Nehemaia 4

1 Hanki tagrama Jerusalemi rankuma'mofo kegina ete azeri otuna zamofo nanekema Sameria kazigama kvama hu'nea ne' Senbalati'ma nentahino'a, tusi arimpa aheneranteno, Jiu vahe'mota ki'za zokago ke hurante'ne.

And it came to pass that when Sanballat heard that we built the wall, he was angry and very indignant, and mocked the Jews.

2 Agra eri'za vahe zamavufine, Sameria sondia vahe'mokizmi zamavufina amanage hu'ne, Zamagra hanavezmima omne Jiu vahe'mo'za na'a nehaze? Zamagrama antahi'zana kuma kegina eri so'e hugahune hu'za nehazafi? Zamagra ana maka ofa Kresramana vunaku nehazafi? Zamagra magoke zage ferupina, kegina huvagare'za nehazafi? Tevemo'ma te fragu vazirami'nea haveramina inankna hu'za eri'za kuma kegina eri so'e hunakura nehaze?

And he spoke before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? shall they be permitted to go on? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they finish in a day? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish, when they are burned?

4 Hanki anankema hazama nentahi'na, amanage hu'na nunamuna hu'noe, Anumzantimoka nunamuntia antahiramio. Na'ankure ama vahe'mo'za tagrikura ki'za zokago ke hunerantaze. E'ina hu'negu atregeno ana nanekemo'a zamagri'a zamavufare fore hino. Ana hanige'za ha' vahe'zamimo'za ha' eme huzamante'za zamavareza ru moparega kina ome huzamanteho.

Hear, our God, for we are despised, and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in a land of captivity!

And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee; for they have provoked the builders.

But we built the wall; and all the wall was joined together to the half thereof; for the people had a mind to work.

And it came to pass, when Sanballat, and Tobijah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites heard that the walls of Jerusalem were being repaired, that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth,

8 Ana nehu'za zamagra Jerusalemi kumate naga ha' eme hunerante'za, eri'zama e'neruna eri'za eri haviza hunaku kea retro hu'naze.

and conspired all of them together to come to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it.

9 Ana hu'neanagi tagra Anumzantimofontega nunamuna nehuta, kegavama hu vahera huzamantonke'za feru'ene kenage'enena ha'ma eme hurante zankura kegava hu'naze.

Then we prayed to our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.

10 Hianagi Jiu vahe'mo'za amanage hu'za nehaze, eri'za vahe'mokizmi hankavemo'a hago vagare'za hie. Ana higeno fragu vaziramino'ma hihima hu'nea haveramina rama'a me'neankita eri'zana eri vaga oregahune.

And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens faileth, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build at the wall.

11 Ha' vahetimo'za amanage hu'naze, Jiu vahe'mo'za tagrira ke'za antahi'za osu'nesageta, ame huta vuta ha' ome huzamanteta zamahe vaga resanunkeno, ana eri'zamo'a amne zankna hugahie.

And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come into the midst of them and kill them, and put an end to the work.

12 Hanki ana vahe'mokizmi tva'onte'ma nemaniza Jiu vahe'mo'za 10ni'a zupa naza agatere'za eme tasami'za, maka asoparegati hara eme huranteke nehaze.

And it came to pass that when the Jews that dwelt by them came and told us so ten times, from all the places whence they returned to us,

13 Anagema hazage'na mago'a vahera huzamantoge'za vu'za, keginamo'ma urami'nea kaziga ome kegava nehazage'na, mago'a vahera huzmantoge'za kankamuma maneterema hu'nere bainati kazitamine, karugru kevene, ati kevene eri'ne'za nagate nagate otitere hu'naze.

I set in the lower places behind the wall in exposed places, I even set the people, according to their families, with their swords, their spears and their bows.

And from that time forth the half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them held the spears, and the shields, and the bows, and the corslets; and the captains were behind all the house of Judah.

They that built on the wall, and they that bore burdens, with those that loaded, wrought in the work with one hand, and with the other they held a weapon.

18 Ana nehu'za eri'zama eri'za vahe'mo'za bainati kazina atrazageno zamasoparega urami'nege'za eri'zana eri'naze. Hianagi paziveteti'ma ufema neraza vahe'mo'za nagrane mani'naze.

And the builders had every one his sword girded by his side, and built. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me.

19 Anama hutazage'na kva vahe'tamine ugotama huzmante'naza kva vahetamine mago'a vahetaminena amanage hu'na zamasami'noe, Kegina hu za'za huta vahera afete umani emani huneta eri'zana enerune.

And I said to the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The work is great and extended, and we are scattered upon the wall, one far from another:

20 E'ina hu'negu ina knare'ma ufenkrafama antahisutma, ame hutma nagra mani'nore eme eri tru hiho. Anumzantimo'a tagritega anteno ha' vahetia hara huzamantegahie.

in what place ye hear the sound of the trumpet, thither shall ye assemble to us; our God will fight for us.

21 Hagi anagema hutogeta mika zupa nanteranteti'ma vuno kinagama monafima hanafi'mo'ma ehanatia knare'ma vigeta, kegina eri'zama erita vu'nonana vahera amu'nompinti refko hu'neta mago'amo'za karugru kevea zamazampi eri'ne'za kva nehazageta, mago'amota kuma kegina eri'zana eri'none.

And we laboured in the work; and half of them held the spears from the rising of the dawn till the stars appeared.

22 Hanki ana zupa mago'ene amanage hu'na vahera zamasami'noe, Eri'zama eri vagama resutma mago mago vahe'moka eri'za vahekane Jerusalemi kumara atreta megi'a ovuta, agu'afi mani'neta kenagera kegava huneranteta, msama hanigeta kuma kegina eri'zana erigahaze.

Likewise at the same time I said to the people, Let every one with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, that in the night they may be a guard to us, and [be for] labour in the day.

23 Hagi ana knafina nagrane nafuhe'zane nagri eri'za vahe'mo'zane nagri'ma kvama hunenantaza vahe'mo'zanena kukenatia hate otre'none. Makamota ha'zana tazampi me'negeta otreta, tinteganema vunana tazampinke me'negeta vu'no'ne.

And neither I, nor my brethren, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard that followed me, none of us put off our garments: every one had his weapon on his right side.
