1 Hi sunt reges, quos percusserunt filii Israel, et possederunt Terram eorum trans Iordanem ad solis ortum, a torrente Arnon usque ad montem Hermon, et omnem Orientalem plagam, quae respicit solitudinem.
And these are the kings of the land whom the children of Israel smote, and whose land they took possession of on the other side of the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Chermon, and all the plain on the east:
2 Sehon rex Amorrhaeorum, qui habitavit in Hesebon, dominatus est ab Aroer, quae sita est super ripam torrentis Arnon, et mediae partis in valle, dimidiaeque Galaad, usque ad torrentem Ieboc, qui est terminus filiorum Ammon.
Sichon the king of the Emorites, who dwelt in Cheshbon, and ruled from 'Aro'er, which is upon the bank of the brook Arnon, and over the land in the middle of the brook, and from half Gil'ad, even unto the brook Yabbok, the boundary of the children of 'Ammon;
3 et a solitudine usque ad Mare Ceneroth contra Orientem, et usque ad Mare deserti, quod est mare salsissimum, ad Orientalem plagam per viam quae ducit Bethsimoth: et ab australi parte, quae subiacet Asedoth, Phasga.
And over the plain up to the sea of Kinneroth on the east, and up to the sea of the plain, the salt sea on the east, on the way to Beth-hayeshimoth; and at the south, under the declivities of Pisgah;
4 Terminus Og regis Basan, de reliquiis Raphaim, qui habitavit in Astaroth, et in Edrai, et dominatus est in monte Hermon, et in Salecha, atque in universa Basan, usque ad terminos
And the territory of 'Og the king of Bashan, who was of the remnant of the Rephaim, that dwelt at 'Ashtaroth and at Edre'i,
5 Gessuri, et Machati, et dimidiae partis Galaad: terminos Sehon regis Hesebon.
And reigned over mount Chermon, and over Salchah, and over all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites, and half Gil'ad, [to] the boundary of Sichon the king of Cheshbon.
6 Moyses famulus Domini, et filii Israel percusserunt eos, tradiditque Terram eorum Moyses in possessionem Rubenitis, et Gaditis, et dimidiae tribui Manasse.
These did Moses the servant of the Lord and the children of Israel smite; and Moses the servant of the Lord gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh.
7 Hi sunt reges Terrae, quos percussit Iosue et filii Israel trans Iordanem ad Occidentalem plagam, a Baalgad in campo Libani, usque ad montem, cuius pars ascendit in Seir: tradiditque eam Iosue in possessionem tribubus Israel, singulis partes suas,
And these are the kings of the country whom Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side of the Jordan on the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon as far as the bald mountain, that goeth up to Seir; and Joshua gave it unto the tribes of Israel for a possession, according to their divisions;
8 tam in montanis quam in planis atque campestribus. In Aseroth, et in solitudine, ac in meridie Hethaeus fuit et Amorrhaeus, Chananaeus et Pherezaeus, Hevaeus et Iebusaeus.
In the mountains, and in the lowlands, and in the plain, and in the declivities, and in the wilderness, and in the south country: the Hittites, the Emorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
9 Rex Iericho unus: rex Hai, quae est ex latere Bethel, unus:
The king of Jericho, one; the king of 'Ai, which was beside Bethel one;
10 rex Ierusalem unus, rex Hebron unus,
The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;
11 rex Ierimoth unus, rex Lachis unus,
The king of Yarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;
12 rex Eglon unus, rex Gazer unus,
The king of 'Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;
13 rex Dabir unus, rex Gader unus,
The king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;
14 rex Herma unus, rex Hered unus,
The king of Chormah, one; the king of 'Arad, one;
15 rex Lebna unus, rex Adullam unus,
The king of Libnah, one; the king of 'Adullam, one;
16 rex Maceda unus, rex Bethel unus,
The king of Makkedah, one; the king of Beth'el, one;
17 rex Taphua unus, rex Opher unus,
The king of Tappuach, one; the king of Chepher, one;
18 rex Aphec unus, rex Saron unus,
The king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one;
19 rex Madon unus, rex Asor unus,
The king of Madon, one; the king of Chazor, one;
20 rex Semeron unus, rex Achsaph unus,
The king of Shimron-meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;
21 rex Thenac unus, rex Mageddo unus,
The king of Ta'anach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;
22 rex Cades unus, rex Iachanan Carmeli unus,
The king of Kedesh, one; the king of Yokne'am on Carmel, one;
23 rex Dor, et provinciae Dor unus, rex Gentium Galgal unus,
The king of Dor in the district of Dor, one; the king of Goyim in Gilgal, one;
24 rex Thersa unus: omnes reges triginta unus.
The king of Tirzah, one: in all thirty and one kings.
