یەکەم یۆحەنا 4

1 خۆشەویستان، بڕوا بە هەموو ڕۆحێک مەکەن، بەڵکو ڕۆحەکان تاقی بکەنەوە، بزانن ئایا لە خوداوەیە؟ چونکە زۆر پێغەمبەری درۆزن بە جیهاندا بڵاوبوونەتەوە.

Beloved, believe not every Spirit, but try the spirits, whether they be of God: for many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 ڕۆحی خودا بەمە دەناسنەوە: هەر ڕۆحێک دان بەوەدا بنێت کە عیسای مەسیح لە جەستەدا هاتووە، ئەوا ئەو ڕۆحە لە خوداوەیە،

By this ye may know the Spirit of God: every Spirit that confesseth Jesus Christ, who is come in the flesh, is of God:

3 بەڵام هەر ڕۆحێکیش دان بە عیسادا نەنێت، ئەوا ئەو ڕۆحە لە خوداوە نییە. ئەو ڕۆحە دژە مەسیحە کە بیستووتانە دێت و ئێستا وا لە جیهاندایە.

and every spirit that doth not confess Jesus Christ, who is come in the flesh, is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, which ye have heard was coming, and is already in the world.

4 ڕۆڵە خۆشەویستەکان، ئێوە لە خوداوەن و بەسەر ئەو پێغەمبەرە درۆزنانەدا زاڵ بوون، چونکە ڕۆحی خودا ئەوەی لە ئێوەدایە گەورەترە لە ڕۆحی شەیتان ئەوەی لە جیهاندایە.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He, that is in you, than he that is in the world.

5 ئەوان سەر بە جیهانن، هەر بۆیە ئەوەی دەیڵێن لە جیهانەوەیە و جیهان گوێیان لێ دەگرێت.

They are of the world; therefore they speak as men of the world, and the world heareth them.

6 ئێمە لە خوداوەین و ئەوەی خودا بناسێت گوێمان لێ دەگرێت، بەڵام ئەوەی لە خوداوە نەبێت گوێمان لێ ناگرێت. بەم شێوەیە ڕۆحی ڕاستی و ڕۆحی چەواشە دەناسینەوە.

We are of God: he, that knoweth God, heareth us; but he, who is not of God, heareth not us. By this we know the Spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

7 خۆشەویستان، با یەکتریمان خۆشبوێ، چونکە خۆشەویستی لە خوداوەیە و ئەوەی کەسانی دیکەی خۆشدەوێت لە خوداوە لەدایک بووە و خودا دەناسێت.

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is from God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8 ئەوەی کەسانی دیکەی خۆشنەوێت خودای نەناسیوە، چونکە خودا خۆشەویستییە.

He, that loveth not, knoweth not God: for God is love.

9 بەم شێوەیە خۆشەویستی خودا لەنێوانماندا دەرکەوت: خودا کوڕە تاقانەکەی خۆی ناردە جیهان تاکو بەهۆیەوە بژین.

In this was the love of God manifested towards us, that God sent his only-begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

10 خۆشەویستی لەمەدایە: نەک ئێمە خودامان خۆشویست، بەڵکو ئەو خۆشیویستین و کوڕەکەی بۆ کەفارەتی گوناهەکانمان نارد.

Herein is love; not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins.

11 خۆشەویستان، ئەگەر خودا بەم شێوەیە خۆشیویستین، پێویستە لەسەرمان یەکتریمان خۆشبوێ.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12 هەرگیز کەس خودای نەبینیوە. ئەگەر یەکتریمان خۆشبوێ، ئەوا بە یەکگرتوویی لەگەڵ خودا دەژین و خۆشەویستییەکەی لە ناخماندا تەواوە.

No one hath ever seen God: but if we love one another, God dwelleth in us and his love is perfected in us.

13 بەمەدا دەزانین کە ئێمە بە یەکبوون لەگەڵ خودا دەژین و خوداش بە یەکبوون لەگەڵ ئێمە دەژیێت: ئەو لە ڕۆحی خۆی پێداوین.

By this we know that we are in Him, and He in us; because He hath given us of his Spirit.

14 ئێمەش بینیمان و شایەتی دەدەین کە باوک کوڕی خۆی ناردووە بۆ ئەوەی ببێتە ڕزگارکەری جیهان.

And we have seen, and do testify, that the Father hath sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

15 هەرکەسێک دانی پێدا بنێت کە عیسا کوڕی خودایە، ئەوا خودا بە یەکگرتوویی لەگەڵ ئەو کەسەدا دەژیێت، ئەویش بە یەکگرتوویی لەگەڵ خودا دەژیێت.

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

16 ئێمەش ئەو خۆشەویستییەی خودا کە بۆ ئێمەیە ناسیمان و باوەڕمان پێکرد. خودا خۆشەویستییە. ئەوەی لە خۆشەویستیدا دەژیێت، ئەوا بە یەکگرتوویی لەگەڵ خودا دەژیێت، خوداش بە هەمان شێوە لەگەڵ ئەودا دەژیێت.

And we have known and believed the love which God hath towards us: for God is love; and he, that dwelleth in love, dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17 بەم شێوەیە خۆشەویستی لە نێوماندا گەیشتووەتە تەواوەتی تاکو لە ڕۆژی لێپرسینەوەدا دڵنیا بین، چونکە ئێمەش لەم جیهانەدا وەک عیسا دەبین.

Herein is love perfected with us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement; for as He is, we also are in this world.

18 خۆشەویستی ترسی تێدا نییە، بەڵکو خۆشەویستی تەواو ترس دەردەکاتە دەرەوە، چونکە ترس لە سزاوە دێت. ئەوەی بترسێت لە خۆشەویستیدا تەواو نەبووە.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear; because fear hath torment; but he that feareth is not perfected in love.

19 خۆشماندەوێت، چونکە یەکەم جار ئەو خۆشیویستووین.

We love Him, because He first loved us. If any one say,

20 ئەگەر یەکێک گوتی: «خودام خۆشدەوێت» و ڕقی لە خوشکی یان براکەی بێتەوە، ئەوە درۆزنە، چونکە ئەوەی خوشک و برای خۆی خۆشنەوێت کە بینیویەتی، ناتوانێت خودای خۆشبوێ کە نەیبینیوە.

I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for how can he, that loveth not his brother, whom he hath seen, love God whom he hath not seen?

21 لە ئەوەوە ئەم ڕاسپاردەیەمان دراوەتێ: ئەوەی خودای خۆشبوێ، با خوشکەکە و براکەشی خۆشبوێ.

And we have this commandment from Him, that he, who loveth God, should love his brother also.
