ಕೊರಿಂಥದವರಿಗೆ ಬರೆದ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ 2

1 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೊಮ್ಮೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ವೇದನೆಯನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಬಾರದೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆನು.

And I decided this to myself, not to come again to you in sorrow,

2 ನಾನೇ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದುಃಖಪಡಿಸಿದರೆ, ನಾನು ದುಃಖಪಡಿಸಿದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನಲ್ಲದೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆನಂದಪಡಿಸುವವರು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರಿದ್ದಾರೆ?

for if I make you sorry, then who is he who is making me glad, except he who is made sorry by me?

3 ನಾನು ಬಂದಾಗ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆನಂದಪಡಿಸತಕ್ಕವರಿಂದಲೇ ದುಃಖ ಹೊಂದಬಾರದೆಂದು ನಾನು ಹಿಂದಿನ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಆನಂದದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಪಾಲಾಗುವಿರಿ ಎಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಭರವಸೆ ಇದೆ.

And I wrote to you this same thing, that having come, I may not have sorrow from them of whom it was necessary [for] me to have joy, having confidence in you all, that my joy is of you all,

4 ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ನಿಮಗೆ ದುಃಖವಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದಲ್ಲ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ನನಗಿರುವ ಅಧಿಕವಾದ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂತಲೇ ನಾನು ಮಹಾ ದುಃಖದಿಂದಲೂ ಬಹಳ ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಹೃದಯದ ವೇದನೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆದೆನು.

for out of much tribulation and pressure of heart I wrote to you through many tears, not that you might be made sorry, but that you might know the love that I have more abundantly toward you.

5 ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದುಃಖಪಡಿಸಿದರೆ, ಅವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ದುಃಖ ಪಡಿಸದೆ, ಒಂದು ವಿಧದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ದುಃಖಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಹಳ ಕಠಿಣನಾಗಿರಲು ನನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲ.

And if anyone has caused sorrow, he has not caused sorrow to me, but in part, that I may not burden you all;

6 ಅವನಿಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾದ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯೇ ಸಾಕು.

sufficient to such a one is this punishment, that [is] by the greater part,

7 ಈಗ ಅವನನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ ಸಂತೈಸಿರಿ. ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ, ಅವನು ದುಃಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿ ಹೋದಾನು.

so that, on the contrary, [it is] rather for you to forgive and to comfort, lest by over abundant sorrow such a one may be swallowed up;

8 ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಮೊದಲು ಇದ್ದಂತೆ ಈಗಲೂ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ತೋರಿಸಿರಿ ಎಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.

for this reason, I call on you to confirm love to him,

9 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ವಿಧೇಯರಾಗುತ್ತೀರೋ ಏನೋ ಎಂದು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹಾಗೆ ಬರೆದನು.

for this also I wrote, that I might know your proof, whether you are obedient in regard to all things.

10 ನೀವು ಯಾರನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿದರೆ, ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಯಾರನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿದರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೇ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸುವೆನು.

And to whom you forgive anything—I also; for I also, if I have forgiven anything, to whom I have forgiven [it], because of you—in the person of Christ—[I forgive it, ]

11 ಸೈತಾನನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ವಂಚಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಕೊಡಬಾರದು. ಅವನ ಕುತಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಅರಿತವರಲ್ಲವೇ?

that we may not be over-reached by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

12 ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ತ್ರೋವಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದಾಗ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತ ಯೇಸುವು ನನಗೆ ಬಾಗಿಲು ತೆರೆದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು.

And having come to Troas for the good news of the Christ, and a door having been opened to me in the LORD,

13 ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ತೀತನು ನನಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಗದಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಣ, ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ತ್ರೋವದವರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ವಂದನೆಗಳನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸಿ ಮಕೆದೋನ್ಯ ಪ್ರಾಂತಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದೆನು.

I have not had rest to my spirit, on my not finding my brother Titus, but having taken leave of them, I went forth to Macedonia;

14 ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಜಯೋತ್ಸವದೊಡನೆ ಮೆರೆಸುತ್ತಾ, ಅವರ ವಿಷಯವಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನವೆಂಬ ಸುವಾಸನೆಯನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೂಲಕ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಾರಗೊಳಿಸುವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಗಳು.

and to God [is] thanks, who at all times is leading us in triumph in the Christ, and the fragrance of His knowledge He is revealing through us in every place;

15 ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೂ ನಾಶದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೂ ನಾವು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಪರಿಮಳವಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

we are a refreshing fragrance to God because of Christ, in those being saved, and in those being lost;

16 ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಮರಣದ ವಾಸನೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇತರರಿಗೆ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವ ವಾಸನೆಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಇಂಥ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಥರು ಯಾರು?

to one, indeed, a fragrance of death to death, and to the other, a fragrance of life to life; and who is sufficient for these things?

17 ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಮಂದಿ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಲಬೆರಕೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಅದರಿಂದ ಹಣಗಳಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಾವಾದರೋ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವವರಲ್ಲ. ನಾವು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾದವರಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ.

For we are not as the many, adulterating the word of God, but as of sincerity—but as of God; in the presence of God, in Christ we speak.
