< Yobo 40 >
And the Lord addressed Job, and said,
2 « Boni, moto oyo atiaka tembe na Nkolo-Na-Nguya-Nyonso akoki koteya Ye? Tika ete oyo azali koswanisa Nzambe ayanola Ye! »
Will he that contendeth with the Almighty yet find fault? him that reproveth God answer this.
3 Yobo azongiselaki Yawe:
Then answered Job the Lord, and said,
4 « Tala ngai, nazali se ekelamu ya pamba, eyano nini nakoki kopesa Yo? Natie loboko na ngai na monoko.
Behold, I am too vile: what shall I answer thee? my hand do I place on my mouth.
5 Nalobaki mbala moko, kasi nakoyanola lisusu te; na mbala ya mibale, nakobakisa lisusu eloko te. »
Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will not repeat it again.
6 Yawe alobaki na Yobo wuta na mopepe makasi:
Then answered the Lord unto Job out of the storm-wind, and said,
7 « Kanga mokaba na loketo na yo lokola elombe mobali; nakotuna yo mituna, mpe okoyanola ngai.
Do but gird up like a mighty man thy loins: I will ask thee, and do thou inform me.
8 Olingi kotiola bosembo na ngai? Okani kokweyisa ngai mpo ete yo moko omilongisa?
Wilt thou indeed annul my decree? wilt thou condemn me, in order that thou mayest appear righteous?
9 Ozali na loboko lokola oyo ya Nzambe? Mongongo na yo ekoki konguluma makasi lokola oyo ya Ye?
But if thou hast an arm like God, or if thou canst thunder loudly like him:
10 Lata nkembo mpe kongenga, milatisa lokumu mpe monene!
Then do deck thyself with excellence and greatness, and clothe thyself in majesty and glory.
11 Sopa nguya ya kanda na yo likolo ya bato, tala bato nyonso ya lolendo liboso na yo mpe kitisa bango!
Scatter abroad the ragings of thy wrath, and look on every proud one, and humble him.
12 Tala bato nyonso ya lolendo, yokisa bango soni! Nyata-nyata bato mabe na esika oyo bazali.
Look on every proud one, and bend him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.
13 Kunda bango nyonso kati na putulu, zipa bilongi na bango na esika ya kobombama.
Hide them in the dust altogether: bind up their faces in concealment.
14 Boye, ngai moko nakopesa yo lokumu, pamba te loboko na yo ya mobali ekoki mpo na kobikisa yo.
Then will I also myself praise thee, when thy own right hand hath helped thee.
15 Tala ngubu: nakelaki yango ndenge nakelaki yo, kasi eliaka kaka matiti lokola ngombe.
Only behold Behemoth, which I made near thee: grass he eateth like the ox.
16 Tala makasi oyo ezali kati na loketo na yango, nguya oyo ezali kati na misuni ya libumu na yango!
Only see, [how great] is his strength in his loins, and his force, in the muscles of his belly.
17 Ekembisaka mokila na yango lokola nzete ya sedele; misisa ya mipende na yango elingama-lingama;
He stretcheth out his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his loins are closely wrapped together.
18 mikuwa na yango ezali lokola bibende ya bronze; mipanzi na yango ezali lokola biteni ya bibende.
His bones are like pipes of brass: his frame is like bars of iron.
19 Ezali ekelamu ya liboso ya Nzambe, kasi Mokeli na yango atieli yango mopanga pene.
He is the first in rank of the works of God: he that made him can alone bring his sword near unto him.
20 Ngomba ezali kopesa yango matiti ya kolia, esika oyo banyama nyonso ya zamba esakanaka.
But truly the mountains bear for him his food, and all the beasts of the field play there.
21 Elalaka na se ya banzete ya mike-mike, na se ya matiti oyo ezalaka pembeni ya mayi mpe na potopoto.
Under shady trees he lieth down, in the covert of the reeds, and swamp.
22 Banzete ya mike-mike ebombaka yango na se ya elili na yango, banzete ya pepiliye ezingeli yango.
Shady trees cover him as his shadow: willows of the brook encompass him about.
23 Soki mayi ya ebale etomboki, yango ebangaka te; ata mayi ya Yordani esopaneli yango na monoko, evandaka kaka kimia.
Behold, a river sweepeth violently along, but he hasteneth not away: he remaineth quiet, though a Jordan rusheth up to his mouth.
24 Boni, moto akoki kokanga yango na motambo na tango ezali kotala to kotobola yango zolo na ndobo, mpo na kobenda yango?
Can one catch him before his eyes? pierce his nose by means of snares?—
