ಯೋಬನು 31
1 “ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಮದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ನೋಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡೆನು.
I made couenaunt with myn iyen, that Y schulde not thenke of a virgyn.
2 ದೇವರು ಮೇಲಣ ಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಯಾವ ಪಾಲನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸುವರು? ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರು ಉನ್ನತಾಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಕೊಡುವ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಯಾವುದು?
For what part schulde God aboue haue in me, and eritage Almyyti God of hiye thingis?
3 ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ವಿಪತ್ತು ಇಲ್ಲವೋ? ಕೆಡುಕರಿಗೆ ವಿನಾಶ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ?
Whether perdicioun is not to a wickid man, and alienacioun of God is to men worchynge wickidnesse?
4 ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ನನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಣಿಸುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲವೆ?
Whether he biholdith not my weies, and noumbrith alle my goyngis?
5 “ನಾನು ಕಪಟವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ, ಮೋಸಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಕಾಲು ತ್ವರೆಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರೆ,
If Y yede in vanyte, and my foot hastide in gile,
6 ದೇವರು ನ್ಯಾಯದ ತಕ್ಕಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತೂಗಿ ನೋಡಲಿ; ನಾನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿ ಎಂದು ದೇವರು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ.
God weie me in a iust balaunce, and knowe my symplenesse.
7 ನಾನು ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪಿ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ಕಂಡವುಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ನನ್ನ ಅಂಗೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೋಷ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ,
If my step bowide fro the weie; if myn iye suede myn herte, and a spotte cleuede to myn hondis;
8 ನಾನು ಬಿತ್ತುವುದನ್ನು ಬೇರೊಬ್ಬನು ಉಣ್ಣಲಿ; ನನ್ನ ಬೆಳೆಯು ಬುಡಮೇಲಾಗಲಿ.
sowe Y, and another ete, and my generacioun be drawun out bi the root.
9 “ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಪರಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ ಮರುಳಾಗಿ, ನನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನ ಬಾಗಿಲ ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಾನು ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕಿದ್ದರೆ,
If myn herte was disseyued on a womman, and if Y settide aspies at the dore of my frend; my wijf be the hoore of anothir man,
10 ನನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಧಾನ್ಯಬೀಸಲಿ, ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರು ಅವಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲಗಲಿ.
and othir men be bowid doun on hir.
11 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಹಾಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅಂಥ ನಡತೆ ದುಷ್ಕಾರ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು, ಆ ಅಪರಾಧವು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳ ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
For this is vnleueful, and the moost wickidnesse.
12 ಅದು ನಾಶಲೋಕದವರೆಗೆ ದಹಿಸುವಂಥಾ ಅಗ್ನಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು, ಅದು ನನ್ನ ಆದಾಯವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
Fier is deourynge `til to wastyng, and drawynge vp bi the roote alle generaciouns.
13 “ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನನಗೂ ನನ್ನ ದಾಸದಾಸಿಯರಿಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾದಾಗ, ನಾನು ಅವರ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದ್ದರೆ,
If Y dispiside to take doom with my seruaunt and myn hand mayde, whanne thei stryueden ayens me.
14 ದೇವರು ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗೆ ಏಳುವಾಗ ನಾನು ಏನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು? ದೇವರು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವಾಗ, ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಏನು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು?
What sotheli schal Y do, whanne God schal rise to deme? and whanne he schal axe, what schal Y answere to hym?
15 ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ ದೇವರೇ ಅವರನ್ನೂ ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರಲ್ಲವೇ? ಅವರನ್ನೂ, ನನ್ನನ್ನೂ ತಾಯಂದಿರ ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ರೂಪಿಸಿದ ದೇವರು ಒಬ್ಬರೇ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?
Whether he, that wrouyte also hym, made not me in the wombe, and o God formede me in the wombe?
16 “ನಾನು ಬಡವರ ಬಯಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸಿದೆನೋ? ವಿಧವೆಯ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಮಂಕಾಗಿಸಿದೆನೋ?
If Y denyede to pore men that, that thei wolden, and if Y made the iyen of a wydewe to abide;
17 ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವರು ಊಟ ಉಣ್ಣದ ಹಾಗೆ, ನಾನು ಮಾತ್ರ ತುತ್ತನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ತಿಂದೆನೋ?
if Y aloone eet my mussel, and a faderles child eet not therof;
18 ಇಲ್ಲಾ, ನನ್ನ ಯೌವನಕಾಲದಿಂದ ನಾನು ಅನಾಥರನ್ನು ತಂದೆಯಂತೆ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದೆನು. ಹುಟ್ಟಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ವಿಧವೆಯರಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು.
for merciful doyng encreesside with me fro my yong childhed, and yede out of my modris wombe with me;
19 ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುವವರನ್ನೂ, ಹೊದಿಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ನಡುಗುವವರನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗೆಲ್ಲಾ,
if Y dispiside a man passynge forth, for he hadde not a cloth, and a pore man with out hilyng;
20 ಆ ಬಡವರು ನನ್ನ ಕುರಿ ಉಣ್ಣೆಯಿಂದ ಬೆಚ್ಚಗಾಗಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಅಂತರಾಳದಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹರಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?
if hise sidis blessiden not me, and was not maad hoot of the fleeces of my scheep;
21 ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಉಂಟೆಂದು ಕಂಡು, ನಾನು ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ,
if Y reiside myn hond on a fadirles child, yhe, whanne Y siy me the hiyere in the yate;
22 ನನ್ನ ಹೆಗಲು, ಬೆನ್ನಿನ ಕೀಲು ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋಗಲಿ; ನನ್ನ ತೋಳು ಅದರ ಸಂದಿನಿಂದ ಕಳಚಿಬೀಳಲಿ.
my schuldre falle fro his ioynt, and myn arm with hise boonys be al to-brokun.
23 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಬರುವ ವಿಪತ್ತಿನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನನಗೆ ಹೆದರಿಕೆಯಾಯಿತು; ದೇವರ ಪ್ರಭಾವದ ಭಯದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಾನು ಇಂಥ ಕೃತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
For euere Y dredde God, as wawis wexynge gret on me; and `Y myyte not bere his birthun.
24 “ನಾನು ಬಂಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅಪರಂಜಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಭದ್ರತೆ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರೆ,
If Y gesside gold my strengthe, and if Y seide to purid gold, Thou art my trist;
25 ನನ್ನ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವು ಬಹಳ ಎಂದು ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ, ನನ್ನ ಕೈ ಬಹಳ ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರೆ,
if Y was glad on my many ritchessis, and for myn hond foond ful many thingis;
26 ನಾನು ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಹೊಳೆಯುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ, ಚಂದ್ರನು ಪ್ರಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಲಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ,
if Y siy the sunne, whanne it schynede, and the moone goynge clereli;
27 ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಮರುಳುಗೊಂಡು, ನನ್ನ ಕೈ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಗೌರವದಿಂದ ಮುಗಿದಿದ್ದರೆ,
and if myn herte was glad in priuyte, and if Y kisside myn hond with my mouth;
28 ಇದು ಸಹ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯ ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಆಗ ನಾನು ಉನ್ನತದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ದ್ರೋಹಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.
which is the moost wickidnesse, and deniyng ayens hiyeste God;
29 “ವೈರಿಯ ನಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟು, ವೈರಿಗೆ ಕೇಡು ಬಂದಾಗ ಹಿಗ್ಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಗರ್ವಪಟ್ಟೆನೋ?
if Y hadde ioye at the fallyng of hym, that hatide me, and if Y ioide fulli, that yuel hadde founde hym;
30 ಇಲ್ಲ, ಅವನ ಸಾಯಲಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಶಾಪ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಅಂಥ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
for Y yaf not my throte to do synne, that Y schulde asaile and curse his soule;
31 ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯ ಕೆಲಸದವರು, ‘ಯೋಬನು ನೀಡಿದ ಭೋಜನದಿಂದ ತೃಪ್ತರಾಗದವರು ಯಾರು?’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲವೆ?
if the men of my tabernacle seiden not, Who yyueth, that we be fillid of hise fleischis? a pilgryme dwellide not with outforth;
32 ಆದರೆ ಯಾವ ಪರದೇಶಸ್ಥರೂ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಂಗಬೇಕಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಬಾಗಿಲು ಸದಾ ತೆರೆದಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೆನು.
my dore was opyn to a weiegoere;
33 ನಾನು ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಅಪರಾಧ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿ, ಮಾನವರಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ದ್ರೋಹವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
if Y as man hidde my synne, and helide my wickidnesse in my bosum;
34 ನಾನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮೂಹಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆದರಿದೆನೋ? ಕುಲಗಳ ಅವಹೇಳನಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳವಳಗೊಂಡರೂ, ಬಾಗಿಲಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗದೆ ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದೆನೋ?
if Y dredde at ful greet multitude, and if dispisyng of neyyboris made me aferd; and not more Y was stille, and yede not out of the dore;
35 “ನನ್ನ ಕರೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡತಕ್ಕವರು ಒಬ್ಬರು ಈಗ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಲೇಸು! ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರು ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡಲಿ; ನನ್ನ ವಿರೋಧಿಯು ನನ್ನ ಆಪಾದನಾ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬರೆದು ಕೊಡಲಿ.
who yyueth an helpere to me, that Almyyti God here my desire? that he that demeth,
36 ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಲಿಖಿತವನ್ನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ; ಅದನ್ನು ಕಿರೀಟವಾಗಿ ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.
write a book, that Y bere it in my schuldre, and cumpasse it as a coroun to me?
37 ನನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳ ಲೆಕ್ಕವನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು; ಒಬ್ಬ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಂತೆ ನಾನು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸಮೀಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.
Bi alle my degrees Y schal pronounce it, and Y schal as offre it to the prynce.
38 “ನನ್ನ ಹೊಲ ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟಿಸಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅದರ ನೇಗಿಲ ಗೆರೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ದೂರಿ ಅಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ,
If my lond crieth ayens me, and hise forewis wepen with it;
39 ಕೂಲಿಕೊಡದೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ನಾನು ತಿಂದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅದರ ಯಜಮಾನರ ಪ್ರಾಣಹಾನಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ,
if Y eet fruytis therof with out money, and Y turmentide the soule of erthetileris of it;
40 ಗೋಧಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಳೂ, ಜವೆಗೋಧಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಕಳೆಗಳೂ ಬೆಳೆಯಲಿ.” ಹೀಗೆ ಯೋಬನ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಮುಗಿದವು.
a brere growe to me for wheete, and a thorn for barli.
