa Kombo ya Yawe! Pamba te apesaki mitindo, mpe ekelamaki.
I want [all of] these to praise Yahweh [MTY] because by commanding [them to exist], he created them.
6 Atiaki yango mpo na libela; apesaki mibeko oyo ekobongwana te.
He determined the places where they should be [in the sky], and he commanded that they should be there forever. They cannot disobey that command!
7 Bokumisa Yawe wuta na mokili, ezala bilima ya mayi to mozindo nyonso,
And everything on the earth, praise Yahweh! You [huge] sea monsters and [everything else that is] deep [in the ocean],
8 ezala moto to mvula ya mabanga, ezala mvula ya pembe to londende, ezala mopepe makasi oyo ekokisaka liloba na Ye;
and fire and hail, and snow and frost, and strong winds that obey what he commands, [I tell] all of you to praise Yahweh!
9 ezala bangomba milayi to bangomba mikuse, ezala banzete oyo ebotaka bambuma to banzete ya sedele,
Hills and mountains, fruit trees and cedar [trees],
10 ezala banyama ya zamba to bibwele nyonso, ezala bikelamu oyo etambolaka na libumu to bandeke,
all the wild animals and all [you] cattle, and the (reptiles/creatures that scurry across the ground), and [all] the birds, [I tell all of them to praise Yahweh]!
11 ezala bakonzi ya mabele to bikolo nyonso, ezala bakambi to batambolisi nyonso ya mokili,
You kings on this earth and all the people [that you rule], you princes and all [other] rulers,
12 ezala bilenge mibali to bilenge basi, ezala bampaka to bana mike!
you young men and young women, you old people and children, [everyone, praise Yahweh!]
13 Tika ete bakumisa Kombo ya Yawe! Pamba te Ye moko kaka nde aleki likolo; nkembo na Ye eleki mabele mpe likolo.
I want them [all] to praise Yahweh [MTY] because he is greater than anyone else. His glory is greater than [anything on] the earth or [in] heaven.
14 Abongisi elombe mokangoli mpo na bato na Ye! Ezali likambo oyo bayengebene na Ye nyonso, bana nyonso ya Isalaele, bato oyo balingaka Ye, basengeli kokumisa Yawe mpo na yango. Bokumisa Yawe!
He caused us, his people, to be strong in order that we, his people, we Israeli people (who are very precious to him/whom he loves very much), would praise him. So praise Yahweh!
