< 2 Bakonzi 11 >
1 Tango Atali, mama ya Akazia, amonaki ete mwana na ye ya mobali akufi, abomisaki libota mobimba ya mokonzi.
When Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she proceeded to annihilate all the royal heirs.
2 Kasi Yeosheba, mwana mwasi ya mokonzi Yorami mpe ndeko ya Akazia, azwaki Joasi, mwana mobali ya Akazia; alongolaki ye na mayele kati na bana mibali ya mokonzi, oyo basengeli koboma mpe atiaki ye mpe ndesi na ye kati na shambre epai wapi batiaka bambeto, mpo na kobomba ye mosika ya miso ya Atali; mpe Atali abomaki Joasi te.
But Jehosheba daughter of King Joram, the sister of Ahaziah, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the sons of the king who were being murdered. She put him and his nurse in a bedroom to hide him from Athaliah, and he was not killed.
3 Abombamaki elongo na ndesi na ye mibu motoba kati na Tempelo ya Yawe, wana Atali azalaki kokonza mokili.
And Joash remained hidden with his nurse in the house of the LORD for six years while Athaliah ruled the land.
4 Na mobu ya sambo, Yeoyada abengisaki bakonzi ya mampinga, oyo bakambaka basoda nkama moko ya bato ya Kari mpe bakengeli. Abengisaki bango epai na ye kati na Tempelo ya Yawe, asalaki boyokani elongo na bango, alapisaki bango ndayi kati na Tempelo ya Yawe mpe alakisaki bango mwana mobali ya mokonzi.
Then in the seventh year, Jehoiada sent for the commanders of hundreds, the Carites, and the guards, and had them brought into the house of the LORD. There he made a covenant with them and put them under oath. He showed them the king’s son
5 Apesaki bango mitindo oyo: « Tala ndenge bokosala: kati na bandambo misato ya lisanga na bino, ndambo moko bakosala na mokolo ya Saba; ndambo ya liboso bakokengela ndako ya mokonzi,
and commanded them, “This is what you are to do: A third of you who come on duty on the Sabbath shall guard the royal palace,
6 ndambo ya mibale bakozala na ekuke ya Suri, mpe ndambo ya misato bakokengela ekuke, na sima ya ndako ya bakengeli. Bandambo nyonso misato bakokitana, moko sima na mosusu, kati na mosala ya kokengela Tempelo.
a third shall be at the gate of Sur, and a third at the gate behind the guards. You are to take turns guarding the temple—
7 Bandambo mibale oyo bakosala te na mokolo ya Saba bakokengela Tempelo ya Yawe mpo na mokonzi.
the two divisions that would go off duty on the Sabbath are to guard the house of the LORD for the king.
8 Bakozingela mokonzi, moto na moto na ebundeli na ye na loboko. Moto nyonso oyo akopusana na molongo na bino, bosengeli koboma ye. Bozala pene ya mokonzi na bisika nyonso oyo akokende. »
You must surround the king with weapons in hand, and anyone who approaches the ranks must be put to death. You must stay close to the king wherever he goes.”
9 Bakonzi ya mampinga, oyo bakambaka basoda nkama moko basalaki nyonso oyo Nganga-Nzambe Yeoyada atindaki. Moko na moko akamataki basoda na ye, ba-oyo bazalaki kokota na mosala na mokolo ya Saba mpe ba-oyo basilisaki mosala na bango na mokolo yango, mpe akendeki epai ya Nganga-Nzambe Yeoyada.
So the commanders of hundreds did everything that Jehoiada the priest had ordered. Each of them took his men—those coming on duty on the Sabbath and those going off duty—and came to Jehoiada the priest.
10 Nganga-Nzambe Yeoyada apesaki na bakonzi ya mampinga, oyo bakambaka basoda nkama moko makonga mpe banguba oyo ezalaki ya mokonzi Davidi, oyo ezalaki kati na Tempelo ya Yawe.
Then the priest gave to the commanders of hundreds the spears and shields of King David from the house of the LORD.
11 Bakengeli bazingelaki mokonzi, moko na moko na ebundeli na ye na loboko, pembeni ya etumbelo mpe ya Tempelo, wuta na ngambo ya sude kino na ngambo ya nor ya Tempelo.
And the guards stood with weapons in hand surrounding the king by the altar and the temple, from the south side to the north side of the temple.
12 Nganga-Nzambe Yeoyada abimisaki mwana mobali ya mokonzi, alatisaki ye motole mpe apesaki ye mokanda ya boyokani. Bakomisaki ye mokonzi mpe bapakolaki ye mafuta ya bokonzi. Bato babetaki maboko mpe bagangaki: « Tika ete mokonzi awumela na bomoi! »
Then Jehoiada brought out the king’s son, put the crown on him, presented him with the Testimony, and proclaimed him king. They anointed him, and the people clapped their hands and declared, “Long live the king!”
13 Tango Atali ayokaki makelele oyo bato mpe bakengeli bazalaki kosala, akendeki epai ya bato, na Tempelo ya Yawe.
When Athaliah heard the noise from the guards and the people, she went out to the people in the house of the LORD.
14 Atalaki mpe amonaki mokonzi atelemi na etemelo ya kolobela, ndenge ezalaki momesano. Bakonzi ya basoda mpe bato oyo babetaka bakelelo bazalaki pembeni ya mokonzi; bato nyonso ya mokili bazalaki kosepela wana bazalaki kobeta bakelelo. Atali apasolaki bilamba na ye mpe agangaki: « Basaleli ngai likita! Basaleli ngai likita! »
And she looked out and saw the king standing by the pillar, according to the custom. The officers and trumpeters were beside the king, and all the people of the land were rejoicing and blowing trumpets. Then Athaliah tore her clothes and screamed, “Treason! Treason!”
15 Nganga-Nzambe Yeoyada apesaki mitindo epai ya bakonzi ya mampinga, oyo bakambaka basoda nkama moko: « Bobimisa ye na molongo! Mpe boboma na mopanga moto nyonso oyo akolanda ye! » Pamba te Nganga-Nzambe alobaki: « Boboma ye te kati na Tempelo ya Yawe! »
And Jehoiada the priest ordered the commanders of hundreds in charge of the army, “Bring her out between the ranks, and put to the sword anyone who follows her.” For the priest had said, “She must not be put to death in the house of the LORD.”
16 Boye, wana Atali azwaki nzela ya ekotelo ya bampunda mpo na kokende na ndako ya mokonzi, bakangaki ye mpe babomaki ye kuna.
So they seized Athaliah as she reached the horses’ entrance to the palace grounds, and there she was put to death.
17 Yeoyada asalaki boyokani kati na Yawe, mokonzi mpe bato, mpo ete bazala bato ya Yawe; asalaki lisusu boyokani kati na mokonzi mpe bato.
Then Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and the people that they would be the LORD’s people. He also made a covenant between the king and the people.
18 Bato nyonso ya mokili bakendeki na ndako ya nzambe Bala mpe babukaki yango elongo na bitumbelo mpe bikeko, mpe babomaki Matani, nganga-nzambe ya Bala, liboso ya bitumbelo. Nganga-Nzambe Yeoyada atiaki bakengeli ya Tempelo ya Yawe.
So all the people of the land went to the temple of Baal and tore it down. They smashed the altars and idols to pieces, and they killed Mattan the priest of Baal in front of the altars. And Jehoiada the priest posted guards for the house of the LORD.
19 Asangisaki bakonzi ya mampinga, oyo bakambaka basoda nkama moko, bato ya Kari, bakengeli mpe bato nyonso ya mokili; amemaki mokonzi longwa na Tempelo ya Yawe kino na ndako ya mokonzi, na nzela ya ekuke ya bakengeli. Bongo Joasi avandaki na kiti na ye ya bokonzi.
He took with him the commanders of hundreds, the Carites, the guards, and all the people of the land, and they brought the king down from the house of the LORD and entered the royal palace by way of the Gate of the Guards. Then Joash took his seat on the royal throne,
20 Bato nyonso ya mokili basepelaki, mpe engumba ekomaki na kimia, pamba te babomaki Atali na mopanga kati na ndako ya mokonzi.
and all the people of the land rejoiced. And the city was quiet, because Athaliah had been put to the sword at the royal palace.
21 Joasi azalaki na mibu sambo ya mbotama tango akomaki mokonzi.
Joash was seven years old when he became king.
