ಸಮುವೇಲನು - ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಭಾಗ 6
1 ದಾವೀದನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಿಸಿದ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಸೈನಿಕರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು,
David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
2 ಆ ಕೆರೂಬಿಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಕರೆಯಲಾದ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಬಾಲಾ ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೊರಟನು.
David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale Judah, to bring up from there God’s ark, which is called by the Name, even the name of the LORD of Armies who sits above the cherubim.
3 ಆಗ ಅವರು ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಅಬೀನಾದಾಬನ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊಸ ಬಂಡಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರಿಸಿದರು. ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಬೀನಾದಾಬನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಉಜ್ಜನು ಹಾಗೂ ಅಹಿಯೋವನು ಆ ಹೊಸ ಬಂಡಿಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
They set God’s ark on a new cart, and brought it out of Abinadab’s house that was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.
4 ಅಬೀನಾದಾಬನ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ತಂದಾಗ ಅಹಿಯೋವನು ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷದ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆದನು.
They brought it out of Abinadab’s house which was in the hill, with God’s ark; and Ahio went before the ark.
5 ದಾವೀದನೂ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೂ ಸಕಲ ವಾದ್ಯಗಳಾದ ಕಿನ್ನರಿ, ವೀಣೆ, ದಮ್ಮಡಿ, ಸ್ವರಮಂಡಲ, ತಾಳ, ತುತೂರಿ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಬಲದಿಂದ ಬಾರಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಹಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋದರು.
David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD with all kinds of instruments made of cypress wood, with harps, with stringed instruments, with tambourines, with castanets, and with cymbals.
6 ಅವರು ನಾಕೋನನ ಕಣದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಎತ್ತುಗಳು ಎಡವಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಉಜ್ಜನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಚಾಚಿ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದನು.
When they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah reached for God’s ark and took hold of it, for the cattle stumbled.
7 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಉಜ್ಜನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು, ಅಂಥ ಅಗೌರವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು; ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತನು.
The LORD’s anger burnt against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by God’s ark.
8 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಉಜ್ಜನನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ದಾವೀದನು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಪೆರೆಚ್ ಉಜ್ಜ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು, ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಪೆರೆಚ್ ಉಜ್ಜ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
David was displeased because the LORD had broken out against Uzzah; and he called that place Perez Uzzah to this day.
9 ದಾವೀದನು ಆ ದಿನ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು, “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ನಾನಿರುವಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವದು?” ಎಂದನು.
David was afraid of the LORD that day; and he said, “How could the LORD’s ark come to me?”
10 ದಾವೀದನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲದೆ, ಗಿತ್ತೀಯನಾದ ಓಬೇದ್ ಏದೋಮನ ಮನೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದನು.
So David would not move the LORD’s ark to be with him in David’s city; but David carried it aside into Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house.
11 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವು ಗಿತ್ತೀಯನಾದ ಓಬೇದ್ ಏದೋಮನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಓಬೇದ್ ಎದೋಮನನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದರು.
The LORD’s ark remained in Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house three months; and the LORD blessed Obed-Edom and all his house.
12 “ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಓಬೇದ್ ಏದೋಮನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಉಂಟಾದದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಹೋಗಿ, ಓಬೇದ್ ಏದೋಮನ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿ ತಂದನು.
King David was told, “The LORD has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that belongs to him, because of God’s ark.” So David went and brought up God’s ark from the house of Obed-Edom into David’s city with joy.
13 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವವರು ಆರು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ನಡೆದಾಗ, ಅವನು ಎತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
When those who bore the LORD’s ark had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fattened calf.
14 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದಾವೀದನು ನಾರಿನ ಏಫೋದನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ಣಬಲದಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಕುಣಿದಾಡಿದನು.
David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was clothed in a linen ephod.
15 ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ದಾವೀದನೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಆರ್ಭಟದಿಂದಲೂ, ತುತೂರಿಯ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದಲೂ ಬರಮಾಡಿದರು.
So David and all the house of Israel brought up the LORD’s ark with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.
16 ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವು ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವಾಗ, ಸೌಲನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಮೀಕಲಳು ಕಿಟಕಿಯಿಂದ ನೋಡಿ, ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಕುಣಿದಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದಳು.
As the LORD’s ark came into David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out through the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.
17 ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಒಳಗೆ ತಂದು, ದಾವೀದನು ಅದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಹಾಕಿದ ಗುಡಾರದೊಳಗೆ ಅದರ ನಿಯಮಿತ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟ ತರುವಾಯ, ದಾವೀದನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.
They brought in the LORD’s ark, and set it in its place in the middle of the tent that David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.
18 ದಾವೀದನು ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ ತರುವಾಯ, ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ,
When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of Armies.
19 ನೆರೆದುಬಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಪುರುಷನಿಗೂ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೂ, ಒಂದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಖರ್ಜೂರದ ಉಂಡೆಯನ್ನೂ, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ಉಂಡೆಯನ್ನೂ ಹಂಚಿದನು. ತರುವಾಯ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು.
He gave to all the people, even amongst the whole multitude of Israel, both to men and women, to everyone a portion of bread, dates, and raisins. So all the people departed, each to his own house.
20 ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿದಾಗ, ಸೌಲನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಮೀಕಲಳು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಬಂದು, “ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರಯೋಜಕ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ನಾಚಿಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ತನ್ನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿ ಹಾಕಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ, ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ದಾಸಿಯರ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮುಂದೆ ತನ್ನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಹಾಕಿದ್ದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಎಷ್ಟು ಘನಹೊಂದಿದನು?” ಎಂದಳು.
Then David returned to bless his household. Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, “How glorious the king of Israel was today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of his servants’ maids, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!”
21 ಆದರೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಮೀಕಲಳಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಕುಣಿದದ್ದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ; ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ನನ್ನನ್ನೇ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಕುಣಿದಾಡುವೆನು.
David said to Michal, “It was before the LORD, who chose me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will celebrate before the LORD.
22 ನಾನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಇದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಅಲ್ಪನಾಗಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಹೀನೈಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಸಿದ್ಧನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ ದಾಸಿಯರಿಂದ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಘನತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವೆನು,” ಎಂದನು.
I will be yet more undignified than this, and will be worthless in my own sight. But the maids of whom you have spoken will honour me.”
23 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸೌಲನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಮೀಕಲಳು ತನ್ನ ಮರಣದ ದಿವಸದ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಆಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Michal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.
