1 Mofavrenimoke, nagrama rempima hugamua kea kage'okanio. Hianagi kasegeni'a kagu'tumote erintegeno meno.
My son, do not forget what I have taught you. Keep my commands in your inner being,
2 Na'ankure kaza nehanigenka, karimpa frune zaza kafuzage knare hunka maninka vugahane.
because [if you obey them] you will live a long time and things will go well for you
3 Atregeno vahe'ma knare kavukvama huntezamo'ene, tamage avu'avamo'a katreno ovino. Hagi knankempi nofi kintegeno me'ne'na kagu'tumote avonkrentegeno meno.
Always faithfully love others and (be faithful/do what you say that you will do); doing those things [will cause others to be pleased with you]; it will be as though you are wearing a beautiful necklace. Keep those things in your mind/inner being.
4 E'ina'ma hanankeno'a, Anumzamo'ene vahe'mo'zanena kavesinegante'za, husga hugantegahaze.
If you do, God and people will approve of you and think highly of you [MTY].
5 Anumzamofona mika kagu'areti hunka antahi'neminka, nagrani'a antahintahiretira makazana hugahue hunka osuo.
Trust in Yahweh completely, and do not rely on what you yourself understand.
6 Hanki mikazama hanampina antahiminka agihanta nevazigeno, vanana kana azeri ante fatgo hugantegahie.
Always allow him to lead you. If you do that, he will (show you the right path/direct your life).
7 Kagraka'a antahizankura knare hu'ne hunka eri antesga osunka, Anumzamofonku koro huntenka agorga'a nemaninka, havi avu'ava zana kamefi humio.
Do not be proud of being wise. [Instead], revere Yahweh and turn away from doing evil.
8 E'i ana'ma hanankeno'a, kavufa kazeri neganamreno, zaferina ka'a kazeri hanavetigahie.
If you do that, your body will be healthy/strong; it will be [like] medicine for you.
9 Feno zanka'anu'ene hozakafima pusama nenama hania nezanteti'ene Ra Anumzamofona aminka, agia erintesga huo.
Honor Yahweh by [what you do with] your money; and [by giving him] the first part of your harvest.
10 Ana hanankeno Anumzamo'a kaza nehina nezama ante nonka'amo'a aviteno herafi neramina, waini tintafemofona kasefa waini timo aviteno tagiramigahie.
If you do that, [you will have a good harvest]. Yahweh will fill your barns [with grain], and your vats/containers will be overflowing with [grape juice for making] wine.
11 Mofavre'nimoka Ra Anumzamoma, kazeri fatgo hania kegura, kamefira huomige, kazeri fatgoma hunaku kazeri akorisiana karimpagna osuo.
My son, when Yahweh disciplines/corrects you, do not despise it, and if he rebukes you, do not resent it.
12 Na'ankure mago ne'mo'ma mofavre'ama avesima nenteno azeri fatgo nehiankna huno, Ra Anumzamo'a avesimantea vahera azeri fatgo nehie.
[I say that] because it is the people whom Yahweh loves that he corrects/reproves, [just] like parents correct/reprove their sons whom they love.
13 Iza'o knare antahintahigu hakreno e'nerino, antahi ama'huzama erisimo'a, muse hugahie.
[Yahweh] is pleased with those who become wise and have good understanding.
14 Na'ankure ana knare antahintahimofona mizama'amo'a, silvaretima e'neriza zagoa agateneregeno, goliretima e'neriza zagoa, mago'ane agatere'ne.
Being wise and having good understanding is worth more than silver, better than gold.
15 Knare antahintahimo'a mizama'amo mreri'nea havea agatere'ne, mago'a zankuma nentahinka kavesi kavesima nehana zantamina ageterene.
Being wise is more precious than (jewels/precious stones); there is nothing that you could desire [that would be as valuable] as wisdom.
16 Zaza knama maninka vuzamo'a, knare antahintahimofona tmaga azampi megeno, hoga kaziga azampina fenone, agi husaga hu'za me'ne.
On the one hand, wisdom [PRS] enables [you] to live a long life, and on the other hand, wisdom enables [you] to become rich and to be honored.
17 Knare antahintahimofo avu'ava'ma huzamo'a, krimpafru nehunka muse hugahane.
If [you] are wise, [your] life will be pleasant, and things will go well [for you].
18 Iza'o ana knare antahintahima azerimo'a, asimu eri zafagna hu'neankino, agri avesizama azeri hampo'na hanimo'a muse hugahie.
Wisdom is [like] a tree that gives long life to those who [eagerly] take hold of it, and [Yahweh] is pleased with those who hold onto it tightly.
19 Ra Anumzamo'a knare antahi'zama'areti, ama mopamofo tra'a erifore nehuno, antahi ama' hu antahi'zama'areti mona eri fore hu'ne.
By his wisdom Yahweh created the earth, and by his understanding he put everything in the skies.
20 Agra'a antahizanteti higeno timo'a mopa agu'afintira katati huno marerigeno, hampomo'a atakora nerie.
By his knowledge [he caused] the water that was beneath the earth to burst forth, and he caused rain to fall from the clouds.
21 Mofavre'nimoke atregeno knare antahintahizane, havizane knare zanema antahinka refkohu kavukva'zana kagripintira fanane osina, kegava huo.
My son, [always] keep doing things that are right and things that are smart. If you do that,
22 Hagi ana antahizamo'a kasimu kaminigenka za'za kna nemaninankeno, asunku'zamo'a knankempi kavasese huganteaza hugahie.
you will live [many years] and be honored and respected {people will honor and respect you}.
23 Ana nehunka kama vananana, kva hugantenkenka traka osunka, knare hunka vugahane.
If you do what is right and wise, you will [be able to] walk safely, and you will not (stumble/do things that are wrong) [MET].
24 Kavu'ma masesanana kore osunka, haganentake kavu masegahane.
You will [be able to] lie down [at night] and not be afraid [of anything], and you will sleep peacefully.
25 Ame huno hazenkema esigenka kagra korera nosunka, kefo vahe'ma knazamo'ma azeri haviza hanigenka, korera osuo.
You will not be afraid that something disastrous will happen to you or that storms that strike the wicked will strike you,
26 Na'ankure Ra Anumzamo kagrira kegava hugante'nesigeno, kagafina krifumo'a aze'origahie.
because you will be confident that Yahweh [will take care of you]. He will not let your foot be caught in a trap/snare.
27 Kagrama azama huga kankamunte'ma mani'nesunka, atupa'ma hu'ne'naza vahera amane aza huo.
If you are able to help people who deserve it, do not refuse to help them.
28 Tva'onkare nemani'simofona amiga'ma hu'nesunka, oki ege'na kami'neno hunka osuo.
If you are able to help someone you interact with, do not say, “Come back later; [perhaps] I can help you tomorrow.”
29 Tva'onkare nemanisaza vahera hazenke zamikea retro osuo. Na'ankure kagrikura taza hugahie hu'za antahinegamize.
Do not make plans to harm those you interact with regularly, [because] they live near you, and they trust you.
30 Kegafa'a omaneno, mago kefozama huogante'nesnigenka, mago nera azerinka keaga huonto.
If someone has not harmed you, do not accuse him [by saying that he has harmed you].
31 Hazenkema hanaza vahe'mokizmi zamavu'zmavakura kegasane nosunka, zamagrama hanaza zamavu'zmavara osuo.
Do not envy people who [obtain things by] violent actions, and do not imitate/do what they do.
32 Na'ankure Ra Anumzamo'a akrehe krehe zamavu'zmava'ene vahekura avesra huno agote'nezmanteno, fatgo zamavu'zmava'ma nehaza vaheku avesi'nezmante.
[I say that] because Yahweh considers such people to be abominable/detestable; but he is a friend to [all] those who do what is right.
33 Kefo zamavu'zmava'ma nehaza vahe'mokizmi naga'zmimofona, Ra Anumzamo'a kazusi hunezmante. Hianagi fatgo ne'mofo nagapina asomu hunezmante.
Yahweh curses the families [MTY] of those who are wicked, but he blesses the families of those who are good/righteous.
34 Vahe'mokizmima azanava kema huzmante vahe'mofona, Ra Anumzamo'a agri'enena azanava ke huntegahie. Hianagi anteramino manimofona, asunku hunente.
Yahweh makes fun of those who make fun [of others], but he kindly helps those who are humble.
35 Knare antahi'zane vahe'mo'a, ra agi erigahianagi, neginagi antahi'zane vahe'mo'za, zamagazegu hugahaze.
Wise [people] will be honored {people will honor wise people}, but foolish people will be dishonored/disgraced.
