< Psalm 44 >
1 [Psalm lun Tulik natul Korah] O God, kut tuh lohng ke insresr sifacna Ma mwet matu lasr elos fahk nu sesr Ke orekma yohk su kom oru nu selos in pacl lalos Ke pacl loeloes somla:
TO THE OVERSEER. AN INSTRUCTION OF THE SONS OF KORAH. O God, we have heard with our ears, Our fathers have recounted to us, The work You worked in their days, In the days of old.
2 Ke kom sifacna lusla mwet koluk liki facl selos Ac oakiya mwet lom in acn selos; Ac ke kom kai pac mutunfacl saya Ac oru tuh mutunfacl lom in kapkapak.
You, [with] Your hand, have dispossessed nations. And You plant them. You afflict peoples, and send them away.
3 Mwet lom elos tia sruokya acn inge ke cutlass natulos, Elos tia kutangla ke ku lalos sifacna, A ke ku lulap lom, Ac ke kom welulos. Ma inge akkalemye lah kom lungse elos.
For they did not possess the land by their sword, And their arm did not give salvation to them, But Your right hand, and Your arm, And the light of Your countenance, Because You had accepted them.
4 Kom tokosra luk ac God luk; Kom sang kutangla nu sin mwet lom,
You [are] He, my King, O God, Command the deliverances of Jacob.
5 Ac ke ku lom kut kutangla mwet lokoalok lasr.
By You we push our adversaries, By Your Name we tread down our withstanders,
6 Nga tia lulalfongi ke mwe pisr nutik Ku ke cutlass nutik in moliyula.
For I do not trust in my bow, And my sword does not save me.
7 A kom pa molikutla liki mwet lokoalok lasr Ac kutangulosla su srungakut.
For You have saved us from our adversaries, And You have put to shame those hating us.
8 Kut ac fah kaksakin kom pacl e nukewa Ac sot kulo nu sum nwe tok ma pahtpat.
In God we have boasted all the day, And we thank Your Name for all time. (Selah)
9 Tuh pa inge kom siskutla ac lela tuh in kutangyukla kut; Kom tia sifil wi mwet mweun lasr fahsr nu ke mweun.
In anger You have cast off and cause us to blush, And do not go forth with our hosts.
10 Kom tuh oru kut kaingkin mwet lokoalok lasr, Na elos eisla ma lasr tuh in ma lalos.
You cause us to turn backward from an adversary, And those hating us, Have spoiled for themselves.
11 Ac kom lela tuh in anwuki kut oana sheep; Kom akfahsryekutelik in facl sin mwetsac.
You make us food like sheep, And You have scattered us among nations.
12 Kom kukakunla mwet lom ke moul na srik Oana elos in ma na pilasr.
You sell Your people—without wealth, And have not become great by their price.
13 Ke mwet tulan lasr liye ma kom oru nu sesr inge, Elos aksruksrukye kut ac isrun kut.
You make us a reproach to our neighbors, A scorn and a reproach to our surrounders.
14 Kom orekut in mwe tafunkas inmasrlon mutanfahl uh; Ac mwet uh usruk sifalos kacsr in aksruksrukye kut.
You make us an allegory among nations, A shaking of the head among peoples.
15 Akpusiselyeyuk nga pacl nukewa; Ac arulana yohk mwekin luk
All the day my confusion [is] before me, And the shame of my face has covered me.
16 Ke nga lohng pusren aksruksruk ac kas in akkoluk Lun mwet lokoalok luk, su srungayu.
Because of the voice of a reproacher and reviler, Because of an enemy and a self-avenger.
17 Ma inge nukewa sikyak nu sesr Kut finne tiana mulkinkomla Ku kunausla wulela su kom oakiya inmasrlosr ac kom.
All this met us, and we did not forget You, Nor have we dealt falsely in Your covenant.
18 Kut tiana pilesrekomla; Kut tiana seakos ma sap lom.
We do not turn our heart backward, Nor turn aside our step from Your path.
19 Ne ouinge kom filikuti inmasrlon kosro lemnak; Ac kom siskutla in nien lohsr matoltol.
But You have struck us in a place of dragons, And cover us over with death-shade.
20 Kut funu tui ac tila alu nu sin God lasr A kut alu nu sin god saya,
If we have forgotten the Name of our God, And spread our hands to a strange God,
21 Kom lukun konauk tari, Mweyen kom etu na pwaye nunak lukma lasr.
Does God not search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.
22 Tuh ke sripom, kutu sesr anwuki len nukewa; Orek kut oana sheep su kokola nu ke misa.
Surely, for Your sake we have been slain all the day, Reckoned as sheep of the slaughter.
23 O Leum, ngutalik! Efu kom ku motul? Tukakek! Nikmet siskutla nwe tok!
Stir up—why do You sleep, O Lord? Awake, do not cast us off forever.
24 Efu kom ku wikla liki kut? Nikmet mulkunla keok ac ongoiya lasr!
Why do You hide Your face? You forget our afflictions and our oppression,
25 Kut itungyuki nu fin fohk uh; Kut kutangyukla oan infohk uh.
For our soul has bowed to the dust, Our belly has cleaved to the earth.
26 Fahsru ac kasrekut! Molikutla ke lungse kawil lom!
Arise, a help to us, And ransom us for your kindness’ sake.
