1 Nzembo ya Davidi. Nzambe, motema na ngai ezali na kimia! Nakoyembela Yo, nakosanzola Yo na mindule; ezali mpe lokumu na ngai.
“A song or psalm of David.” My heart is firm, O God; I will sing and give praise, even with my spirit.
2 Lindanda mpe nzenze, bolamuka! Nalingi kolamusa tongo.
Awake, psaltery and harp: I will wake up the morning-dawn.
3 Nkolo, nakosanzola Yo kati na bato, nakoyembela Yo kati na bikolo.
I will give thee thanks among the people, O Lord: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
4 Pamba te bolingo na Yo ezali monene koleka Lola, mpe bosembo na Yo ekenda kino na mapata.
For great above the heavens is thy kindness, and thy truth reacheth even unto the skies.
5 Oh Nzambe, tika ete otombolama na likolo ya Lola, mpe nkembo na Yo ezala awa na mokili mobimba!
Exalt thyself above the heavens, O God; and above all the earth thy glory.
6 Bikisa biso na nguya ya loboko na Yo mpe yanola biso, mpo ete balingami na Yo bakangolama!
In order that thy beloved may be delivered: help with thy right hand, and answer me.
7 Nzambe alobaki kati na Esika na Ye ya bule: « Nakolonga! Nakokabola Sishemi mpe nakotia bandelo ya lubwaku ya Sukoti.
God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult, I will divide Shechem, and the valley of Succoth will I measure out.
8 Galadi ezali ya ngai, Manase mpe ezali ya ngai; Efrayimi ezali ekoti na ngai ya ebende, mpe Yuda ezali lingenda na ngai ya bokonzi.
Mine id Gil'ad, and mine is Menasseh; Ephraim also is the strong-hold of my head; of Judah are my chiefs.
9 Moabi ezali sani monene oyo nasukolelaka, Edomi ezali esika oyo nabwakaka sandale na ngai. Nazali kobeta milolo ya bitumba mpo na kobundisa mokili ya Filisitia. »
Moab is my washpot; upon Edom will I cast my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.
10 Nani akomema ngai na engumba batonga makasi? Nani akotambolisa ngai kino na Edomi?
Who will bring me into the fortified city? who will lead me as far as Edom?
11 Ezali Yo te, Nzambe oyo obwakaki biso, Nzambe oyo ozalaki lisusu te kokende bitumba elongo na mampinga na biso!
Behold, it is thou, O God, who hast cast us off; and thou, O God, goest not forth with our armies.
12 Yaka kosunga biso, kangola biso liboso ya moyini! Pamba te lisungi ya bato ezali pamba.
Give us help against the assailant; for vain is the help of man.
13 Elongo na Nzambe, tokosala makambo minene mpe ya kokamwa; ezali Ye nde akonyata banguna na biso.
Through God shall we do valiantly; for he it is that will tread down our adversaries.
