1 Ra Anumzana nagri Anumzamoka, kagripi fra nekuanki, nahenaku'ma navrarizama ne-esagenka nagu'vazinka naza huo.
Yahweh my God, I come to you to protect me. Rescue me, save me from all those who are pursuing me [in order to harm me].

If you do not do that, they will tear me into pieces like a lion does [when it attacks the animals it wants to kill], and no one will save me [from them].

Yahweh my God, if I have done anything that is wrong,
4 hazenke'a omne vahe kefo avu'ava huntege, agafa'a omne zante ha' vahe'ni'amofo feno rohumare'na erige'ma hu'nenuana geno'a,
if I have done evil to some friend who did good things to me, or if, for no good reason, I have spared (OR, acted violently toward) those who were my enemies,
5 zamatrege'za ha' vahe'nimo'za narotgo hu'za nazeri'za zamaga kanonu kugusopafi nahetrenage'na ra nagigura nagesa ontahi'na frineno.
allow my enemies to pursue me and capture me. Allow them to trample me into the ground and leave me [SYN] [lying dead] in the dirt.
6 Ra Anumzamoka krimpa hezmantenka otinka, ha' vahe'niaramina kasi vazizana eri zamaveri huo. Otinka zamarimpama ahenenantaza ha' vaheni'a fatgo kavukva hunka refko huzmantenka knazana zamio.
But Yahweh, because you are [very] angry [with those who pursue me], arise and attack/defeat my enemies who are furiously/angrily [attacking me] Do to them what is just!
7 Atrege'za maka vahera emeri atru hu'za manigagisagenka, kagra manisga hunka mani'nenka kegava huzmanto.
Gather around you the people of [all] nations, and rule them from where you are in heaven [MTY].
8 Ra Anumzana maka vahe'ma refko nehia Anumzamo nagrira refko huno keana, nagra fatgo hu'noe. Fatgo navu'nava'ene knare navu'nava hugeno, hazenke zani'a omane'neanki, marerisa Anumzamoka nagrira refko hunanto.
Yahweh, judge the people of [all] nations! And, Yahweh, show that I have done nothing that is wrong.
9 Fatgo Anumzamoka kagra vahe'mofo antahintahine, tumo'enena negana Anumza mani'nananki, atregeno kefo zamavu'zmavama nehaza vahe'mokizmi kefo zamavu'zmava'mo'a vaganerena, fatgo avu'ava'ma nehaza vahera zamaza huge'za hankaveti'za maniho.
God, you know what every person is thinking, and because you are righteous, you [always] do what is just/right. [So now] stop evil people from doing wicked [deeds], and defend [all of us who are] righteous!
10 Marerifa Anumzana agra hankoni'agino, agra tumo'amo'ma fatgoma hu'nea vahera zamagu'nevazie.
God, you protect me like a shield [protects soldiers] [MET]; you protect all those who are righteous in their inner being.
11 Anumzamo'a fatgo huno keaga refko nehia Anumzankino, maka kna arimpa ahenezmante.
You judge [everyone] correctly, and every day you punish [wicked people].
12 Hanki mago vahe'mo'ma agu'ama rukrahe osigeno'a, Anumzamo'a kazima'a kume neganeno, ati'a refagigino karina negreno retrotrara nehie.
Whenever your enemies do not (repent/change their behavior), [it is as though] [MET] you sharpen your sword and put a string on your bow [to get ready to kill them].
13 Vahe'ma ahe fri ha' zama'a retro hunenteno, teve nefa'ane kevea'aramina retro hunente.
You are preparing your weapons that kill those whom they strike; the arrows that you will shoot have flaming tips.
14 Kefo zamavu'zmava'zama nehaza vahe'mo'za kefo avu'ava zamo zamagu'afina avitege'za, a'nemo'za zamu'ene hazaza hu'za hazenke avu'ava zana zamu'ene hu'za krunagema hu'za kasenentaze.
Wicked people tell lies, and they think that they surely will be able to do [MET] the evil things that they are planning to do [just as surely as] a pregnant woman [knows that she is going to give birth to a child] [MET].
15 Hagi iza'o vahe'moma taminogu'ma kerima kafintenimo'a, agra'a ana kerima kafintenia kerifi tamigahie.
But when they dig a deep pit [to trap others], they themselves will fall into it.
16 Vahe'ma hazenkema hunte'nia hazenkemo'a rukrahe huno agri asenire ne-enigeno, vahe'ma azeri haviza hunaku retro'ma hania havizamo'a ete rukrahe huno agri kokovite egahie.
They themselves will experience the trouble that they want to cause others to have; they will hurt themselves by the violent things that they want to do to others.
17 Fatgo avu'ava zama'agura Ra Anumzamofona susu hunente'na, muse zagame hu'na Ra Anumzana Marerifa Anumzamofona agia erisga hugahue.
I praise Yahweh because he [always acts] righteously/justly; I sing to praise Yahweh, the one who is much greater than any other god.
