The history of Nehemiah, the son of Hacaliah. Now it came about, in the month Chislev, in the twentieth year, when I was in Shushan, the king's town,
2 Hanki ana zupa mago nenafu ne' Hanani'a mago'a venene'zagane Judatira nagritega azage'na, amanage hu'na zamantahige'noe, Jiu vahe'ma Babiloni kinafinti'ma atre'za vu'naza nagara knare huza mani'zageno, Jerusalemi kuma'mo'enena knare huno me'neo hu'na zamantahigoge'za,
That Hanani, one of my brothers, came with certain men from Judah; and in answer to my request for news of the Jews who had been prisoners and had got away, and of Jerusalem,
They said to me, The small band of Jews now living there in the land are in great trouble and shame: the wall of Jerusalem has been broken down, and its doorways burned with fire.
4 Hagi anankema nentahi'na, mopare mani'na tusi zavi nete'na mago'a zage knafi ne'zana a'o hu'na mani'nena, monafi Anumzamofo avurera zavira netena nunamuna amanage hu'na hu'noe.
Then, after hearing these words, for some days I gave myself up to weeping and sorrow, seated on the earth; and taking no food I made prayer to the God of heaven,
5 Ra Anumzana monafi Anumzamoka hankavenentake hu'nenka marerigaterenana Anumza mani'nane. Ana hu'nenka iza'o kagri'ma kavesi neganteno kagri kasegema amage'ma nentea vahera, vagaore kavesizanu navesi zamantegahue hunka huhagerafi huvempa keka'a amage antenka zamavesi nezamantana Anumza mani'nane.
And said, O Lord, the God of heaven, the great God, greatly to be feared, keeping faith and mercy with those who have love for him and are true to his laws:
6 Muse hugantoanki kavua antenka nenagenka, eri'za vahekamo'nama kagri kavure'ma Israeli vahekagu'ma, feru'ene kenage'enema nunamuma nehuana kagesa antenka antahinamio. Ana nehu'na Israeli vahe'motama kagri kavure'ma hu'nona kumiku'ene, nagra kumiku'ene, nenafa naga'mozama hu'naza kumikura kagri kavure huama nehue.
Let your ear now take note and let your eyes be open, so that you may give ear to the prayer of your servant, which I make before you at this time, day and night, for the children of Israel, your servants, while I put before you the sins of the children of Israel, which we have done against you: truly, I and my father's people are sinners.
7 Kagri kavurera kefo tavutva nehuta, havizantfa hu'none. Ana nehuta amage'ma anteho hunkama eri'za vaheka'a Mosesema ami'nana kasegene tra kekanena amagera onte'none.
We have done great wrong against you, and have not kept the orders, the rules, and the decisions, which you gave to your servant Moses.
8 Hianagi muse hugantoanki eri'za vaheka'a Mosesema amanahu ke'ma hunte'nana kegu kagesa antahio. Tamagra Israeli vahe'motama Nagrite'ma mani fatgoma osutma tamefi'ma hunamisage'na, tamagrira tamazeri panani hanugetma kokankoka vahe moparega vuta eta huta umani emani hugahaze.
Keep in mind, O Lord, the order you gave your servant Moses, saying, If you do wrong I will send you wandering among the peoples:
9 Hianagi tamagrama Nagrite'ma eta kasegeni'ama amage'ma antesage'na, mopama omete emete hutegama kinama ome hu'nesaregatira tamavre'na Nagri nagima hentesga hugahazema hunama huhampri ante'noa kumate tamavre'na egahue hunka'ma hu'nana kegura kagesa antahio.
But if you come back to me and keep my orders and do them, even if those of you who have been forced out are living in the farthest parts of heaven, I will get them from there, and take them back to the place marked out by me for the resting-place of my name.
10 Hanki tagra Israeli vahera Kagri vahe mani'neta Kagri eri'za vahe mani'none. Kagra tusi'a hankaveka'areti'ene, hankavenentake kzanteti taguvazinka kinafinti tavre'nana vahe mani'none.
Now these are your servants and your people, whom you have made yours by your great power and by your strong hand.
11 Ra Anumzamoka muse hugantoanki eri'za vahekamo'nama nunamuma huana kagesa antenka antahi nenaminka, mago'a eri'za vaheka'ama Kagri kagima ahentesgama nehaza eri'za vahe'kamozanema nehaza nunamune nentahinka, muse hugantoankinka menina eri'za vahekamo'na, waini tima tro'ma hu'nama nemua kini ne'mofona arimpa azeri otisankeno asunkura hunanteno, inazanku'ma hanua zana amne tro hanigeno knare'zantfa hino.
O Lord, let your ear take note of the prayer of your servant, and of the prayers of your servants, who take delight in worshipping your name: give help, O Lord, to your servant this day, and let him have mercy in the eyes of this man. (Now I was the king's wine-servant.)
