ಗಲಾತ್ಯದವರಿಗೆ ಬರೆದ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ 3
1 ಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಗಲಾತ್ಯದವರೇ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಟಮಾಡಿಸಿದವರು ಯಾರು? ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತರು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೆ?
O foolish Galatians, who bewitched you not to obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was earlier described among you, crucified?
2 ಇದೊಂದನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ತಿಳಿಯಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನೀವು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಆತ್ಮರನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು ನಿಯಮದ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಿಂದಲೋ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನಂಬಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೋ?
I only want to learn this from you. Did ye receive the Spirit from works of law, or from a listening ear of faith?
3 ನೀವು ಇಷ್ಟು ಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿಲ್ಲದವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಾ? ನೀವು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಆತ್ಮರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ಈಗ ಮಾನವೀಯವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣರಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದ್ದೀರಾ?
Are ye so foolish, having begun in Spirit, are ye now made perfect by flesh?
4 ನೀವು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಬಾಧೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ್ದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಯಿತೋ?
Did ye suffer so many things in vain? If it is indeed in vain.
5 ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಯಿತು. ದೇವರು ಪವಿತ್ರ ಆತ್ಮರನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ಭುತಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದು ನಿಯಮದ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಿಂದಲೋ ಅಥವಾ ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿ ನಂಬಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೋ?
He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and who works miracles among you, is it from works of law or from a listening ear of faith?
6 ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ, “ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಂಬಿದನು. ಆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ಅದು ಅವನ ಲೆಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ನೀತಿ ಎಂದು ಎಣಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.”
Just as Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.
7 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಂಬುವವರೇ, ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಂದು ನೀವು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
Ye know therefore that those from faith, these are sons of Abraham.
8 ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲದವರನ್ನು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ದೇವರು ನೀತಿವಂತರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವರು ಎಂದು ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದವು ಮೊದಲೇ ಕಂಡು, “ನಿನ್ನ ಮೂಲಕ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೂ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದು,” ಎಂಬ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ, ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿಯೇ ಸಾರಿತು.
And the scripture having foreseen that God makes the Gentiles righteous from faith, proclaimed the good news in advance to Abraham: In thee all the nations will be blessed.
9 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಂಬುವ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಹೊಂದುವರು.
So then those from faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.
10 ಮೋಶೆಯ ನಿಯಮದ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಶಾಪಾಧೀನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, “ಮೋಶೆಯ ನಿಯಮದ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳದಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತನು,” ಎಂದು ಬರೆದಿದೆ.
For as many as are from works of law are under a curse, for it is written, Cursed is every man who does not continue in all things written in the book of the law, to do them.
11 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿಯಮದಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಯಾರೂ ನೀತಿವಂತರೆಂಬ ನಿರ್ಣಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, “ನೀತಿವಂತನು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಬದುಕುವನು.”
But that no man is made righteous by law before God, is evident, because, The righteous man will live from faith.
12 ನಿಯಮವು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಆಧಾರಗೊಂಡದ್ದಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ, “ನಿಯಮಗಳ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವನು ಅವುಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಬದುಕುವನು.”
And the law is not from faith, but the man who does them will live in them.
13 ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದದಲ್ಲಿ, “ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ತೂಗುಹಾಕಲಾದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತನು,” ಎಂದು ಬರೆದಿರುವಂತೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸು ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ತೂಗುಹಾಕಲಾಗಿ ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ಥರಾಗಿ ನಿಯಮದ ಶಾಪದೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದರು.
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, Cursed is every man who hangs on a tree.
14 ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿ, ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮರನ್ನು ನಾವು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದರು.
So that the blessing of Abraham might occur for the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through the faith.
15 ಪ್ರಿಯರೇ, ನಾನು ದಿನನಿತ್ಯದ ವ್ಯವಹಾರದಂತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನೊಡನೆ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ರದ್ದು ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕೂಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Brothers (I speak according to a man), in the same way of a man, no man annuls or adds to a contract that has been ratified.
16 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಸಂತತಿಗೂ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳು ಮಾಡಲಾದವು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗಳಿಗೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸದೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೇ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದೆ. ಆ ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವೇ.
Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, And to the seeds, as of many, but as of one, And to thy seed, who is Christ.
17 ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವ ಮಾತಿನ ತಾತ್ಪರ್ಯ ಏನೆಂದರೆ, ದೇವರು ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನೂರ ಮೂವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ತರುವಾಯ ಬಂದ ಮೋಶೆಯ ನಿಯಮವು ಆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವನ್ನು ರದ್ದುಪಡಿಸಲಾಗದು ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯರ್ಥಪಡಿಸಲಾಗದು.
And I say this, a covenant previously confirmed by God in Christ, the law, which happened four hundred and thirty years after, does not annul in order to make the promise useless.
18 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯು ನಿಯಮದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅದು ಇನ್ನು ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಧಾರವಾದದ್ದಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ಮೂಲಕವೇ ಆ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
For if the inheritance is from law, it is no longer from promise. But God has given it to Abraham through promise.
19 ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಮೋಶೆಯ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು? ಅಪರಾಧಗಳ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಮೂಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ನಿಯಮವು ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಇದು ಆ ಸಂತತಿಯಾದಾತನು ಬರುವ ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ತನಕ ಮಾತ್ರವಾಗಿರುವುದು. ಹೀಗೆ ನಿಯಮವು ದೇವದೂತರ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.
Why then the law? It was added on account of transgressions, until the seed would come to whom it was promised, which was arranged through agents in the hand of a mediator.
20 ಒಂದು ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನವನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವುದು; ದೇವರಾದರೋ ಒಬ್ಬರೇ.
Now a mediator is not of one, but God is one.
21 ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನಿಯಮವು ದೇವರ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವೋ? ಹಾಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಆಗಬಾರದು! ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ನಿಯಮವು ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ನೀಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಶಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮೋಶೆಯ ನಿಯಮದಿಂದ ನೀತಿವಂತರಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆವು.
Is the law therefore against the promises of God? May it not happen! For if a law was given that could make alive, truly righteousness would be from law.
22 ಆದರೆ ಸಮಸ್ತವೂ ಪಾಪದ ಅಧೀನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಪವಿತ್ರ ವೇದ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವು ಅವರ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
But scripture confined all things under sin, so that the promise from faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
23 ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ನಾವು ನಿಯಮದ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದೆವು. ಬರಲಿರುವ ಆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗುವ ತನಕ ನಾವು ಸೆರೆಯಾದವರಂತೆ ಇದ್ದೆವು.
But before faith came we were kept in custody under law, having been confined for faith that was going to be revealed.
24 ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ನಿಯಮವು ನಮ್ಮ ಪೋಷಕನಂತಿತ್ತು. ನಾವು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀತಿವಂತರಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತರುವ ತನಕ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
So that the law became our schoolmaster for Christ, so that we might be made righteous from faith.
25 ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ಬಂದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ನಾವು ಪೋಷಕ ಎಂಬ ನಿಯಮದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲ.
But faith having come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟಿರುವ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
For ye are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
27 ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ, ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರಿ.
For as many as were immersed into Christ have put on Christ.
28 ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೇ ಆಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲದವರು ಎಂದೂ ದಾಸರು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರರು ಎಂದೂ ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಎಂದೂ ಭೇದವಿಲ್ಲ.
There is no Jew nor Greek, there is no bondman nor freeman, there is no male and female, for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಕ್ಕನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ವಾರಸುದಾರರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
And if ye are Christ's, then ye are Abraham's seed and heirs according to promise.
